Early for some, but not for all. When I was 11 or 12, my little friends were already singing to me (in Dutch): Omo washes completely clean. (from a commercial for a laundry detergent called Omo). I knew my preference at that age, and so did they. No big deal.

He is a bit special, and an attention seeker. A lesson doesn't go by without him being shouted at by somebody.

Sounds a lot like someone at our school. In our French Class the teacher has no control so this kid at the back tries to get attention by throwing stuff at people and when that doesn't work he acts like a mentally ill person. Sometimes I think he is one.
 
I once had a girlfriend who thought she was gay until she hooked up with me (had same sex relationships). Then she claimed she was straight and had gone off girls. How would she be labelled? Bi, previously gay, a convert to straight or just confused?

I don’t know what sort of time frame we’re looking at here, but if it’s anytime recently and if she was in her 20s, then I think “normal” is the operative word. :P Seems to be a fashionable trend lately for girls to be “experimental”, as MazdaPrice says.
 
That's what I thought, to be honest. She was just in one of them early adulthood, sexual experimentation periods. Still, I missed out on any chance of putting her past sexuality to good use for my own benefit. :grumpy:
