Nice Wardez 2-3 with your new teammate im sure thats excatly what you were hoping for ;)
Edit: Thanks Masi it was a blast battling with you and everyone else and i was even 1st from the last corner to the end of the pit straight :D lol

Hortus, thanks for the many times you took it upon yourself to host races. It's a lot of extra work and I thought you always did a great job. 👍

I can try to host races in the future. My connection is 15Mbit/1Mbit cable with 10ms ping to NYC backbones.

That's great Atlas, thanks for taking it upon yourself to take over the hosting duties.

With some luck, maybe the lag issues will disappear and we can all concentrate on the racing.

Congrats on your win. I'm sure it was well deserved and hard fought.

@ Paul
Yeah man we're psyched! I'm giving my manager a ton of free iridium spark plugs for making the great last minute contract with Pag, worked out perfect!

Now free hotdogs and Denso iridium 3+ spark plugs for EVERY ONE!

I got the pleasure of racing CSL and w-g-e today. Granted it took the draft for me to hang. But nonetheless it was a blast racing people you can just go and not worry much about.

Toyosupra. Sure was hoping today was your day for a good clean race. To bad the draft bit you. :( we had some killer laps going. Till you got out on me. CSL came in to save the day with his draft.

All in all decent race. Got crashed out lap one second chicane. Pitted back to 13th. Finished 7th. Had a great run after the first lap.
Who did I rear-end at the start? I know it was technically my fault, as I should have braked sooner, did not expect everyone to brake so hard so early.

I saw a lot of things, most notably that people should be a little more careful, while diving on the inside at the last second is possible with GT5 slipstream, it's a good way to take both drivers out.
Also early braking (brake checking) when being drafted, people need to put some faith in the guy behind them, nobody's expecting to brake 100ft early, I'm fuzzy on exact rules for these scenarios, it just seemed like a dangerous mix of fear and aggression, neither of which is necessary if the other driver has control and a clear head.
Not finger pointing, I don't think anything I was involved in was intentional, so no hard feeling from me towards anyone. 👍

C-Falcon had some lag at the end, I wasn't even within slipstream, and GT's dodgy-ness somehow caused damage to my car with 3 laps left, despite him actually being about 1.5-2.0 seconds in front of me, a real shame, took away all ability to continue the streak of 1:45's I had going. :( Not your fault though, just a bad turn of luck for me.

I think i theoretically could've held on to 3rd but my tires was too worn out to hold off Paulmack (great racing Paul). Drove 24 laps (as well as Mule) with those tires :yuck:

I hate this track and its draft happy straights.

Official Results will come out as soon as the replays have been reviewed.

Mule, apologies in advance for ruining your race.

Don't worry about it. Just saw it, and it was my fault. I'll take the penalty for that. Still didn't expect anyone to try to pass there, but oh well.

What I should be more concerned about are the curbs. Looking at the replay, and I see I'm really close on some of them. :nervous::(

DUDE WARDEZ, i was just sick when i looked at the hotdogs, it looks like somthing that has come out of my arse LOL....

Yea great race started 12th and then suddenly i was fighting for 3rd 4th 5th 6th, i got the undercut on supraphantom in the pits to get him off my draft, as i knew that i wasnt going to catch wardez or joker

Good race overall :D

Fyi I didn't disconnect when I re-entered the room. When I disconnected at Turn 5 (1st Lesmo) on the parade lap, my internet was still up. So I immediately returned to the room to check what was going on (Had you restarted or not) - As you guys started to quit the room for a re-start (With assistance from Masi and Mule, might I add...), I decided that would be a good time to restart the Router + PS3 and promptly did so. I posted in this topic while running across the house to yank the cable out the back of the router, to tell the race host (and anyone else) what was going on.

I rejoined the room no more than 6 minutes later to find the race had started already. In total that was 10 minutes from my disconnect.

I have already PM'd Denilson with what Room Hosts need to do in future; we often have disconnects due to the nature of the series (People connecting from all across the world, it's inevitable), so the Room Host has to have access to the thread to receive updates from offline people! Or, send a message to the person on PSN to confirm if they are having difficulties. Hortus, it's not your fault, but I think there can be better help for Room Hosts in future. There shouldn't be a mid-parade lap vote as to whether you restart or not - there should be a set 'false start' procedure to follow instead, hopefully we can set something up. 👍

We are all here to race and often dedicate multiple nights per week to compete in this series; so it'd be good if we could group together and have the information there in front of us before making a decision.

We need a better sort of contingency than the forums or PSN to contact each other.

...

Maybe we can get everyone here on MSN, Gtalk or some other sort of messenger that the most of us can be on our phones with.

Also, I'd be willing to exchange personal cell phone numbers with Americans (or anyone that has good international texting) so we can have that as a back up.

I hate to see what happened to Moleman as he always makes races, just a shame here since he would've been so good in the race.

We need to put an end to the mis-communication.

Also Hortus, you're fine, no need to feel like you have to give up any responsibilities or whatever.

CSL, I don't see where I said anything bad about your driving. Had a great experience around you.

Edit never mind I see you were stating you got into someone early. I thought you was asking me as if I said something. Being I was quoted.

ill say in advance i wont be doing the race at Indy Road due to me and my parents going to the BTCC at Knockhill that friday so have fun guys :D ................. i know i will be :sly: also......

I wasn't sure but for some reason I thought it was you I tagged at the start, but I checked the quali and it was in fact, C-Falcon.
So I guess it evens out my misfortune of lag catching him at the end.

It seems like maybe we should spread the cars at start a bit more, if possible, idk. I foresee potential mishaps next week entering turn 1 at Indy.

Actually we're on a two week summer break starting now. We need time to ship all the cars over from Europe to North America.

xD

Anyway. We're definitely going to be doing a lot of optimization work and you'll see it reflected in the thread completely starts next week.

You can do the series of short practice races we're setting up next Friday with us though!

Both good to know, I'd love to join, organized racing is the only real online enjoyment I get in GT5, so count me in for whatever it is.👍

Thanks Dante. GT300s, it'd be great if any of you could run the replay till the end and take a snap shot of the fastest laps.

We'll just need that and the GT300 replay. If anyone that's NTSC can send me the replay file and Dennis the PAL replay that'd be great so we can all review it.

That's all we need to get the results up.

Fellas, i was thinking of possibly hosting a spot race using the Formula 1 car (F10). We'll be slowing the cars all the way down with the power limiter to make them feel like lower division open wheelers :D (we can also use the Formula GT if its much preffered). I was inspired by Wardez' comment in the general section 👍 If the racing is good enough, we can possibly use them for an expansion series under the WSGTC banner ;)

What do you guys think?

I really really think that sounds GREAT! 👍👍

Yeah, FGT though for sure so more people can try 👍
I think it sounds good. Any idea what day/time?
If it would help in slightly longer term, I have the magical level 24 ticket that can be sent/distributed around via duping to get anyone their choice of three cars, the FGT, F2007, and F10.
I've always wondered with limiting if these cars can be made equal by a certain PP level.

Most likely friday, same time.

I'd much prefer the F10 for its sounds and look alone :D
It felt weird running it at monaco as the the engine note
was really loud even though i was going way slower :D

Yeah but that's the problem. You'd have little people with the car in the first place (we tried organizing an all F10/'07 Monaco race and it just had horrible turn out.

And you'd have the same red cars every where. FGT can go even lower in power and aero so I see that as a plus.

Yeah, that's the dilemma i was thinking about also. How much is an F1 car? 12 Miliion? Too bad we can't gift them anymore. I got about 10 of them :D (from different accounts - glitching).
