 Please don't get me banned, I've worked to hard to find a place in this community!

Wow that was close. Sitting in my front room and I was reading this thread. Looked up and the advert for "now that's what I call Christmas" was on. Luckily I had my skull candies round my neck so I threw them over my ears.

Something similar happened to me today. My sister insisted on playing it on YouTube.

I left the room, got my headphones.

No Wham! for me. Win. :D
Lucky you

Would've loved to have a pair of headphones with me, really.

Legged it down the escalator yesterday in WHSmith, as the help desk suddenly started playing it on a Tablet demonstration. Still surviving.

I'm out! Double Whammied within an hour today! First one was by Mrs AT in the car via her iPad - Folks, she was laughing as she did it. Brutal. The second was on the way back on the radio. The announcer said the next track was a Christmas classic from 1984, so I knew exactly what was coming on but I was already out. :indiff:

I went wine, vodka and whiskey tasting yesterday. Everywhere was playing Christmas music, but no Wham.

*Pumps fist*

Mr Lucky here. Last Christmas entered the UK Singles chart at 34 this week. I started listening as 33 was played out. Phew,

I deliberatly didn't listen today after my drama of depserately sprinting into the living room to turn it down before they played it last week. Although that time, I avoided Mariah Carey and not Wham!... still the same kind of ear-torture. :sly:

Another week with no Christmas music. I'm going to do some Wham! Roulette to even things out. Wish me luck.

Survived it. Suicide would be Wham! radio...

Oh? So are you a Drinking Enthusiast? :sly:

Surviving for 24 days...and counting. Am I going to win this thing out of pure boredom? :nervous:

I think we've all been attacked with Wham, so out of curiosity, how many attacks have you had, doesn't matter whether they are failed attacks, or successful Whams, how many?

I've had plenty of attacks via the well known GT-R Renault Alpine, but I dodged that. :sly: And then I've had another 3 attacks, all from one person... First, Daniel chucked a link on facebook blatantly, which failed, and then via Skype came extremely close when he put a link up and I clicked it (it doesn't even tell you where it is really going) but closed the tab before it started. And then, I decided to play GT5 today, taking photo's and stuff, and again Daniel makes an attempt, asking me to do a GT5 race. But I remembered him telling me his past mic Wham attempts, so I ratted him out. :sly: That's four attacks (all failures), and I think more are to come over the next few days. :P Now I think I will probably get hit eventually, but only time will tell.

I was walking past a supermarket on my travels today and heard it. What I can't tell is what version it was as for the brief time I was passing and heard it there was no singing just instrumental.

I'm 100% unsure about my position now and I felt I needed to post here because without honesty the game doesn't work. So I'm leaving it up to Daniel to decide if I'm out or not.

If it's instrumental then it's not the original song, just an edited version of it 👍.

So you're safe (for now :sly:).

Lucky

Back to work and in perrial of Christmas holding music.

I have some news!

If you suffered GT-R's Renault Alpine. Count yourself back in! After listening to the URL in the first post and the song that's in his video, I've realised that they're two different songs. GT-R's song is actually a cover!

However, if you've listened to both the Renault Alpine video and the original song elsewhere, then you're still Whammed!

Would still only work if the sound is on and not mobile browsing if Jordan set the song to play when the forum opens. :sly:

I'm calling it early, but I think I'm safe. :D
Got the last of the Christmas shopping in a public place out of the way yesterday.

It simply won't be heard at work and I don't listen to any radio stations in the car that would play it.

I'm home free I tell's ya.

Cheers Shaun.

That's what I thought until my wife thought it would be 'hilarious' to play it in the car. They even did a cover of it on the X Factor final last night. Three in one day for me!

Sounds like a nasty piece of work to me. ;)

Just realised I have one likely last hurdle on Christmas eve at my sisters place. She is the type to play it.
I do have a plan though, I'm going to play the sick old type and stuff my ears with cotton wool. :dopey:

Cheers Shaun.
