True, but then again. Surely, PD realizes that they can't remain stagnant just because it's been enjoyable for the past 10 years...There has to be an improvement (whether that's in the # of manufacturers, gfx, features, etc.).
Besides, KY does want GT to be an automotive library. I would say that if KY were to buy this game, he might be disappointed himself if those marques aren't included.
Yeh, but there is improvement. a huge improvement in many of those things(gfx, features). it's not like PD don't want lamborghini and porsche. It's whether or not they CAN get them because of pre-existing contracts with other games that don't allow their licenses to be available. I'm sure theyre busting their balls trying to get such manafacturers but it's not just up to them.

I'd love to see Porsche and Lambo, because in every racing game I've played both these cars have a very unique feel and especially Porsche I always enjoy driving. Bugatti, eh, couldn't care less, I can't stand the Veyron. Maserati would be nice, but I'd take Porsche and Lambo before Maserati.

But I feel like they are going to get every last manufacturer you have ever heard of. They have the credibility to get the sponsors and I would expect around 700-800 cars in the game. Not every car ever made but all the classics, one of a kinds, concepts, supercars, sedans, minivans (maybe), SUV's, etc. I trust PD when it comes to racing games. They have never let me down and I doubt they will start with GT5.

I'm with arvin charles. How can they not be included? How have they not been added? What is stopping PD? Money?! Surely not. Just how not is the main question. SO MANY RACING GAMES HAVE IT AND THE "THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR" DOES NOT? That's comical. Of course the series doesn't live or die by these manufacturers, but it does not expand by that same token. Nearly 5 years in development and no advancements in adding these manufacturers...what have they been doing other than making PSP GO (lol).

I'm quite sure Lamborghini and Porsche want more money from PD to get their license then they want from spinoff or supbar racing game studios like EA or Turn 10.
They know how much Porsche and Lamborghini means to the game
If I'm not mistaken I think I remember someone from PD saying that some manufacturers want more money then all the other manufacturers combined to feature their cars in the game

if you're gonna go by that, then ill go with this notion : if you don't like it , don't buy the game. i certainly will even if they dont have those manafacturers and will still be enjoying every single minute of it.. to me, lambo and porsche would just be an extra bonus in GT

it doesent matter whether bugatti,porsche etc. will make into GT5 or not...what matters is Kaz and his team tried really hard to get the licenses from bugatti,lamborghini and so on....
But if that happens,atleast we get other 'uniqe' cars right?weell in my opinion..i know thats a little dissapointing,but what i want in GT5 is IMPROVEMENT.

Yes they are infleuntial cars, some of my favirotes actually. but having said that, I'm not gonna go all angry because they are not in there. if they are I'll be greatful. If they're not, iv got about another 800 cars to play with, I'm not gonna be "disapointed" because I still believe GT5 will be one of the greatest car/racing game/simulators out there and who can be disapointed by that? thats what i meant by bonus.

No one really knows, but im under the belief that they may and try to beat the amount of cars in GTPSP. heck.. 500 cars are plenty enough for me.

May I ask whats wrong with not necessarily feeling like Porsche and Lamborghini are essencial for GT5? People for some reason get a heart attack when someone says they will still buy the game even if they don't have said Marques. I myself also feel I don't need a certain manufacterer to enjoy GT so I feel the same way. I'll even go as far as saying who cares if they are there or not? I've gone through four games(technically 5) and ten years without complaining of their missing presence and I can go on a little longer. Its not gonna kill anyone so whats the fuss?

I catch what You are saying but the truth is that every one would like to see these super cars in GT5 even me ( I don't have much passion for them any how) but if they are not in GT5 there is not much we can do .
We could play the game and enjoy it without them or we could play the game and not enjoy it without them.

Personally i couldnt care, i prefer driving & tuning cars that are everyday cars that can be made into track beasts.
Suppose some people play these games to drive / buy cars they could not afford in real life but these type of cars i tend to ignore and do not excite me as there is never going to be even a slight possibility that i will own a lambo but a 400bhp EK9 Civic Type-r - now thats a possibility !
Anyway what happened to VENTURI (or whatever that supercar manufacturer was called) they were in GT2 or 3 cant remember and they looked like Lambo's. That would maybe help ones craving without Lamborghini making an appearance.

I dont know how someone who wants to play a racing simulator could be indifferent about Porsche and Lamborgini simply because they offer unique driving experiences. I'm not talking about the fact they are big brand names, I'm talking about how they actually perform. There's always something about a Porsche, if you put me in a good racing sim without telling me I'm in a Porsche, I could still tell you its a Porsche just because of the unique way they handle. I loved it in GTR1 and 2, no matter how much you tuned them to try and make them drive differently, they'd always still *feel* like a Porsche. Even though I've never driven one in real life

In my opinion these manufacturers would be a great addition. BUT any of you remember crying after Ferrari because it hasn't been in Gran Turismo? Now it doesn't feel any different driving a Ferrari than any other sports car. Maybe we should have something to whine about.

Exactly!..thats what i want in GT5, and turning a Street ****** car into a Racing Beast in all of its aspects (Engine, Aerodynamics, Chassis, Wheels and if Possible Interior Too), and to be honest thats the only thing i Envy From Forza.
About Supercars, they are fun and unique...and their sound is unique too so they are a must have, i dont mind not having lamborghini because now we have the high revving V8 and V12 sound from ferrari, but Porsche its another story..those cars have something special

There was a photo of a Maserati on GTPlanet. Polyphony Digital was recording the sound and taking pictures of the bodywork. So I think Maserati is in, KY also talked about Porsche in different interviews. I think Porsche is confirmed. I've nothing heard about Bugatti and I don't think Lamborghini is in either... I voted for: "I would be let down, but the show must go on." I mean, there are 1000 other cars, but it would be very nice to race in these cars and it's such a shame that other games like NFS an Forza do include Lamborghinis and Bugatti.

It will be great to have Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati, Bugatti in GT5, especially the racing models.
We must keep hope because in each new GT always appear new manufacturers, and is always possible that some of these supercars might come in GT5.
