Nep what are you on about?? Chill out and read a little, please!!

Ballast will be dropped after missed races, whether it's a dropped round, a disconnection or whatever. That was agreed a long time ago and was in the ballast specs announced yesterday. We were only discussing it this morning because Eddie raised a question about it saying that it could be exploited but there doesn't appear to be any advantage to doing that so no drama!

What happened with your father last night after? All that fuss yesterday and he was nowhere to be seen last night ;-)

Or did the maintenance happen at your end as announced? It didn't seem to affect anyone in Europe in the end

You are the one who needs to chill out, geez! I already read that part, forgot to read it. Calm down. 👍 There was maintenance yesterday, nobody could sign in. He'll qualify today.

Cheers Paul and Twisted, wasn't sure what that was all about :) thought I wasn't gonna get to race, was preparing to kick off big time! :D looking forward to getting on the track. have worn in my car properly now (turns out it wasnt properly worn in...) and been playing with set-ups so i should be a good half second faster per lap plus a bit more for race-pace :)

I signed on at 11pm gmt. 2 drivers from the USA signed in to qualify around midnight.

I just sent my setup that got my quali time Doc, hope it can help you beat the other guys in your race :).

Me too I just need to get my season off to a good start :tup

The loophole is when you apply and exeectue a good strategy taking advantage of the ballast penalty system as is.

In your example, you have applied some of the bonus points and done it where the one finishing first also got more bonus points in that race. But if you apply my strategy you will aim for the following.
I did not apply a single bonus point to my example, check again. Use the single race points system for ease of use.

My apologies for not getting my Quali done for the season opener. We got family visiting from out of state next week so we've been in hyperactive cleaning mode making the house look fancy.

Please place me on the NTSC GT300 waiting list! Thank you.

EDIT: Scratch that, gonna hop on to do a quick quali it seems.

If youd of asked or checked NTSC 2 id of qualifed you nevermind... (I still could if you want to jump in Pal 1 since its empty)

Well, I haven't had any real chance at touching the track but I suppose I could drop in. I'll be on in a few minutes, need to run wires to the ps3.

EDIT: Connection problems kept the quali from happening. I'll go on the waiting list.

NTSC Race 1 was interesting... For me, NOT! hit in formation on Feature, then punted in Sprint... I loose composure so easliy after incidents like that. BUT, at least I finished... LOL... I can just imagine the corkscrew next weekend... ugh...

I'm sure Litchi, CSL and all the people running the series will sort these serious issues out. If they remain, then I'm afraid some drastic decisions may occur.

Yup Im sure all will be good. Tell your pops congrats, Well done.

So what are the Ballast penalties as the table stands now?
Want to get out on track :)

I'm not sure if Litchi has completely update the final standings yet, but starting practice with 30KG's on your car is what I would recommend.
Official ballast for race 2 will be posted soon enough.👍

I cant wait to drive around Laguna seca hopefully the car will be abit faster around there.

Probably a bit early, but anyone with GT300 times yet? I sorted a bit of a setup there a couple of nights ago and it seems ok! Maybe someone can help though - the only issue with my setup is that mid-corner it feels like the car is "pushing", resulting in a loss of forward momentum - I can't think of a proper way to describe it. The car is not scrubbing off speed through the chassis or tyres, more that perhaps the drivetrain is under too much stress to be able to release off the corner properly. Eurgh, maybe someone understands what I mean. It is especially noticeable through the fast left just before the Corkscrew, and the banked left just before that too.

Edit: Or maybe it is something like too much rear grip at that point? Only thing I can think of; I don't really want to mess with the Drivetrain too much.

That's what I was thinking. Except they are extremely low, rather than high. I think it might just be that the front roll bars need to be stronger than the rear, or vice versa. At the moment I have them at the same level and maybe that is the issue.

Mid-corner as in, when you first get on the throttle to come out?

I will the new pp figures for the gt300's tonight 👍

No, mid corner where the throttle is already full on. The car will be stable half way through the corner (full throttle), and then begin to feel tighter at the rear, and so the rear of the car feels like it's under too much stress. It isn't really a problem, but it will be a problem when tyre wear starts to get worse part way through the race.

Edit: Nevermind, fixed it. Anti Roll bars didn't sort it, made very little difference for this issue. It was actually the Spring Rates on the rear, needed to be much stronger. That way the rear could handle the force through the corner, I guess.
