Yoyoyo! I've done championship:tup: :dunce: đź‘Ť !! I kicked out the jaguar, it drove like **** on the streetcourses and i couldn't get it right. So one night i checked out the secondhand cars and bought the nissan 92. And then it was easy, won everything, except the streetcourses, but i wasn't lapped at least (as i was in the jag...). S now it's on with the rest of the game.. that mercedes nurnburgring thing is also killing me, i have 18 seconds of from the leader.... practise, practise practise.
100% here i come (next summer or whatever...)

What would be the best car to beat the Le Sarthe , I'm trying with my Audi R8 but I just can't make it ><

I guess I cheated by using the b-spec mode. I know the computer can corner much better than I can. I just don't understand why it has so much trouble passing cars. It always runs into the back of them first.

Anyway, I also used that Minolta race car and finished with 8 first place finishes and 2 fourth places. It was really a pain because I had to avoid a pit stop in order to win a few of them....and those tires were getting VERY worn out. Even setting the pace to "1" didn't keep my car from almost wiping out on every corner. Still got the win, though ;)

so wats the best car to win the gtwc in p hall and put of the 10 races what is the best laps to make pit stops i serched the forum but i couldent find the right info im looking for

Lern to spel.

Have a look through the "Race Reports" board. There are half a doozen threads on the subject, which will explain what others have done successfully.

I've got the Nissan XANAVI Skyline that cost me Cr. 1,350,000. I'm having a little trouble with the Gran Turismo Championshop in the Profressional event. Do you think I can win the tourney using my Skyline? đź’ˇ

Winning with your Skyline will be probably really hard, I tried that with Mercedes CLK-GTR, it has fully modified including nitrous, I could keep those Minoltas, R89CP:s etc. behind only 2-3 laps with really aggressive driving, wall riding and using nitrous, if I made only one small driving errror and tyres got a bit worned, then atleast 2 cars passed me inmediately, so I'm now playing the game to 25% progress and then trying to win Toyota Minolta from one of those endurances, just hoping that's possible with Merc then.

JGTC cars can beat LMP cars in the GTWC though if you're a decent driver :) A user named Old Geezer did it 2 or 3 times with a JGTC car with success. He even managed to beat that championship in a 'normal' car.

One of the reports Sjenk linked to by Old Geezer in the post I quoted from a page ago covers beating GTWC in a Skyline JGTC. :) So it's definitely possible. ;)

To win the Minolta Toyota 88C-V you need to win El Capitan 200 Miles race. You won't need anything like the Mercedes' power to win there, I won that race in a stock Toyota Supra '97 on SM tyres, and got 200 A-spec points out of the deal. :D There's a tonne (more than any other race submitted) of cars that can easily win the El Cap' race in stock form for 200 points against the right lineup.

PM me if you'd like help selecting a car and more specifically the right lineup to beat for this race.
A word of warning about the Minolta though, don't be tempted to whack on a stage 4 turbo, with 1154HP this vehicle becomes little more than a tyre shredder! It handles pretty well in stock form.

Yep, Minolta is the sollution, but then PlayStation Pescarolo C60/Judd Race Car 2004 cames to your worst enemy in races, you need to use hard tires in front, super hards in back otherwise few last laps will be extremely hard because Pescarolo doesn't need any pitstops.

Win the Nurburgring 24 hour race. Then you will have the right car to compete with for the GT championship.

You don't need the F1 car. The Chapparal 2J, as people have suggested, is a good car. There is a downside though. The fans that great the immense downforce only work best on flat tracks, so on La Sarthe I and the 'Ring, you have to be very careful. 240mp/h in a Chap. 2J down the Mulsanne is very scary indeed. Trust me.

Eh, I found that when using the Minolta 88C-v, all I had to really do was keep it on the road. :\ I know a few people who have struggled with this event, personally; I found the Beetle cup much harder...

The black 787B gets my vote too it's got 790bhp as opposed to the new one with 690bhp and it's only 1,224,999cr. I just had a very easy win at Tokyo against even the mighty Sauber and got 78 A-spec points too, ran R3/R2 tyres and didn't even need to pit, lapped the R390 and Vertigo and I'm a lousy driver.

You should have bought a 1000000$ Gillet Vertigo race car. It's speed could destroy a 1350000$ car. There are faster cars than the gillet, such as the black hidden r92cp.

đź‘Ť What he said

I have the MINOLTA with more than 1000BHP, and i still can't win it.
First of all, get rid of the turbo. It doesn't really make the car that much faster on the track, and it turns the car into a tire shredder.

The GTWC is usually the first race that people run into that they can't beat simply by bolting on more horsepower. You need to have some driving skill and will also need a good pit strategy; more horsepower hurts (tire wear) more than it helps.

There are any number of cars that can win this series, including your Toyota 88C-V. My personal preference is the Mazda 787 or the Audi R-8, and I've done it with the BMW V12 LMR. Some people prefer the Pescarolos, or the Nissan R92CP. A few, whose skill level is far beyond mine, have won with JGTC cars.

Learn how to drive better, get to the point where you can at least silver most of the license tests, then give it another whirl. You'll find that it's actually not that hard a series.

Additionally, do a search. This is one of the most frequently asked questions here, and there is lots of advice beyond what I've given here.

I'm sure that that has been discussed more than one time.

Not only has it been discussed more than once, it's in fact either the most commonly or second most commonly asked question in GT4, with the other question being "How do I enter the GTWC?".

I haven't played Gran Turismo 4 for quite a while but I remember that the Gillet was a wonderful car for ÂŁ1,000,000.

Minolta from El Capitan or Toyota 7/Nissan R89C from the driving missions all the way. Or the 50% Jaguar XJR-9. I think those are the only Le Mans cars that are winnable without owning one yourself.

EDIT: Oops, this is a 6-year-old thread... Well, may this be a message for anyone still struggling with the event.

Actually there are a number of other prize cars that can win the GTWC: Audi R8, Bentley Speed 8, AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR, Nissan R92CP and Sauber Mercedes C9 off the top of my head.

But I said 'cars that are winnable without owning one yourself' :dopey: It's kind of hard to beat the Le Mans 24h races with a lower class race car, eh?

You're right: you DON'T have to own a prototype to win the cars you had mentioned previously. However, you did miss ONE that BobK pointed out: AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR. You win that from the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) which is available relatively early.

Let us not forget the Formula GT, too. You can use the FGT to win any of the cars I'd mentioned except the CLK-GTR.

And one of the cars that you can use to win the Formula can win the CLK-GTR.(the CLK touring car) This is all a cycle on some way.

Too true. We could spend LOTS of time debating the various bonuses and consequences of each and every alternative, but the fact remains that GTWC can be won with NUMEROUS cars, and it is really easy to get most all of them.

Now if we wan't to get technical, the DTM is still the way to go, because Euro hall is open right away, so as soon as you get the iB license and are loaded enough to purchase a DTM classed machine, you can get yourself a brand-spanking-new CLK-GTR and take on the Pro hall.

Most of the LMP cars come from the endurance hall, which requires 25% completion. Others can be purchased for 3.5 - 4.5 million credits (not counting the Week 100 black beauties or the Chaparral 2J). Other than those cars, off the top of my head the cars I can think of are the Nissan R89C by winning missions 30-34 and the CLK-GTR and that's it. Any I'm missing here?

I think people have won the GTWC with the Pagani Zonda LM Race Car (Missions 21-24 prize car) with careful lineup selection and Hurculean driving. Not sure if anyone's actually done it with the Toyota 7 (Missions 25-29) or the Jaguar XJ220 LMR (Pan Euro Championship) but I think it's doable.

For what it's worth the BMW McLaren F1 GTR can win against the right lineup, but it's an Extreme Hall prize car (GT All Stars) and you need to win the GTWC to enter the Extreme Hall.

BTW the DTM and the GTWC itself are IA license events. However, you don't need a license at all to B-Spec these events. But you're not going to win by B-Speccing a CLK-GTR, I'd wager.

Any cars we're forgetting here?
