I'm looking forward to this one... I just hope everybody makes it through the first corner unscathed.
Regarding hosting: Sure, I can host... I'll try and have the room open at least one hour before green flag.
It would be good if we could get at least 6 people in the room early on so we can test this new procedure I mentioned earlier in the thread 👍
To clarify:
1. We reset the track (to erase any timed laps that were made previously)
2. We join the track in free run mode and get in position as per our quali times (no-one must put in a timed lap - the leader should just drive to the first corner and remain stationary until everyone else has lined up behind him)
3. We start the race and wait for the countdown
4. With luck, the PD servers will have replicated the order from free run mode and we'll all be in our correct positions for the race 'proper' (the test race, that is).
5. We continue as per usual with the leader controlling the pace during the formation lap.
6. et Voila! (I hope)
I hope that's clear enough for everyone to understand...if not, fire away with your questions.

Q: What if the actual leader doesn't show up in time for the practice run?
A: We go ahead but the next fastest person, according to the quali times, takes the pole position (for test purposes only). The same goes for any other driver who isn't present at the time of the practice procedure - the next fastest driver will take their position (again, for test purposes only).
Q: What if the actual procedure doesn't work, will we go ahead and use it anyway for the actual race?
A: No.
Q: What if people lag out during the practice?
A: The show must go OOooon. *in the style of Queen*

That's ok supra. It's a same class race and i'm in the GT300s so I won't be hosting the room you'll be in as you're in the GT500s and there'll be a separate GT500 host for you...so no need to panic.
I'm interested to know how you've come to the conclusion that you're safer in the pits though - current regs state that you're meant to stay in the pits till the race starts anyway, so how have you got anything to compare it too? Have you been naughty and snuck out of the pitlane during entry?

hhhah no but sometimes people say stay in the pits or could get a black screen which has happened quite a few times and when i stay in the pits it doesnt normally happen.

What speeds you hit on the straights?
Fwiw I ran almost a second faster in the ARTA NSX then my GTR.
It make some serious MPH on the straights.
