Seeing as people are inquiring about DS3 times, I'll share mine. When I last practiced I was hitting low 1'27's at Laguna, and low 2'00's at Suzuka, really dislike that Supra :grumpy: If I put some WRS time into it I should be able to make 1'26's and 1'58's.

Hasn't been decided yet, although I think we should try tracks that are not in the actual schedule for a bit of fun and novelty, and so that no one has more race experience than other participants just like real Super GT, plus it'd be nice to keep the schedule tracks untouched bar practice until the Season arrives.

But that's just me :P

Incase you missed this Masi :)

We'll see about it Biff 👍

For the most part, i'm leaning over wide, forgiving tracks like Spa or Fuji. Like i've said long before (and the reason why we have fuji as round 1 the past 2 seasons), there's lots of room for error specially with the wide concrete runoffs. Should serve the newbies well.

...or we can just decide through a poll. :)

Spa for me. I've been waiting what seems like an age to race this track. Now the qualli's have been suspended I get back to testing tonight. 👍

How do people with DS3'S do 1.26s? I heard about it being down to brake balence, but which way do i put it? Forward towards the rear or toward the front brakes

Lynch, I use ds3 running 1:28.12 but use manual, got used to it, getting wheel on christmas (dfgt) lol cant wait !
Steering sens.?

NOTICE

Hey guys, i'm gonna bring this out publicly so i can get as much feedback as i can before i make my decision.

Subject: Scaling back the Qualifier

It is still early, but at the current pace we are going right now, we're in for a very hectic late December where people would try to get their times in by the bunch.

Figures:
300+ Signees = 30 Stewards

Realistically (low) expectations:
150-175 = 10-15 Stewards Active
About 10-15 drivers per Steward

1. Cut the qualifier to one track (either one of them). This should lessen the workload at all fronts. People who have submitted already will have the option to run again or keep their times.

2. Stick with the system and see how it goes until after a week or so.

One thing that's for sure is the implementation of mass qualifiers. Stewards will have dedicated timeslots (number of rooms TBD) to serve multiple signees at a time. Mandatory roll-calls will be made for each room, and if a driver does not show without prior notice to the Stewards (you have to atleast post in the thread to let us know, its not too much to ask), banishment will be in order.

We will keep the concept of multiple laps as the goal from the very beginning is to let the consistent 'drivers' shine from the rest - not just the 1-lap wonders (hot lappers).

Comments?

I plan to do both mine during this week, but if there was only 1 qualifier it means I could focus my efforts on that. Just thought I'd let you know I don't plan to wait until the last minute but I want to make sure I'm ready 1st and I should have plenty of time to practice over the next few days.

I think you should scrap the Suzuka one, the Laguna one is awesome.

Edit: should give DS3 drivers more chance to get a decent qualifier in because
Of the 4WD

That's more like it. I like.

And as for stewards, When I have a chance, I'll make a schedule for when I'll have a room up during the course of the week. This should let people know ahead of time so they'll be ready once they get in, instead of trying to find a steward.

Right.

I'm still debating what the best day/time is for the Mass Qualifiers. Maybe a day before and after Preseason Races? Mid-week?

If I can share my opinion Masi, I think its a must that you cut the qualifier too only 1 track. With so many people its really time consuming for you and stewards.

Track imo should be Suzuka with a GT500 car. Only right qualifier combo for this event. Maybe Calsonic GTR from recommended garage would be even better as people are more used to it, but Supra is still ok.

Btw, If I get enough practice in i will do my Q tomorow.

I agree with Nissman. The car should definitely be a gt500 car and... well... I like Suzuka :).

That is all.

I'll come in and disagree then :P

The car ought to be something inbetween GT300 and GT500. Since we are not qualifying for a GT500-specific competition, it doesn't make sense to do qualifying in a GT500 car, if you're competing in GT300 for example.

I hate Suzuka, would prefer it to be something different (Laguna Seca, Spa, Nurburgring GP/F, even Indy Road or Daytona Road would suffice), but that's just personal preference.

Did some practice, hitting low 59's.

58's will be extremly hard to hit, alien territory.

Well then maybe drivers signed up for GT500, should do the qualifier with GT500 car and GT300 drivers with another car.

Not much of an argument, this is only your personal opinions about tracks.

Suzuka is the meka of GT500 racing, Fuji also, so it should be done here and nowhere else.

This! Both at Suzuka.

I think I have a solution:

GT500 drivers do their quali with the Castro Supra on Suzuka, no worry for that.
So, I think GT300 drivers could do their quali with a GT300 premium. For that, the steward should set the room to "vehicle Tuning --> Prohibited". When a room is set like that, the personal cars cannot be tuned. So it's stricly the same than a recommanded car...

And sorry for my so wrong english but remember guys....I'm french 👍

I'm in GT300 and reading the above I'm not really sure what I should be practicing now ....

Litchi this would mean we would have to buy the car and break it in (200miles) ?

Great idea. Everyone use the ammemiya 06 with tuning prohibited and horsepower limited to 300bhp. At either Suzuka, spa or nurburgring gp/f. The More I think about it, the more it makes sense .

One thing Twisted on "Tuning Prohibited" you cant power limit it.. It would have to be stock but run in as has been said before.

I never thought of that. Maybe no hp limit then. Stock is 337 for the ammemiya. It makes sense for the gt300 drivers to quallify in a gt300 car. It would have to be premium so that everyone can buy 1. The ammemiya is also a good car with stock set up.
