Diecastsociety didn't have news on this, but Boost Gear has this upcoming Ignition covered:

That site have missed quite a lot of news, really. lol Amiami is my main news source.

Amiami seems to get news so early you can never find any pics of the items they're putting up for preorders. That's what kills me the most about them and Ignitions.

That's true. The 2017 R35 I got from them is still without any pics on their site.

1936 Lancia Astura Tipo 233 Corto Cabriolet by Pinin Farina. 1/43 Minichamps First Class Collection. 300 pcs

1934 Voisin C27 Aerosport Coupe. 1/43 Minichamps Mullin Automotive Museum Collection. 300 pcs I think?

I've started a small 1/43 scale collection. These are my two latest purchases.

I prefer the Ignition Model version. For some reasons you won't find any badges on both the Akuma no Z and blackbird. Licensing issues?

Most likely because it has no badging in the anime/manga. There are also different versions of this Z, depending on if it is anime, live action movie, or manga. Strangely enough, I have never watched the anime, but from pics I have seen, the AA one represents the anime version.
And while the Ignition Z looks very nice, it still doesn't open and lacks headlight covers :P

I might get some good pics of this model, along with the Lola Aston Martin and GT350R soon.

If you can get similar angles, we can get a tight comparison set going, and I'd like to later share that on my blog and DX.

So fingers crossed that would be okay with you.

Yeah, I will try when I have a chance. Maybe tomorrow or the day after if I don't get distracted by other things.

Thanks for the explanation Venom. My only wangan experiences were one of the wangan arcade game and the PS3 game made by genki, I basically know nothing about the series.

Yeah, anime didn't have the badging - typical of shows, Initial D had the car feature as a Toreno or something similar in the first season, or just nothing at all. It's all about copyright.

Nor the manga.

The AUTOart Initial D models do have the badges just like the real life cars though. That's why I found the AA releases of the wangan cars look weird without any badging.

I'm pretty sure the Initial D AA releases were based off the manga cars, which had correct badging.

I pulled the trigger on two more today. One is a 1:43 Minichamps 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2900 Corsa Spider in red, the other is a 1:43 Matrix 1967 Alvis 3-Litre Super Graber Coupe in blue metallic. I can find the Alfa in white, blue or black for around $80, but the red version is going for between $300 and $450 on eBay. I managed to find a red one for $80. It's new and shipping from Russia. Going to take a couple months to get here. I'm hoping for the best. I've been looking at this particular Alvis for a while now. All my Christmas/New Years overtime pay was on this check, so I figured I could finally go for it. It's about $85 and shipping from the Netherlands. Should be here in a couple weeks.

Piiiiiic duuuuuuuump! :dopey:

Did you steer your Lola Aston Martin's front wheels with the steering wheel? I'm asking this, because I own the 009 version, and the flocking flaked off the steering wheel when I was trying to steer the wheels with it, so I just wanted to know if other cars are also susceptible to the flaking off.
Also, did the doors open to the same extent on your car? Again, the doors are asymmetrical on mine. One of them won't even close completely, leaving a gap.
Nice models BTW. 👍

I just turned the wheels themselves, rather than use the steering wheel. Some of the flocking rubbed off of my 787B's steering wheel though. I tend to not touch the wheels on cars that have flocked wheels after that lol. And as far as the doors go, mine sit flush when closed, but one door does indeed open a little more than the other. Also the engine cover doesn't sit as flush as I'd like, as it has a gap a bit bigger than what it should. Might see if I can fix it, but it isn't super noticeable.

Anyway thanks :)

Yeah, it's the same with my car, with one more thing being one of the doors unable to close completely. Thanks for the reply and clearing up my suspicion.

Merry Christmas!

If I'm not mistaken, there are a few around with manual gearbox. Very limited, probably only on request. But they exist!

My dad really spoiled me this Christmas, almost cried of joy  The Porsche will probably take a while to finish but I'll share the planes asap :)

Excuse me @Carlos, would you be able to show some pics of the aircraft?
