Finally starting to get the hang of the combo and I'm putting down some half decent sectors but I'm still wildly inconsistent.

Thanks Chris and Matt for the explanation 👍

Theoretical i'm doing the same. But the execution is less affective

I loses about 3 mph on that first turn of T3, i can life with that. But must say that's in a ideal situation.

Chris you say you brake just before the rumble of Corky. I assume you call that long white part before the blue and white start also part of the rumble. Be cause if i brake just before, i will never be able to kiss the apex. I have to brake sooner even before the white part. I use the three on the right side of the screen. I hit the brakes just before the three leaves my screen (using bumper cam).

I really hope i can nick al my relative best splits in 1 lap. Cos in the mean time i spent quite some time on it. The frustration is taking over at the moment. Something that hasn't happened for a long long time during TT's. :grumpy:

Dennis, Mohit hit the nail on the head about not being aggressive, I found the harder I pushed, the slower you get. As soon as you take it smooth and aim for power/slingshot slow in/fast out it starts coming together! The only corners to attack IMHO are turns 1 (hairpin), 5 and the penultimate 2 turns. All the others are caution, caution, caution!

:)

Nice Jon, looks like your getting back up to speed.

Good to have you back.

Thanks Baron, good to be back running again and not too far off the pace. Can't get under 20.5 in T1, and when I do I normally fall off somewhere else. Corkscrew is a lottery!!! Reckon I've still got 0.5 to find for a good lap for me and will keep trying - everyone got very fast whilst I was gone though

If anyone is frustrated w/ how your combo is going then try somethng different. My 4 speed setup is totally laid back and easy to drive. The torque this car has allows it to track through the turns WFO as it clawz it's way out. The engine makes the coolest gurgeling noise when you shift it as it fights to get to the higher revs and because the gears are spred farther apart, the down shift slides are velvety smooth, talk about total control, and if you don't think it can asselerate, Im hitting the S/F line at the same speed I hit with the 6 or 5 speed. Food for thought :dunce:

I tried your gears but can you explain how you get this numbers. because i could not reach them

How I setup his gears is, Final Gear all the way to the right, Top Speed all the way to the left. then set the gears as he posted. Hope that helps!

Of course, don't know why that didn't work for me the first time, lol. Got it now. Thanks my friend.

Sigh....quick(ish) everywhere except the corkscrew. Very fast last sector though. Hopefully can get a little more.

Looks like I'm going to have to throw in the towel on this one and just submit with what I've got. Been battling one of my many episodes of sciatica the last few days and I just can't do it anymore. Tried to muscle through the pain and even got stuck in my playseat, but I just can't do it anymore. It was great fun and sorry to have to quit early, but I just can't take it anymore. Great times everyone and I'll see ya all on the next one hopefully.

I know what you are going through. I have an old back injury that has flared up and it radiates down to the left hip. I had to pull out of the Academy race today because I could not concentrate on the race. Hang in there!

It is great to see you both brave your aches and pains to be here with us! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Yea, I was supposed to be there also but there is no way I could do it. I was really looking forward to meeting everyone and racing/learning from them but there's always next time I guess. Thanks for your well wishes and same to you Al, thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. I'll be back, just need to chill for a day or two.

There is always a next time.... health comes first !

And @ Firecracker, it was nice to see you racing with us online, can imagine it is hard, but I hoped you enjoyed untill the pain took over ;)

Starting to find a rhythm. Times are dropping but I may have to submit with what I have now.

EDIT: Had one more quick go before bed, a smidgen faster at the line.

Good day gentlemen. :) Sorry for the late arrival again. I spent an hour on this yesterday, was about 2 seconds off the pace to T3 and was ready to give up. :ouch: I decided to run it again today to see if I could find some pace and got a much better rhythm, so put another hour in. I used Chris' set up as most people seem to be.

I may try and find time for a last run later today but won't have time tomorrow, so this may be my submission. I think I'm happy with it, particularly given the improvement from yesterday. I hope my last sector at least keeps me in touch with my division mates - it felt pretty wild! Good luck anyway gents. Crazy combo. :)

Fashionably late and irritatingly fast? (j/k)

Great splits! :)
