Ok, just sent a mass message to all that signed up.

About 50 of the 300+ GTPlanet usernames does not exist, have full inboxes, or chosen not to accept messages.

Gonna start looking for a steward tomorrow, see if I can make the cut... >.> Great luck guys... =]

Hey guys, how about a qualifier session for all the current drivers signed up for the preseason races? An hour (or half an hour) before the connect time?

Hey guys i just want to reiterate that by Qualifier i meant 'THE' Qualifier - meaning the Nismo 380rs Super Leggera at Suzuka Circuit, not for the preseason.

I sIgned up about a week ago and I have forgotten which class I chose to race in,
Is there a way I could find out?
Thank you.

Same as this person, but what I forgot is i choose NTSC or PAL. Since I choose it randomly (I'm from Indonesia so it doesnt matter for me to choose NTSC or PAL)

Click the link on my sig that says 'WSGTC v3.0 - Current Sign-up List'

Thx masi.

Oh ya I'm sorry, i made double entries, because at the 1st entry i forgot to make GTP Account.
Please delete one of my entry (I entry with same detail, Andika Rama Maulan from Indonesia). Thx a lot masi

@ ramstig - No problem 👍

@ NEPALII - this is the qualy procedure:

Pre-Race Qualifying
  • Since we're not doing the weekly qualifying, we'll do a pre-race one instead.
  • After pre-race PP Checks are done, the track will be reset.

  • Goodluck and Have Fun!

This is the same procedure used in Aderrrm's GT4 Series with the idea of 'Driving back into the pits' and staying there till the race starts.

Just wanted to know if you are thinking of carrying that qualifying format over to Season 3. :D

Ahh, no! Just for the preseason! Live-knockout Qualifying all the way :D

Once the Qualifier is over, we will have a Preseason race where we will implement last season's Qualy Procedure :)

Alright :)👍

Btw, i edited my post inside the Qualifier Thread. Check it out.

p.s. I love these hats! :D:):sly::dopey:💡:scared::cool:

Sorry masi, but I still confused about qualyfy system.

I've read the 1st post but I still dont.understand.

And what about prerace season?

Sorey if I ask too much. Hope you respond my question. Thx a lot

ooo, and about the GT500cars. Should my car setting (for example: Raybrig NSX) follow the rules on the post above that? (610pp 540hp 1100kg)?

Thx again

Regular Season
In the Regular Season we will do a Live Qualifying System. Stewards will open a room during the week leading up to the actual race where drivers will drop by and record lap times. Drivers are given 4 laps - 1 outlap, 2 flying laps, and 1 cooldown lap. The best flying lap is taken as your qualifying time - 1 Lap! The schedule is like so:

Sunday to Thursday (Qualifying Days)
Friday and Saturday (Race days for PAL and NTSC respectively)

Preseason Round 1 and Round 2
In Preseason races, we will just do a 15- minute pre-race qualifying session conducted in free-run.

And yes, you must follow the Spec sheet. That is the regulations everyone must follow.

I dont know if you know this, but free run qualifying doesnt always work well, because the game sometimes ends up placing the drivers in the wrong grid spots. We, at FMSC, found a solution to this, we think, as it has worked so far(its only been tested at one race and it worked). It takes a while, but seems to work flawless. The other methods work as well, but they are more prone to mistakes made by the game. Just thought it would be good to share this.

Thanks to report this GT5 glitch.

So, I have faced this problem some times and I found a solution that works very well:
When the quali begins, one driver shouldn't go to quali himself but go to "watch mode"-->"Live Timing". He waits for the 1st driver done his 1st outlap and then, his 1st split. If the 1st split works, that's ok, he can quit de watch mode and begins his quali. If not, report to the host and then, the host have to reset the track.
Then, quali restart and one driver repeat process.

Personaly, i usually don't need more than 10mn to quali myself. So I can lost some quali minutes and do this job..... ;)👍

That process is good, however, it'll take more time - maybe 45+ minutes if theres a full grid. So we will keep the current free-run mode like Aderrrm did in his series where drivers drive back to the pits instead of pressing pause and exit.

Surely not man. When the live timing doesn't work, just reset the track only one time and usually, all will be fine. The guy in "watch mode" have to check only the 1st driver, not the others. For Suzuka it takes about 3mn --> 1st outlap (2mn) and 1st split (50sec)

So we will keep the current free-run mode like Aderrrm did in his series where drivers drive back to the pits instead of pressing pause and exit.

Are you sure this is the best way? I'm not. In fact, going to pits instead of pressing pause and exit doesn't stop the live timing glitch. The live timing glitch doesn't start when a guy go to pits whith "pause, exit", but it start when the quali starts so...The only way to stop this ***** glitch is to reset the track. Trust me.

I'm sure that process is better Litch, but it'll take too much time as i mentioned.

Here is what i understand what your saying, one spectates and one runs? After that driver finishes his run, you release another driver and let him run?

So 1 outlap = 2 minutes
2 flying laps = 4 minutes
Total = 6 minutes

16 cars x 6 minutes = 1 hour and 36 minutes

Since it's only the preseason, we will keep with the free-run method. Remember, i don't intend to use it in the regular season, just these two preseason races.

Everyone joins the track and starts to quallify. 1 driver clicks on watch race and then live timing. As soon as the first driver completes sector 1 on first flying lap, you will know if the room is ok. If the sector time shows up in live timing then the watching driver can join the track with everyone else and quallify. If the sector time doesn't display, it means the room is messed up. So reset the track and start again. In my experience I have never had to reset the track more than once. It is the simplest way to ensure correct grid positions in my opinion.
