Having NASCAR trouble??

This setup will walk on the AI!!! I won all races in a row both A-Spec and B-Spec. This is for the AJ Allmendinger Fusion. I won the car, changed the oil right away before driving it and then rebuilt the engine as soon as I could. Change the oil again and you will have 892 hp! Here is the tuning setup I used for all races. Also be sure to TURN OFF ALL ASSISTS for both oval tracks only. All races use RACING SOFT TIRES!

Suspension:

Ride Height- F+15, R-15
Spring- F 18.4, R 18.5
Dampers(both ext and comp) F8 R8
anti-roll bars F6 R6
Camber F 0.5 R 0.5
toe angle F 0.0 R 0.2

Gear ratios by race, both A and B-spec:

Race 1: Indy, All assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph.

Race 2: Grand Valley, Traction control 1, ABS 10, Skid recovery force on, Gear ratio at 193 mph

Race 3: High Speed Ring, Traction control 1, ABS 10 Skid recovery force ON,
Gear Ratio at 193 mph

Race 4: Laguna Seca, Traction Control 1, ABS 10, Skid Recovery Force ON,
Gear Ratio at 162 mph

Race 5: Daytona, All Assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph. Stay low the entire race. Do not allow them to draft you!

Hope this helps. VERY frustrating race, but with these settings I won every race by at least 5 seconds.

This is a great tune as well as the hint to stay low at Daytona.

Won gold in all the races and now its championship time.

Im also pleasantly surprised on how well the car handles on the road courses.

Thank you

Looks interesting.

For a more simple tune, all I did was increase rear downforce to 50 and front downforce to 30. I took ABS completely off for the two ovals and HSR.

I also used my stock car for the American Championship. Save some money and don't bother buying another race car. Its more powerful than the competition but also heavier and doesn't handle quite as well, but I found it was an exciting race, especially at Laguna Seca vs a bunch of Ford GTs and Vipers.

A-spec was easy enough, but I dunno how you got past b-spec. The first thing my Bob does is fall to the back of the pack & sit there; I can only assume so he can play gameboy or something.

Just did the first race at Indy. Won EASILY with the same car by a good 8/9 seconds.

Just did the second race. Won by 9 seconds again (despite shoddy driving). Fantastic tune! The car feels very easy to drive.

Big thanks for it

In nascar cup everything was fine until the final race. What a... i hate nascars in every possible ways

First of all, I wanted to bow to the Nascar God Leadboots, thankyou sir for the awesome suspension settings and for getting me out of lurkmode. HAHA!

I managed to do win the Nascar championship on my first go without an oil change or engine rebuild. (I was too lazy to go out and do it after reading your post just as I was about to do my first kilmotre in it. (Practice is for girls =)

I managed to gold the first 4 events with a minning marging of like 10 secs on each won. It was too easy...then Daytona came lol. Every time I got into the lead position, they bumped and spun me off. I tried inner line, wall, staying in the middle, staying at the back until lap 8, nothing would work. In between all of this I did an oil change but couldnt do the rebuild coz I hadnt done enough kilometres. GRRRR

I finally did it by lowering the suspension at the front to the same as the back. I thought your setting of +15 for the front was ludicrous but who was I to argue with the guy who got me 4 golds in a row on my first attempts. Anyway I changed that one thing and set my top speed to 390km instead of 370 in the hope i could pull away after drafting. After my 3rd go I did it, alot of it was keeping to the inner ring like you said and mirror watching to get them to bump me after they drafting off each other.

I still can't do the rebuild lol, whatever its done now and I owe it all to you leadboots, much appreciated.

The GTO they give you...could it be tuned to destroy the historic car race at deep forest? I got my Countach to do laps of 1:18 and occasionally 1:16's and freaky one off 1:15's but the 7 race car and 2J always seem to beat me. Was just wondering before I sink 300 odd grand into for nothing.

You want the downforce low so that the car is looser and faster in the corners. Too much downforce will knock your spped down a bit and allow the rat bastards of the AI world to draft you.......then spin you to your grave.

Where did you win the AJ Allmendinger Fusion as looked through the prize cars and cant find it anywhere, Thanks

I believe I won the Fusion in an early B-spec race. Either that, or I got it in the Jeff Gordon Nascar school for golding something. Sorry, it was a couple of weeks ago that I got it. I highly recommend doing the B-Spec events. I know they are boring to say the least, but the cars you win in some of the races are worth it. Just won a Ford GT40 Race Car '69 for the Laguna Seca Endurance Race last night!

what about active steering and ASM?

It spun out on the sharpest turn in high speed ring, but i think i just need to drive better?

WHAT TYRES DID YOU USE, im useing racing hard tyres, the steering is so bad. im gonna try soft.

Personally I used my set-up for when I race Daytona online, got gold every event, and demolished the AI.

I used this setup and i finished the first race w/ gold and i used soft racing tyres but only was first by 4 seconds, im not a very good driver..

won by 9 seconds in grand valley, won by 7 seconds in high speed ring, won by 11.7 seconds in laguna seca. skipped the last race cause i had 400 points, second place had 185 and third place had 180 points. Rape.

WAIT. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, i left the last race before i started it, SO I ABONDADNED CHAPOINSHIP NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

NOO, i think life hates me. I was about to win on the last race then on the last lap i hit the side hard and my car was going along the wall. now. i. have. to. start. over.fml.

I finally got gold.

You only need to turn off ASM on the oval tracks (daytona and Indy) so you hold more speed in the corners. I had ASM on in all the other races. As for active steering, I never use it anyways, so I guess that is up to you. I have never tested these settings with active steering, and I do not plan on revisiting these LOVELY races again to see if it works. Got my golds and I'm done with Nascar!

Thanks for this great setup!! I used the special #20 Game stop Nascar car, it worked just fine with your setup.

Indy +5 sec.

Grand Valley +9 sec.

High speed ring +3 sec, (got flipped the first lap, and I do mean flipped, still came in first place.)

Laguna Seca +6 sec.

Daytona last place. Got spun on the second lap lost the draft. I still won the campionship.

Thanks again!!!

Great set up! Thanks for that. I wasn't used to the way the car handled, so I spun out twice in the begining of Grand Valley. I was some 19 seconds behind and still managed to catch up, pass everyone by 4th lap, and win the race with couple of seconds to spare.

Just a few km then change the oil, now I have a 905hp Nascar car without any engine rebuilding (all of you really don't need it, seriusly. This is for old cars with tons of km). My only problem is PD won't let me reduce the hp by ECU management, so for the "Nascar @ the North" event I have to buy a new one :grumpy:
Anyway my bob would appreciate your setup I guess. So thank you.

Any advice on which of these will work best for the Bonus race NASCAR @ Nurburgring?
I'm driving the #20 car by Toyota.. if it makes a difference at all, versus the Ford.

After a number of fails i found your setup here, and with it my Bob dominated and won every race, many thanks!

My level 20 bob just sits in 12th place like a halfwit idiot. Did you have to babysit yours like a toddler throughout the race to get him to win?

yes mate you have to nurse him along all the way, in every race. I start the race by spamming "increase pace" instead of "overtake" to get him up in the lead while the tyres are still good, then maintain his pace at the bottom end of red on his cool/hot bar for the rest of the race.

BUT, on grand valley i keep his cool/hot in the middle to conserve the tyres until lap 6, when all the other cars start losing grip on all the corners, then i up the pace to max or three quarters and he shoots up to first.

hope this helps.

It doesnt work for Bspec!!!!!!

Can win at indy and once at high speed ring but thats it!

At grand valley and laguna seca you get way too much over and the back end always kicks out and lose traction all the way thru the track.

There has to be a way to overcome this but i havent found it yet and have tried so many setups its ridiculous?

Does anyone know how to stop the back end from flicking on the tight circuits?

Cheers.
