which speed do you think right??

Thats my point. Practice.
Still need to try it a few times.
Worst case scenario my car ended up one time stuck at this pit entry and that was race over. It won't move. So be carefull gents.

I'm not able to host this weeks race.
So if Wardez (he will to 100% race in D1 no matter what) can host D1, it would be perfect.

Still not decided if we are going same or mixed class this week. The number of entrants will decide. 4 cars / class is a minimum to run a second division as planned. Less than that in any class, we'll go with a same class race.

At the moment, we got 10 GT500's and 9 GT300's on the grid.
So we need 2 more GT300's and 1 GT500's to either enter the waiting list or set a quali time before 19.00 PM (GMT) if we are going to stick with the mixed class format this week.

And since deadline is only 30 minutes prior connect time, it's really important for ALL to stay tuned in the thread for information regarding the race.

If we will run 2 divisions: OwensRacing, can you host D2?
If we will run 2 same class races (Less than 4 car / class in D2), Aderrrm, can you host the GT300 race if so?

@Wardez: Ballast, weight and pp: GT500:
(Only cars that are not in on it's stock weight)
Remy_K: 599 pp / 1240 kg
chorda: 602 pp / 1200 kg
C-Falcon89: 605 pp / 1160 kg
RedReevos: 607 pp / 1140 kg
Wardez: 609 pp / 1140 kg
Paginas: 611 pp / 1120 kg
NEPALII: 611 pp / 1120 kg

GT300 (Only cars that are not on it's stock weight)

KamyKaze1098 @ 1210 Kg - 547 pp
Litchi_GTPlay @ 1205 Kg - 535 pp

Thank you!
We need to get this sorted as soon as possible. The time from deadline to CT / GF is short, and anything to help the stewards would be greatly appritiated. 👍

I'M OFF NOW AND WILL NOT MONITOR THE THREAD UNTIL 19.45 PM (GMT) AT THE EARLIEST.
Wardez, I'll arrive late to the D1/GT500 room (If I'm still in D1 when I come back). So if I'm relegated to D2 by any chance, I'll be late to OwensRacings room. Just to let you know.

Ok, I'll update this post in a minute, but here's the PP numbers for the GT300s: (lol, you forget that I have all of them broken in as well 👍)

Oops, I just checked and the DF was down by a few clicks. Must've forgot to change it when switching over from Ad's '03.

Well.. I might be able to make today's race. Still not completely sure. Sorry for lack of final decision.

On a separate note.. Man, it is hard to get the NSX around this track. As good as the car has been in the last few weeks, it is just horrible here. But that isn't effecting my decision. If I can make it, I definitely will.

Awesome Red! Would love to have you. You're looking to qualify right, not waiting list?

Awesome man you can definitely make quali now!

and guys, to confirm, yes there's a few guys still left to qualify so we will indeed be making this a mixed class race as planned.

sweet wardez hope we get the grids a bit more full than 5 of each in D2

Yeah it'll be good, there's a chance we might even get full. There's a lot of people waiting to quali in Kamy's room right now. Mule's also probably going to make the race.

D1 room's up

Round 8 specifics:

Here's the new incident complaint form we'll be using for this week's race. There will be a new one made each week for each round.

http://bit.ly/wsgtcreportlagunaseca

This is what you're going to do with it:

  • If you run into an accident in the race and feel wrong'd, use it to lodge your complaint. This will put all of the potential incidents into one place for all of us (stewards) to see and review.
  • Re-submit a complaint if you're reporting multiple incidents. Do not attempt to report more than one incident on the same form, simply finish your first report, then go back and re-do the whole thing.
  • The only requirement for submitting incidents is that you must be an active member of the series-You do not need to be a steward of have been involved in the incident itself in order to report anything.
  • Even if you feel like leaving the reporting to someone else, still, report it. It would be more than useful to have multiple takes on the same incidents.
  • You're not required to write a story if you don't want to, you only need point out the specific time and area the incident occurred on. This will help the stewards greatly in collecting all mishaps related to the race, review them efficiently and in a timely matter.
  • It's not necessary to PM the stewards with your complaint as long as you've first submitted a report to us through the official form. After you've lodged your complaints, breathe easy and simply wait for US to contact YOU.
  • Carefully read and understand each question before you finally submit the report. It'll prevent us having to do guess work on what you meant and further speed up the process of review.
  • Don't worry about being implicated in a penalty that you're reporting someone else for. Your submission will be treated anonymously.

Happy racing.

::::: ROUND 8 SPECIFICS :::::
Laps: 49

  • Qualification rules for week 8, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, will commence as usual. You're allowed 2 flying laps to submit your Superlap.

    Laguna-Seca-Map-575x600.jpg

  • IMPORTANT NOTE:
Always maintain at least two tires on the rumble strips going through the chicane. Two wheels on the grass is ok, never more.

[*]Green Flag: Polecar will decide where the start is (somewhere before the startline). He must make sure that ALL cars are clear of the last turn before starting.
It's totally up to the pole car, as long as ALL cars behind him are on the straight. He can not start the race if the last car is still in the middle of the last turn. Pole car has right side of track for first right turn.

[*]Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying.
Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white lines.
Knocking over any number marker plates will void the lap.

    [*]Special Mixed Class Starting Procedure:
GT300's will do one lap then pass the GT500 field again. The GT500s must make room in order for the GT300s to get by safely. Pole position driver will start to roll out the formation lap once the GT300 field is 45 seconds ahead on their second lap. The pole car must maintain the 45 second gap until the GT300 cars reach their start. The race for GT300's will start on lap 3 and lap 2 for the GT500's respectively.

[*]If you feel insecure of where the track limit is, just join a quali-session during mon-wednesday and ask a steward to do a slow lap with you.

    [*]Pit lane.
Entry: Just be careful and do not cross the white lines.

Exit: Nothing special about the exit. Just make sure to stay aware when you enter the track until you are 100% sure that you will not cause an accident.
General: When entering and exiting pits, the white lines are ment to be respected. Yes, you can cross the white line when entering and exiting the pits. But if an incident occur, the driver who crossed the white line (The one on track, or the one who comes out from the pits) will be held responsible, and a penalty will come as a result.

Hey Aderrrm, what do you think the best way to start the GT300s would be, just like usual with one lap then start behind?

What Kamy said. One lap ahead, and then 45 seconds ahead. Remember gt300s (up to mole but still), we don't have to go 55 mph on the first lap. We can go a bit faster, but just take it easy. On the lap after we have to stick to 55 mph / 90 kmh.

And I've got one of the worst hangovers........
