How disappointed would you be if...

How upset would you be if Lambo, Porsche, Maserati and Bugatti don't appear in GT5?

Try leaving out two of the more famous NASCAR drivers from any NASCAR game, or heck, GT5. You'll live and cope with it, but you'll always wonder....why?

I don't really have super high expectations, just alot of "it would be nice if this was in" kind of wishes that have strangely come true as of late so I've really haven't had anything to wonder about.

we didn't have Porsche as a brand but what about RUF?? they are Porsche's only from an other compangie wich works very close with Porsche so we did have them in the GT games already!

You know, I prefer to be surprised if Porsche and Lamborghini made it in GT5--because I went batty when I saw Ferrari in the dealership menu (particularly the F40). :)

But aren't we forgetting some other manufacturers which have potential as nostalgic presence?

Though obscure, I'd say their presence is at the very least beneficial to the roster diversity.

But, as mentioned, I prefer to be surprised.

I voted they wouldn't be necessary for GT5. However, I would only be disappointed if Porsche didn't make it into the game :nervous: (that wasn't a poll option, so I decided to write it in my post). I don't care about the other three.

I think they add Porsche and Lamborghini to GT5, else it will be a bit weird. When you go to GT TV in GT5 Prologue and select ( I believe it was) BestMotoring, then you see a Lamborghini Murcielago and a Porsche 911 GT3 at the background image. In another trailer, introducing the 24h race at Nordschleife, there were Lambo-racecars driving on the track. So wouldn't there be a kind of a link? Let's hope!!! ;)

You know, I see so many posts about how GTP members obsessively collect & drive every car in GT games and how variety is what makes Gran Turismo. Yet, there are a number of posts on this very thread saying that these historical marques are NOT necessary or that they wouldn't be broken up about not having them...Are these the same people? It's a bit contradictory.

Personally, I'd be disappointed. Porsche and motorsport go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other.

Maserati has a rich heritage, they can't be ignored.

Same goes for Bugatti. Most people don't look past the Veyron and the EB110SS, but the Type 57 Atlantic most definitely deserves to be in GT.

Lamborghini's cars are the essence of supercars. No collection of cars (real or virtual) is complete without the Miura SV, Countach, Diablo, etc.

+1000. I can't live without racing a 997 GT2 against a 599GTB on the ring. I've suffered too long without Porsche. I will consider the game a failure if PD fails to secure the most revered marque in motorsport

The fact that nearly 3/4 (73.77%) would either be let down or want to see at least 2 of these manufacturers in the next game says a lot.

omg, I need to see an EB110SS...
and Miura SV
and a 928 S
and a Espada
and a Countach
and a 944
and a Maserati Bora
and a 400GT
and a 962
and a Diablo SV
O_O and a 959. The great contender of the Ferrari F40 and the Jaguar XJ220

Yes, I understand, but it's time to step up, PD, and add another manufacturer. RUF has shared some of its history and engineering with Gran Turismo, and now I believe it's Porsche's time to enjoy the spotlight and share with us its beautiful history.
