Race report:

I was pretty confident about my race pace before the race to finish on a podium. At the start in T1 exit me and C-Falcon touched and I lost 3-4 places due to that. After that there was some great battles between me,chorda and wardez. We were switching positions by the turns, unfortunately though, Remy and Paginas pulled away from us. Some great racing in the early laps, with a little bit of touching here and there, witch is ok for me since nothing happend to us 👍 and that's racing. On lap 3 or 4 wardez got a great run out of T12 and used the slipstream to get beside me, wardez was going to overtake me so I gave him all the space he needed to make the pass in T13, but unfortunately he went a bit to the grass and therefore slid into my car sideways. I ended up in the gravel and
dropped down to last place. I thought, well atleast my car is not damaged and I can catch them again but lost my track position. 1 lap later chorda and wardez touched in T8 exit ending up with wardez spinning, I took advantage of that situation and passed wardez and chorda, once again :D after exiting the Schumacher S curve I was suddenly behind supraphantom, I thought to myself, he's probably damaged becouse he was a bit slow. I passed him on the same lap at the last turn where he went wide. Supraphantom
then used my slipstream on the straight and was on my left side as I defended the inside lane. On the exit of T1 we touched and supraphantom spun out. I think I was 4th at that point, but far from the top. I then tried to get a rythm going but that was kinda hard. I had planned a 2-stop strategy and I was going to stick to that although my tires was all gone after 9laps, probably because of the 60kg weight ballast. I was struggling to keep
the car on the track from lap 10-14. Chorda cought up with me and we both pitted on lap 14. From there I got my rythm going and held chorda behind me with consistent lap times. But again after 9laps I was struggling, chorda cought up with me again this time on lap 27, I knew he had the same stragety as I did so I thought that he would pit in also, nope, he decided
to do 1 more lap. I knew I had to push hard now exiting the pit to maintain my 3rd position. I was quite surprised when I saw chorda coming out of the pits infront of me, I thought, what the heck just happened there. I pushed hard to catch him and I did catch him a bit in 2 laps but that was it, my times dropped suddenly and I had massive understear. On lap 37 I don't
know what I was thinking but I drove into the gravel in T8 losing +10sec ( I blame the tires :D )On the last lap exiting dunlop I saw chorda, he was going very slow. was he damaged? No tires? Fell asleep? nope, he was out of fuel. I passed him for 3rd place. Finishing 3rd was my goal here, although it could have been a smother race, I'm quite pleased with the result.

Congats to Remy for a fantastic win! 👍

Fun race without any big lag or crashes. 👍

Mole definitely had the pace at the start of his stints but damn did his tyres go off towards the end. He would be with me and I'd go round a corner, look back in my mirrors and there would be a 1-1.5 second gap. I realised this was the case on the 2nd stint so I pushed more than I did on the first stint. I broke away on the 2nd stint thanks to Remy (I think) but Mole pitted earlier. I put in some decent laps with the tyres I had but Mole had fresh rubber so he caught me back up again as I left the pits. With his bad tyre wear and already 3 lap old tyres, I knew I just had to take it home and not make any mistakes.

Great race and a near perfect interaction with GT300s and GT500s throughout the race. 👍

The only thing I'd say is that the GT300s should start as close to the GT500s as possible (10 seconds but no bigger) because a few GT300s didn't finish the race within 3 minutes of the leader. The reason we didn't this race was because I had to let the AI take control as I needed a pit stop of my own! Sorry about that.

I'll be at V Festival next weekend so I'll see you lot after that. :D

D2 Race Report - Well, I managed to get a good start, I broke fairly early at the first corner so I could make it as close to the apex as possible without incident. I saw RedReevos overshoot and just dodged me as he was caught on my draft, and he lost a few places. Coming out of that corner I had a 1-2 second lead from Owens, and then another 2 seconds from Lynchy and Joker Swede. For me this was ideal, as it allowed me to pull away and relax as no one was pressuring me, and I was very nervous on this track. On the next lap something happened to Owens, and I had around a 6-8 second lead on Lynchy and Joker, whose battling allowed me to put more time between me and them. Soon I was overtaking the GT300's, who were mostly generous with room, and my tires were seriously worn out, so I was starting to make a few mistakes, especially at the hairpin. Then I caught up to the GT300 leaders, Scanny and Paul who I tried overtaking at the Schumacher S. I got past Paul easy, but just started overtaking Scanny at an awkward point of the corner, and as he turned in, his back end clipped me and I went off into the gravel trap. Lynchy was now pretty close, about 4 seconds behind, but thankfully my pitstop was coming up on Lap 14, when I made another mistake and he was right on my tail going into the pits.

Then something weird happened. I went into the pits, just like Lynchy, although when he stopped it was only for a second and then he went back out, and I thought I had majorly 🤬 up and had to make up 10 seconds on him. Next lap I saw him go in the pits again, and breathed a sigh of relief as it would've really messed up strategy if he didn't, although I feel for him having the problems he did and having to quit. After a few laps I was back in the lead and got back into hotlapping mood again, gaining time from Joker, about 20 seconds. I pitted again on Lap 27 with a comfortable lead from RedReevos, who had found his way to 2nd, he was the only GT500 fairly close to me, about 20 seconds off. For the first 7 or so laps of my 3rd stint, I focused on just keeping a good pace around the track and not making any stupid mistakes, at the expense of my tires. Eventually I felt my tires going again, and I had to be careful not to oversteer and just be conservative with them for the last 5 laps. RedReevos was catching me up by a second a lap but it wasn't enough, and when I finally made the finish line I was very relieved, definitely a tough race and I'm glad to get this track out of the way, it's horrible :yuck:

Well done to everyone for a clean and great race, and to Scanny for winning D2 GT300, as well as Remy and Adermmm for winning in D1 👍

As WSGTC is taking a break, I too will be (to Florida :dopey: ) and in effect will miss the race at Monza, but I should be back on the Wednesday before the race at Indy Road, counting on Dante to have a good setup ready so I can qualify as soon as I'm back :sly: I may drop by every now and then, but I will be mostly inactive on here, so please don't see me as not taking part in the series anymore, cause that is definitely not the case! Off to Florida I go :gtpflag:

Just like to say when i put i cut the chicane on lap 24 because i outbroke myself, i didnt gain anytime from it so hopefully no penalty.

my race
i started 3rd in the gt300's(div 2) . i managed to get away cleanly and pulled away from the cars behind me. i stayed with the front 2 until i made a mistake and dropped away on about lap7. after i pitted at the end of lap 13, i rejoined in 5th place.
it became clear that paul and scanny were doing 1 stop which ment i couldnt catch them, so i settled for 3rd early on.
the rest of my race was fairly uneventful until i pitted again and came out about 10 seconds behind mule. i caught him up and passed him on the hairpin on lap 32.
i started to pull away thinking thats it race over.
mule crashed into me at the chicane on lap 32, but amazingly none of us recieved any damage (mule explained and apologised after the race, no hard feelings.) no complaint from me. the race finished for me as it started in 3rd place in d2 and 9th overall and fairly happy with my race.

I would still like the repaly if someone would be so kind...

I would get mine to you. However not sure how to do so. I can get it off my ps3. Then I get lost on what to do. For I haven't researched or done it.

Hi guys, can anyone supply me with fast laps datas for both divisions? Thanks.

Wait with the tables until we are done with the final results..
It's only confusing to post a table with provisionals. The text in round 4 thread is enough. And you don't need to do redo the tables.

Remember what we talked about yesterday regarding the interview? 👍

Thanks for the D1 stats. We neeed D2 also :)

Can't write the Interview right now. Will be going out tonight (It's 6.00pm here at the moment - im on the celly) but ill try and squeeze it send it to you :sly:

btw... here's a new design for the results sheet (week 3 example). As you can see, the fastest laps are non-existent. Would be nice to have them - i just need replay files :)

Looks awesome Eric! 👍

But what do you say? "btw... here's a new design for the results sheet (week 3 example). As you can see, the fastest laps are non-existent. Would be nice to have them - i just need replay files"

All fastest laps are in your sheet, no?

I meant, it would be nice to have the fast laps for all drivers on the results sheets. I only have the fastest laps of 2 drivers (which are both fastest laps from each class)

Aha, ok.. Yea, I agree.. I'll send you all fastest laps from D1 at La Sarthe. That's the only replay I got.

Guess we need some help to gather all fastest laps from guys who got each race replay saved from round 1, both divisions, round 2, both classes. D2 from La Sarthe, and D2 for Nurburgring GP/F. 👍

All: Please, start your replay, and 2 min 55 seconds after the first car cross the finishline, go to "live timing", then pause.. Take a photo of the screen, and post all drivers fastest laps. 👍

Great racing yesterday @oulton park Totally loved it BTW has anyone updated the driver standings?

Well no, 'cause they're... not, yet.

Anyway. We're revised our course of action after races end. Now it's Friday: race > finish > review incidents > Saturday: Deliberation, PM's and such > Sunday > Post official restults in Round specific thread > Dump results into dump sheets to get the points > Masi draws up the tables.
