I'd love to but it's 6AM and I haven't had any tuning setup time in yet, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow so I can make sure I have something driveable.

I lol'd a little :D

But anyway, welcome to the series CSLACR! (Apparently, i have appointed myself the resident greeter)

edit: tree'd...
Thanks, I'm not gonna lie, it's a little overwhelming trying to read everything, I'll have to re-read it tomorrow to make sure I remember it all.

looking at the driver list Aderrrm moved to the Advan Subaru didnt he... ?

Apparently you need an audience, so I guess my only question is how and when I can get that audience.
It seems a little dependent on others being online and ready at the same time.

Yeah but what's cool is that since there's so many stewards/capable hosts online at any given time you'll always have that audience.

The thing is you don't really need an audience in that it needs to be a bunch of people. All it takes is for one capable host to be in the room with you (their names are listed in the OP) to observe your quali. run.

Welcome SuperSic!

Great to have you here. Hope you wouldnt mind racing on friday nights ;)

@ Paulmack - I forgot about that completely.

I'd like to join this series if I may?

Go and check the OP (First Page, Post 1) and click the Sign-up icon. Races are held friday nights (GMT).

Read Rules and Regulations carefully. Make sure you understand them fully đź‘Ť

Race time will be around 6AM Saturday morning for you my bro.

But I'm psyched you're down to race! Was hoping you'd be one of the people that'd come around.

You'll need to decide whether you'd do GT500 or 300, plenty of super-fast competition on both sides.. Then go to the sign-up page linked up in the OP (big purple button surrounded by girls).

I'll vouch for Monstar as being a really quick and clean racer đź‘Ť. Raced with him in LotS.

hah and yes don't be afraid to ask any and all questions. We realize the series format's quite special so there's no shame in asking seemingly obvious questions.

But if you do join up and stay dedicated then you've picked a great time as the series is just heating up đź‘Ť

P.S: It's good that you're coming from LotS though since doing that has gotten you accustomed to custom formats and special lengthy rules xD

Just FYI, if anyone's interested (new guys) in GT300, there are spots open for the 08 garaiya and Apex MR-S (1 each). Just thought id clarify since the GT300 list is not up to date.

GT500 list - up to date đź‘Ť

Thanks Wardez, I'm on my phone so I didn't see the sign up link. I'd love to race here with you guys but 6am didn't work for me :(
I'll try to come to 1 race though. It just means that I'll have to be up about 530am to get some practice laps in.
Spewin about that.

I'll look around for a more friendly tome zone as being down under didn't suit mist time zones lol. Oh well, my problem.

Thats too bad about Australian players - lots of fast guys from down there. I think the only Australian we have that participate regularly is Imari. Although he's had trouble with his ISP recently and has been absent since week 1.

UPDATES:

::::: ROUND 5 SPECIFICS :::::
Laps: 39
Weather: Set to Sunny unfixed. Track is reset before green flag and will be reset again if we do not have dry starting conditions to avoid rolling start accidents. We will only accept early rain if it starts after the rolling start is well under way.

-----TRACK BOUNDARY IMAGES-----
Green checkmark = clean. Red x = dirty.

TrReO.jpg
GgIBf.jpg

Turns 1 chicane. Stay on the red and white. Your angle of attack will be looked at closely.

7s5PT.jpg
tx7cs.jpg

Be very careful coming into T3 chicane Roggia. It's easy to get out of bounds in such a tight place. And yes we will utilize millimeter size tolerances when inspecting questionable lap replays, do not try to get fresh.

Z8QmU.jpg
ZEt8y.jpg

The black tar run off after turn 4 in the beginning of Lesmo is an easy place to have a sandwhich so staying clean is vital to keeping your lap going, not much science going on here and not much to gain from going off the red and white curbing - Cutting turn 5 will not be tolerated.

5DydH.jpg
CqyF8.jpg

The run off in turn 5 can't be used for speed, as with T4's exit, so just stay on surface and you're fine - The more important part is your line back on track. You must get off the curbing before it ends and the green concrete keeps going. If you go back on track staying on the tar and crossing over the green concrete past the curbing your lap will be considered invalid. This goes for qualifying and during the race.

QUdLA.jpg

This is the proper line, though extremely close, in getting back on track after T5's exit.

qC03o.jpg
QCCiz.jpg

This is Turn 7's first left kink curbing/green concrete pad and yes this is a bad lap. I was serious when I said millimeters - The partner image is a close shave, but definitely clean.

F0KBK.jpg
VfyFT.jpg

Now this is T7's right hand kink. Ascari is tough to get a good rhythm through, but if you're off like this, don't bother trying to save it. The second image is more tasteful and clean.

CzNTJ.jpg
kw59q.jpg

Ascari left kink exit.

arHtm.jpg
6nwf8.jpg

Do not finish T7's exit by crossing the solid white line beyond the curbing - Join the track proper before the curb ends.

Turn 8/ Parabolica is impossible to cut to gain time so we won't worry about that, standard rules apply.

On to the pits:
lGzS2.jpg
8xKcy.jpg

Do not cut into the pits like this on entrance. You must take an intentional angle of attack when coming in out of the final turn. Stay inside the yellow line. We will hand out penalties for not doing so. If you're past the proper entrance and realize it when it's too late, it's better to just do another lap than receiving a penalty for pitting unappropriately.

uMLzw.jpg
8BxLi.jpg

On pit exit you must, again, stay within the yellow line. Then stay within the extended pit exit line (solid white) all the way until its completion at the 1st turn 100m marker. We will make sure you abide by this rule. It's to keep your acceleration zone away from those that may be coming in full speed into turn 1. Do this even if you're absolutely sure no one else is around on the straight.

65zkh.jpg

Just stay to the right then after the pit line ends, and if the coast is clear, get on with the racing! You can almost feel that little pace car's happiness.

  • Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. Green concrete is not track. This is the way we are drawing out track boundaries for our race at Monza. We realize that there are alternate interpretations with respect to what is and what is not part of the curbing. But in our series the half of the curbing that is painted green in certain parts of Monza is treated the same as grass and NOT track area. The traditional two tire OLR rules apply and all questionable laps will be greatly scrutinized.

You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying.
Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white lines.

  • Pit lane.
Entry: Respect the white lines and yellow dotted lines that mark out pit entry. Do not dive into the pits from the straight. You must make a shallow approach to pit lane coming out of the last turn Parabolica.

Exit: You MUST stay within the long pit white line until it ends around the 100M mark before turn 1. Just make sure to stay right when you enter the track until you are 100% sure that you will not cause an accident.
General: When entering and exiting pits, the white lines are ment to be respected. Yes, you can cross the white line when entering and exiting the pits. But if an incident occur, the driver who crossed the white line (The one on track, or the one who comes out from the pits) will be held responsible, and a penalty will come as a result.
  • Green Flag: Polecar will decide where the start is. He must make sure that ALL cars are clear of the last turn before starting.
It's totally up to the pole car, as long as ALL cars behind him are on the straight. He can not start the race if the last car is still in the middle of the last turn. Pole car has right side of track for first right turn.

Great Wardez, everything looks cool, and i cant see anyone hving any problems as the photos are super!.

Im prob gunna have to do my quali tonight as i dont think i will hve time tomorrow.

I did about 5 or so laps last night with the lexus and was able to do a 1:46.4. I think im gunna have to take off lots of rear downforce to even get close to the 44s. I think 45 is reasonable with the lexus.

Thanks. Everything's been updated on the race specific thread as well. So I suggest everyone keep that thread subscribed to or favorited for good reference.

I hit a 1:45.8xx after some quick laps myself. The GT-R guys are creeping into the low 45s, good NSX dudes are about to break 44 and I'm hoping we can at least get into the low 45s with our Lexys.

Why don't you join me up in the Denso Pag? Seems like Stretch's gone, unless I missed her leave of absence. We'd make a solid team đź‘Ť

Nice.

I was getting 44.1 earlier with Motul GTR. with full downforce. If i understand correct, i can lower downforce but with no raising of bhp, right?

Didn't try it still,do you think it can be faster in this track to do that?

Are you in a room right now? I'm starting one up to make sure you have all the settings correct.

I mean, I guess 1:44.1's possible in a sense. But it would quite incredibly hard to achieve on the racing hards we use with the proper GT-R spec.

WOW 44.1 without an nsx and full downforce.

To answer your question, yes your right, you can lower DF but cannot add BHP

and @ Wardez il be in your room in about an hour, just cooking dinner ;)

Guess I have a team mate welcome to team Lexus!
