Don't feel too bad I can't go 5 laps after the green flag without coursing out.

Based on wiifreaks large margin of victory, I would guess that you are far from the only one with this problem. The number of offs should decrease a lot after the next one or two races. We all just need to get used to the car and each other.

I haven't run the next track many times so I'll have to put in quite a few laps to ensure I don't fall off the track again.

Thanks, Marcus, but the thing is I'm just plain slow, apparently, because I only did a couple of mistakes that took me off the track, at Suzuka. One was unavoidable, and the second one was because lost concentration because of the first one. All in all I don't think it's worth more than 10 seconds. Meh, I'll have to settle with being a secondary character, haha :D

You were supposed to join the ST class, silly.

I know I am, because the other class is full. Just dont know yet what car to choose. :)

Edit: Im gonna try to get into the GT class though :)

Tyre wear was also killing me last race. After 8 laps my times were increasing 3-4 seconds. Its a vicious cycle of overdriving the tyres then ending up off course, and in the process wearing the tyre making it that much easier to blow the next element. I probably don't have enough camber and need to do some testing; I just haven't had the time. As you said Nas, seat time in the car will make a difference as well. Aside from the last race and qualifying I've driven the car for maybe 15 minutes.

I started a room if anyone wants to run some practice laps.

Nep you should be able to go in GS if ou want to a one of the TBC in GS ran a mini in the test race besides i want to win :P

Managed to do some initial testing last night at GP/D with some reasonable progress at the track yielding a best lap of 1'33.180. However, it was as if all the planets lined up for this particular lap, but I was able to run a few in the mid 33 bracket. Not had a chance to look at tyre wear yet, but I'm sure it will be the same as Suzuka, High!! :)

Is it too late to sign up for this season? I see it has already begun. Also, are there any other prerequisites than having the car specified and the sign up procedure described in the op?

What's going on with you, Mule? Busy? School? Are you planning to post the points table soon? Everyone's standing is obvious at this point, but I like to keep a close eye on my nemeses! ;)

In general, it's never too late to signup. Also, since the OP says that your worst race will be dropped from your points total, you would not be at much of a disadvantage.

Thanks for the reply Nastradamus87.

Nige knows the track boundaries well. I've run with him at Nurb. before in FMSC, he's quick there 👍

I consider this Aderrrm's home track, consider a whooping time from him come this weekend. Look forward to '32s

Never too late to sign up, man. Glad to have you aboard. All you really have to do is follow what's in the first 2 posts of the thread.

Greetings all. Just wanted to pop in to say that I'm passing on this week's race. I only have time for one race this week and I have decided to go with the Z06 series. Good luck to everyone this week and I hope to be back next week.

I'll have to do myself some practise; still in the 34's, and not that often, really. Nürburgring's giving me quite a hard time...!

To be honest I'm using the Suzuka set-up, but...

I'm going to be a little late to qualifying as I won't be home from work tomorrow until around 4:30-4:45 EDT. I'll try to make it in before qualifying is finished.

Mule, I wont be able to make it tomorrow to qualify, is there any way I can qualify tonight? It would have to be after 1030 est, or I could do tomorrow night around 7 est. Let me know, otherwise to the back of the grid I go :grumpy: .

Yeah, to me it's physically impossible! I'd need to know how these guys get to do it!! :)

You want to do some lead and follow later GV? I know you're eager so I'd be willing to help you out with some lines and such at the track so you can get a better grip on it all.

I'll post average turn speeds to aim for here later as well.

My times aren't terrible and they're dead consistent until the tyres begin to wane, but a 1:33.1xx is not going to happen with my current setup. I put in about an hour of testing the other night and made only a couple of slight changes that made the car a bit more predictable. I need to work on my setup, but it probably won't happen for this race; perhaps the next.

If you're still around, that would be fantastic, Wardez! I think one can learn a lot from following the fast people.

My first fast lap around the track with this car was following paulmac, and it was within a second of my current best, so it's probably related... :)

WOW!!! I need some new glasses!
I've spent the past couple of hours practicing at Nurb GP/F. What a relief to come back here to see I was at the wrong track. I thought there wasn't any help for me as my times were well over the 2 minute mark and I recalled that yours were in the 1'30s. As you can tell from my WRS Division 4 Bronze, I'm far from fast but to be that far off would be heart-breaking. That being said, I'm still a ways off from your times. Just not enough to drive off a cliff though! lol
All is not lost though. Off to practice some more-this time at the right track.

Also, if it is not a problem and I am able to race with you guys this Sunday, I would rather pass on a qualifying attempt and start at the rear so as to spend as much time practicing as I can. I also feel this would be better seeing as that's where I'll most likely end up and for me to stay out of the way and become familiar with everyone and them with me.

Thanks again for having me and I look forward to racing/meeting you all!

At least you realised now and all is not lost as you've been driving most of the track we'll use ;)

I'll set up a practice room and post the number here for anyone that wants to join.

ROOM CLOSED
