After reviweing the replay it has been determined that a 50 second penalty is in order for Toyotsupra for cutting the chicane on the final lap, gaining a possition and failing to conceed it back. Official results will be posted tonight.

What a season! GT1 saw the dominance of Shrugging_Atlas and team Venom with OwensRacing sending a strong message on the last race saying he's gonna be at full force for season 3!
While on GT2 it all came down to the last corner of the last lap on the last race! Hon had done everything he needed to retain his title, pole/fast lap/win, while Tissimo was the victim of a spining out of control car early on the race relegating him to 5th and taking any hope of a first championship away from him. Tissimo put his head down and pushed and pushed until on the last lap, on the run down to the chicane he caught up with Gogatrs on worn tires, on the exit from the chicane he made his move and took 4th right before the last lap and with 4th he secured the championship!!!

What a season guys! Very much looking forward to our 3rd season!

And congrats to atlas also for walking away with gt 1...although, if mag didn't havta miss Monaco it would have been a little closer ;)

Jav, since next season there will probably be no Monza and possibly no Monaco, can we please use an original track like grand valley and Tokyo something....

And Toyota, there will probably be a preseason race or 2 before season 3 starts up

Monza is definitely going away, shame because is such a great track and always brings the best racing of the season but unfourtunately it also brings controversy and looking at an hour long replay several times is no fun at all!
LaSarthe will probably be removed for season 3 and Grand Valley will definitely be on the shcedule with possibly Rome or a variation of Cape Ring making its way into the championship, Tokyo is not out of the question either.

hey guys great season again congrats to Atlas and Tissimo on their championships

still have a bad taste in mouth in regards to my championship aspirations

great season jav looking forward to seeing Tokyo on the schedule most for season 3

As Hon passed Supra in the closing laps, my heart sank thinking I had lost the championship... I thought about all the nasty things I was going to say to Jav, lol. But kept pressing on, and it paid off in the last corner passing Gatrs. I wish you all could of saw my face light up as I saw Owens pass Gatrs knowing he just passed me a few minutes before (so was only 10 or so seconds ahead of me).

But looking at the points, I would of still won in 5th place with Hon winning. I thought it was 3 point between 4th and 5, but 4th to 5th is only 2pts. So I still would of had the lead by 1 point at the end (19 points with FL/PP to Hon, 8 to me, 108pts for Hon, 109pts for me).
 
Ok Cowboys, we'll see how it goes on the preseason. As I told you before there's no room in this series to be fooling arround, you better be prepared to push and give it a 100% all the time.

Tiss you got no idea how bad I felt when I spun and ended up right in your path, at that point I was just trying to stay out of everyones way and even took it to the grass to wtay out of the way and that was my big mistake! Thankfully you recovered from it and came trough with your championship! Well done tiss you really desserve this one you fought like a champion and came out victorious!! Well done my friend!

Just to reduce the risk of multiple $hit storms that come with them afterwards. So is that Monza, Le Sarthe and Monaco going?

No one ever said anything about Monaco, but if the group doesn't want the track we'll just replace it. I'm fine with Monaco staying on the calendar!
 
I'll either go with the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race car in GT1 or the Audi R8 LMS, the ZR1 RM in GT2, unless you have changes :)
 
Yeah, we gonna lose the 2 best track off the Gt5, but Tokio and Grand Valley are very good too, maybe Rome can replace other track??
 
Someone mentioned the 95 version of Le Mans was much better for keeping it in bounds. If so. Love to keep that one around.

Monza. Love the track. Understand why it would be dropped.

It was the 2005 version, and yes, it somewhat is, though it feels odd to drive on. Dsitance seems to be different, and plus, we really didn't have that much trouble at La Sarthe, apart from, the Porsche Curve exit, which I don't think is any different.

As for Monza, it's a great track, I don't want to see it go, especially not for a track like Rome or Tokyo, those tracks are dreadful. If anything, Monza, Monaco and La Sarthe should stay, those are the series gems.

Also, just saying, Season 3 won't be a Venom affair. The Driver's Title will be mine :D
 
I don't want to lose Monza or lasarthe either,those are 2 of my best\favorite tracks, but half this thread is from controversy involving those 2 tracks lol

Maybe its just me with Monaco then, but I would love to see another city track for a race...we used Tokyo for a preseason race this season, but something like Rome or SS5 would be fun I think...I mean they are a little wider, which is what everyone always complains about with Monaco
 
I'd keep La Sarthe 09 and Monza, just enforce harsher penalties for track cutting and hit people who backchat with a one race ban. Might seem like a hard stance but it'd eventually create discipline...
 
I dont thin anyone wants to watch hours upon hours of replays to watch for corner cutting.

I think switch to Sarthe 05, No monza, Bring back laguna seca! If this past ALMS race is anything to go by.
