Have to agree with twinturbo on this one the top dogs shouldn't have to wait for another tournament I wouldn't lose interest it would just give me more ambition to beat them I also think these are the guys who will stick around and help the community not noobs that are interested in drifting for a short while and go back to playing cod when they are bored of playing gt5
 
The tournament is open to everyone. However as it stands i have 34 entrants (i'm assuming their will be a couple pull outs) and i don't think their is enough people interested in GT drifting to fill the next (64) bracket. I do agree with drifta though. This tournament really does show drifters for what they are.

If i were you i would get some good practice in, join a team, get noticed in that team & come back with a good reputation.
 
I am severely sorry to Cervatoz & FRAG-ME-CG, missing your round was flat out unprofessional and wrong of me to do. As i waited for your battle to start, i fell asleep and when i woke up it was 9 am (3 hours after your battle).

I'm very sorry guys, i really wanted to see you to battle. I bet it was a great matchup & i'm sad to not only have missed it, but let you two down in the process.

Dino did not make the me vs Cervatoz battle tonignt, so it will have to be done next monday with a judge that will definately make it.

I'm really sorry i didn't make the battle but the timezone's really throw me off. The problem bieng that just when i thought i had a great time for your battle mapped out, it worked out to 11am where i live. And when i get a good time for you mapped out, you would be either sleeping, working or your opponent would be.

Again i'm very sorry, this makes me look like a total fool but organisation is not one of my strong points and neither is waking up at 5.00am. From now on i will have a judge & backup judge for every battle so this never happens again

Lol... the corkscrew is one of my favourite's and watching people get it oh so wrong really confuses me. That corner comes natural with my lexus...

You should keep the winners from tourney 1 out of tourney 2... Make tournament 2 only available to people who were NOT in tourney 1.

Seeing as how much of a response you have been getting from the community. It would be better to have the top 3 people from tournament 1 battle the top 3 people from tournament 2 in some kind of championship or something. Then rinse and repeat.

This is just a quick thought that I put out there - obviously you will want to add your own spin to it. But think about this - eventually it will be just the same people in the tourney's over and over and then the tourney will die. By keeping fresh faces cycling through - it will help keep the tourney fresh...

It's a cool idea, especially the top 3 face off idea. But i think turning people away could sour people from the tournament

Ok fair enough that's a good argument!. I'm not worried 1 bit about not getting the cut because of my skill I just feel there may be a slight bit of favouritism when it comes to sepereate runs (not slagging any judges at all). obviously you would want you're own team through as much as possible!

An idea i do have if the seperate runs were to go ahed is... a judge from each of the main participating teams? would even it up and each judge allocated particular Drivers (Excluding there own team) would make it fair i reckon?

THough it is ideal, it is extremely hard to implement. I am having real trouble getting judges (even though their's a 1 million dollar car up for any judge)

Sorry but if i change to any where within those times it lands me at 12.30-5.30am. I am very reluctant to promise anything regarding those times, as i have slept through two of the battles i was meant to be judging due to this.

Wicked drifting afterward. I would like to do it again with all the same people this time next week. (but i think our respective teams might get a bit confused as to why we are drifting together and not with them)

As for the battle, it was easily the best bit of drifting i have seen on GT5 thus far. I hope the next few battles turn out in a similar way.

;) part of history? might be a slight underexageration ;) Thanks the GT By Citroen is a great cam car, its quick, handles, brakes but its a bit loud. Might need to pony up for a concept electric one :(

I just saw the movie. Yep, Kaizer just stuck it to the door of Keisu in run 2 and held it there, no touching and amazing abilities to keep it there, just there...
Keisu had a pretty hard hit against Kaizer in the second corner of the first run, and always kept a bit more distance.

Ah well, personal taste eh. :)

Look I'll try my best but can't promise I'll make it. Last time I did that I ended up looking a fool. If you really must go at 9pm GMT il try my best to get their. If I'm not online by 845 I probably won't be on

Yea but on round 1 kaizar slipped 3 wheels off on corner 1. It was an epic bate anyway and they were both happy with the judges call

Nah if there cool with the result then that's all that matters.
 
regarding my battle at 4pm my time....i did not notice i actually have a battle today

i am actually at work right now and i can get on the earliest of 5:15pm......or it has to be tommorow.

i know this is very unreasonable of me but there is nothing i can do about work. hopefully this is not too much of a hassle thanks

EDIT: i just managed to switch my work shift to close an hour early with a co-worker, so lets keep it as the appointed schedule.
