Whammed! yet again today. This time playing snooker. I was just lining up the pink and then on the radio came the unmistakeable sound of George Michael. At least I still managed to pocket the pink.

Maybe the pink ball switched the radio to play Wham! in an act of self defense? :P

Went to the mall, saw this:

They're everywhere

This Christmas I went shopping late
But getting Whammed was not my fate

Yes, I went Christmas shopping today. But no Wham. I brought headphones but I eventually took them off because I don't know. No Wham. This is getting boring. At least I can enjoy the drama of this thread. Or whatever you call it.

Oh the weather outside is Wham!-ful
But no radio is so delightful...
But there's no place to go...
Let it Wham!, Let it Wham!,

LET IT 🤬 -ING WHAM!

I miss Christmas music. All I've heard today was Vanessa Williams and Pavarotti at the restaurant.

Did finally get Whammed yesterday, the first time I've heard the original since September. :D

We really should add another song to next year's contest to make it harder. Mariah's "All I want for Christmas..." :D

T'was the night before Christmas, and all was calm, not a Wham attempt in sight, but that'll change very, very soon for one GTPlanteer, @Ken Koios? Nah, he has his coming later, but who is it that is going to be Whammed?

Once I was reading your post, the original "All I Want For Christmas is You" was playing in the background. :scared:

I think having "All I Want for Christmas" as the have-to-avoid dong would be harder as it is everywhere. Last Christmas, as much as it hurts everyone's ears, just isn't much of a challenge.

Yeah, but then you can't say you've been Whammed.

Speaking of, I went grocery shopping last night. Christmas music was playing, as it is everywhere. As I listened, I realized that being Whammed is somewhat liberating; you can go about your business without the worry that George Michael's voice will wither its way into your eardrums. Small consolation, but I'll take what I can get.

I'm actually glad I got Whammed last week. My sister's been streaming Christmas music all morning and to be Whammed for the first time on the Eve would have been a cruel way to bow out.

I found it amusing the first song that played when I got to work on Monday was this very song.

But anyway, today's the final day. Another 5.5 hours of repeated labour, anticipated shoppers too disorganized to have already finished buying everything they needed days before, I'm looking forward to a relatively slow shift today. :)

As for the whammers, I don't even care anymore. Not like I'll reach 20 whams or anything remarkable.
