Internet wasn't connecting me so I missed out. I'll have to try for the next pre-race.
Also does anyone have the regs for all the GT500 cars.

From the Pre Season Race post:

PAL Conference
December 9 | Friday 15.00 EST | 20.00 GMT
Room Open

Don't care what time the season's races start, the pre season race clearly says room open at 8! Not race start, room open, so why don't we stick to it?!
He's right he's right.

Same here it was appalling bad connections tonight

Sorry if my leaving the race early caused any random lag. Just didn't feel like spending an afternoon in last place.
How exactly are the people in the back supposed to know when the race started? On the formation lap, the room was going to 36 to 100 mph. I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I thought we were all supposed to go 52 mph or 80km.
And also, what happened to no warming up your tires? One guy was doing it blatantly while others were doing it more subtly.
It was single file almost all the way around the track until at the start where I saw some cars pull alongside other cars, and then everyone took off. I thought they were going to go double-file, then take off.
Why do we have a weight and horsepower regulation when only PP is checked? I guess it's on the honor system.
Hope you all have fun with the series, but I really don't have the time. And, to be perfectly honest, I normally race GT300, but I wanted to try GT500, and everyone's just out of my league (59s laps with people running 57s).
Can I be removed from the list of racers?
Thanks.

Woooooow
What a Awesome Race ! Really Awesome

Mr Kaz , biiiiiiip xxxxxx

I couldnt even start the race because of "black screen" ! You know the problem while loading to the race ! I think paulmarc had the same problem

Of course no restart . Good luck guys (especially josh,my team member )

Everything was for NOTHING , this really motivates me

ps: carracer: you are right guy .
But why checking weight ? In our Lobby Litchi has checked everything (good work) but he doesnt need to check weight . PP is enough because you CANT reduce the weight of these cars (iam talking about gt300 , i hope its the same with 500)

I thought some cars had weight added to keep them close.

Can not seem to tame the Denso, retired from the 25th lap after loosing control of the car several times. The tyres didn't last long either.. So a really bad race for me. :grumpy:

On the other hand I really just need to practice much much more.. :dunce:

Actually give up on the Cusco. Lap 8 and I have no tyres left. Decided to Retire in the pits with Scanny.

On the other hand, all the new guys in the GT300 PAL room seem really legit. Really looking forward for the season to start. 👍

Gongratz to Apollo for the win. Never seen you race so hard 👍

Worst race ever for me, didn't get any practice in just few laps before start and I dont remember when I did so many mistakes, was in the gravel 6-7 times lol, just wasn't feelin it today.
A shame that everyone didnt show up, just 9 drivers.
Race was acually quite fun, even thought it was my worst, had a great fight for 3rd on worn tyres with Nepalli. How we didnt even touch in the last lap is beyond me. 👍

If anyone has any complaints about today's race PM me. It was a little complicated doing the PP/HP check as some people complained they didnt have their GTRs broken in, so I didnt do HP check only PP. Make sure you have your car up to the regulations on the full season.

Speaking of the race, that was just great!! Great battles with Niss, Apollo and Immortal. You guys are quick and will have to be watched. :D. Congrats to Apollo for taking pole position and winning the race. I hope you stick with the Petronas Lexus, so we could be teammates :). If there are any incidents you would like to report or even express your opinion about my hosting, feel free to PM me. Just dont be so harsh .

I'll post the results after reviewing incidents(if any).

That was a crazy last lap! Added some fun to a disappointing race to you and me as well. We spun like 3 times . We could have kept up with Immortal and Apollo if it wasnt for the dumb mistakes we did.

I cut a bit the right turn after all those 3-4 turns after the start line
22th lap
Only that by me, nothing more

Thanks all .
I think I did a 56.6 immortal.
Also did a 1 stopper which was wrong and it cost me really bad in the last 5 laps. I've never raced the Lexus before today it's quite a good car :)
Cheers

Nice to do a long race again... Hadn't done that since early 2010... It was a great race to be in and I had fun but I'm not completely satisfied with myself...

Mainly because of the setup... You see, I like to drive the NSX because it's underpowered, except compared to the Lexus, but handles so good you can just go berserk in corner entries and manage to carry the speed... With the increased HP it was a wild beast!!! Had to come up with a totally different setup which I neither liked nor was it suitable for a long race...

Still... 6th... So it can only go up from here... I think I read somewhere that those were last season's rules and that this season's aren't finallised yet... My opinion is that we should leave it as is. The Lexus handles great and if it is slower then it will have less ballast added to it... In any case these rules destroy the NSX's beautiful character... I might do a few test laps with the GT-R too... I actually don't like tuned race cars, they feel wrong...

In the end, THX NepalII for the excellent hosting... (Only problem in the start where carracerptp stopped I think, and then I stopped... Mess...)

It felt good after all this time... THX guys...

P.S. I managed a 1:58.056 or .256, 2 laps before the race start... Was everyone faster? I was a bit surprised to start last...

Bit of a strange one for me..

Firstly the time issue (Seriously, I don't mind since I still got to race, but if I'd gone to make dinner and came back at 8pm GMT for the room to open, I'd have missed the race, that's not cool, whether it's for me or someone else - guessing it was just a mixup of timezones but the point remains!) meant qualifying was my first actual laps in the car, totally stock setup, so I knew my 3 laps resulting in P6 or P7 starting spot could be well improved upon. I used the Standard Impreza instead of the MR-S btw, the power curve on that car was doing my head in so swapped to a car which no-one else was using.

Got up to P4 in the first lap and thought it should be no problem actually to hold on to the pace and look for a decent result. Then coming through 130R, Litchi had a big spin and through the tyre smoke there was zero visibility, hit him hard. Full engine damage = Pitting on Lap 1 to repair. Except now I'm going down the pitlane, I see the damage repairing itself... I now see the "Hosts, set damage to light" post made by Masi earlier in this thread, but couldn't it have been put in the Pre-Season Race Info too? Don't really have time to follow every post in the topic, and expected that Pre-Season Race Info to be pretty concise! :(

So from there I'm pretty hot headed to be fair, and put in lap after lap of qualifying laps determined to salvage something and at least see what sort of pace the car had in it, maybe learn something. Despite having to work through traffic I'm keeping the gap of 34 seconds (more or less a pit stop) to the leader, lap after lap, so that was good. Ended up finishing 5th after doing a pit stop more than virtually everyone in the field, but it was at least good practice for pushing hard lap after lap and being consistent about it.

Well done to GTP_Nissen - great pace and very consistent. GT300 looks to be better than ever 👍

I havent received anything regarding race incidents so Im making these official. Its only preseason anyways.

I am in a dilemma if this happens again, but I have always had problems when Litchi is in the room with me (no offense intended)

I had a crazy race lol qualified 4th had a bad start got jumped of the line by hellboy cause I forgot to change gear lol. Then going into turn 1 hellboy glitched It looked like lagged or something anyway braked to avoid lost and another place to mole.

Then after litchi's crash I was driving down the home straight in forth place behind hellboy going into turn 2 the weirdest thing happened my screen went black for a few seconds and suddenly I'm in 6th with paul right in front of me.

I checked the replay it looks so crazy i'll try get a vid uploaded it's like cars just magically appear infront of me LOL. Anyway I made mistake after mistake tonight after the crazy start took me untill lap 18 to put in a good lap pretty disapointed but never really put the practice in so only got myself to blame.

I have open the room very early for the guys could make some practice laps.

The official connection time was 19.30 GMT. This time wasn't write in the Roll-Call but there was a countdown so...

Some guys were often disconnected while the pp/weight checks, especially guys from UK.
Falcon never managed to stay in the room :(.

All the guys were in the right car specs (turbo - engine upgrade), all fine 👍 .

pp/weight checks was fine imo. It just take more time a little bit because of the disconnected guys.

Well, Start. Veeeery long black screen. Yeah, the race start. Not for kiyak, too long black screen, he has been disconnected.

Formation Lap. All fine! U're great guys. Just Mole who didn't respect his rolling-start place... You should have to be on the right mate, not on the left. But no worry, I'm sure that all will be fine for the next race 👍

Lap 1: I had a big crash at the 130 R and boum, crash with Mole. As Masi said, damages were set to "light" but Mole didn't know that and he gone to the pits :( .

Lap 13: Scanny go to the pits and stops his race.

Lap 16 (an so many times in the race): hellboy lags a looooooooot, this is awful. So, he put off Cicua at the Hairpin with an awful ***** big lag :( .

Lap 18: Joshua go to the pits and stops his race.

Lap 22: WattK go to the pits and stops his race.

Lap 27: Scanny disconnected.

PS: really sorry for my soooooo wrong english. Hope you understand me ;)👍

Oops, didn't realise we were swapping over positions on the formation lap, I just stayed in grid position as we lined up - it's easier/more organised when we race in season anyway, since the quali is determined long before the race begins, we all know exactly where we are meant to be - wasn't sure this time if we were meant to be moving (swapping sides) or staying put, nevermind!

As you say though, was some immense lag from Hellboy, not sure why - everyone else seemed ok, apart from a random bit of lag with Me/Paul later on too. Had some big trouble staying in the room initially, but seemed ok after a full Router and PS3 reboot - but don't usually have that problem. You said you were NAT3 type connection Litchi? I think that might be an issue in future, the cars didn't seem to be that predictable today.

Ooops sorry if i said that, my bad. My brain is oooooover lol. I'm NAT 2 and my bandwidth is very often High, Normal sometimes.

Hey guys, finally got my results from my first final - 89% Win!

I'm pretty spent... 36 hours non-stop :scared: I'm gonna catch some sleep first - then look back at what's happened the last few pages here.

Just one note! If the winners drove clean without any incidents, then the results are final 👍 congrats to them! Although it would be good to note any odd behaviors throughout the race(s). Any Yuji Ides in the bunch?

Be right back in a few hours.
