Is it me, or are paints unlimited use now?

I reused the same "Gun Grey Metallic" chip like 4 times, even though I only had one.

EDIT: Nope. It was a glitch. After I reloaded the game the paintchip was gone.

If I rent a movie, my friends can watch it free of charge. If I buy a pizza, my friends can have a slice free of charge. If I purchase a CD and play it at a party I don't go around charging everyone that's listening to it. Also, you can only have 100 friends on your list so they would obviously sell more than 1 track pack.

What better way to encourage people to buy the tracks for themselves then by letting them have a taste of it's magnificence online? Just like the free samples at the grocery store, we'll give you a taste which will make you want to buy your own! The value of these tracks just went way down since I'll only be able to race on it with select friends who also bought the DLC. Why would I want to set the track to something that would eliminate some of my friends from being able to race with me? "Sorry guys, you're not allowed to participate in this race because we're going to do it on a track you don't have access to." Again, 👎

I understand your guys point, but for me it just made these DLC tracks almost worthless.

Your friends can still try the track for free, if they come over to your house and play. How is that any different than your rent a movie situation? Your friends across the country or world can't watch the movie you rented for free can they? The way I see it, PD gave people a 2 month free trial of the track and now they are saying if you want to play SPA, buy the DLC. I understand the frustration, it's going to affect leagues this season, but PD isn't doing anything wrong and after you get over the initial shock of it you will realize it wasn't unreasonable of them. And I know you think the value of the tracks went down, but actually the value of them went up. Where was the value in me paying for them when I could use them for free online? Infinite free use online definitely didn't encourage many people to spend their hard earned money.

I suspect this is a new bug rather than a feature...

After testing a few standard models and taking track-side photos I decided to use the miniature filter, after quitting photo mode and selecting a new car and new track the bumper cam during racing was with the miniature filter - a novelty for the first lap but it soon wore thin. I tried again, into photo mode and changed it to the cool filter, the same happened (you even get that effect in some camera angles on the replays). Sadly turning the filter off in the photo mode menu did not work and I have been stuck with filters on the bumper cam racing screen. Hoping a reset fixes this.

Does anyone know if the rolling start glitch at Daytona and Indy got fixed. The one where you had to press start twice at the countdown or else your car would be stuck at a certain speed. Thanks.

I've noticed when racing online your position on the leaderboard does not reset when changing cars

This interests me greatly if it's true!

I never meant to imply it was unreasonable, I understand why they did it. It was just a rather large kick in the crotch to find out I had to remove the most anticipated track from my league's schedule. For people who don't race in league's it would be of little concern. 90% of what I do on GT5 is somehow connected to my league racing, therefore the value of the DLC tracks went down (for me) since I can now only use them for that rare 10% where I'm not doing something league related. This is specific to me, your results may vary and I realize this.

I apologized, I should have moved my complaints to the disappointment thread. Let's not clutter up this thread with any more discussion of this. 👍

Just a quick thing that I noticed about load times since Spec 2.0, they are not exactly faster when loading a race, PD just moved the part where the cars get loaded into the race until after you are at the race start screen.

I guess this helps eat up some of the wait time, as you can go into settings and driving options while the cars load, but you can't start the race until they all turn "white".

Just a Captain Obvious moment for me. :P

I apologize if this has been asked before, but can you buy the new 86 that you get for free in the NCD?

Yes, you can. You can also purchase the 1st DLC cars from the dealership, although I haven't found the Family Unlock yet to allow purchasing the cars on my other accounts. I think it goes online today with the new DLC car pack.

Unless i'm missing something the HUD can't be completely custom. I want to have JUST the rev counter in the bottom right with nothing else, I can't see how to do that? The lowest I can go is that cluster, the fuel/tyre cluster on the left, position in the top left and the timer in the middle. I don't want any of that.

It made my tracks worth a unlimited amount of money more. Before, it was useless, as anyone would race in only anyway.

I think i'll ignore any complainers from now on. You guys complain about everything, even about buying.

Cheap 🤬 and no I don't mean Happy Xmas

Man I really hope they fix this bug. I don't use filters much, but I can imagine this could get quite annoying after awhile.

I am sure it has been said in the sounds thread, but the wind noise from GT4 has made a comeback and I love it!:sly:

Yes this is rather annoying, I had to reset the game to clear the filter from the chase cam.

Unfortunatly that's not possible :\

Also i didn't see if anyone else saw this but in regulations you can now restrict ABS... I like this feature considering that in real life RM GT300 GT500 LM LMP do not have this ability... So i think it is a good option

Sorry for double post but i forgot this too you can set penaltys while in free roam great for making qualifying laps

Just run Arcade mode NASCAR - AI is wisened up. They ran 4 wide without backing out and even wrecked me with two to go.

The indicators now changing for speed when you look at them in photomode
Can someone elaborate on this a bit more? Does this mean PD is using a better quality interior modelling in photomode during replays (the same higher quality used on Photo Travel)?

Has anybody tested out the "weak slipstream" to see if it's actually back to being "weak"? The broke it after the 2.01 update. This is one of the main things I was hoping for, it was soooo nice when it was actually weak.

PACE CAR LIGHTS WORK! OMIGOD!

Time to go dig it back out.

Drastically decreasing the amount of people who will be able to race you online at the track makes it worth an unlimited amount of money more?

Indeed. My thoughts exactly. Care to explain why it's better that 80% of online players can no longer join your Spa lobby noisiaturismo? I mean why is that "infinitely" better, hm? :yuck:
