How I USED to make 5,000,000 credits/hour through Custom Races... using a Fiat. But not anymore.

Sorry I should have been more specific. The Arbrath 70 and Tomahawk VGT (spelling probably wrong) I did see in the comments on the video I seen on YouTube that they had all gold on circuit experience so maybe thats why mine is lower

I managed to get the bug to be a fast, safe and enjoyable car to drive on Nordschleife with this settings. Sub 7 min lap time.
Gear at 7800 rpm. Now it´s fun to grind. Works on all tracks, but the Ring and LeMans have best payoff. Sub 4 min on LeMans.View attachment 1301355View attachment 1301356View attachment 1301357View attachment 1301358View attachment 1301359View attachment 1301360View attachment 1301361View attachment 1301362
How many laps are you doing on LeMans?

How many laps are you doing? I'm getting just over 1,000,000 with 31 laps as it's more important for me to get the time right as I can't get back to my PS5 before 30 mins.

Also hitting the wall is ok, but hitting another car (or being hit) or exceeding track limits (over the yellow line) will cause you to lose the CRB. I've lost about 3 CRBs today's (1.5m!!) due to hitting the other cars.

I am using the Abarth 595 (1970) fitted with the Civic engine swap averaging 220 km/h and the Gran Turismo Red Bull X2019 Competition limited to 180km/h.

I get 7 laps in most the time. I can normally lift off but on RS I normally go for the fastest lap on the 7th lap

You need to use the Tomahawk X. It's the one with 2500hp.
Sorry maybe its that one. Its the fastest one of the game and I followed all the set up and track settings too

I do 4 laps, ca. 16 min. Trying to get down the time with different setting on the nitro.
On the No chicane versjon I´m down to 3.30min lap time.
I love the no chicane version I will definitely try that

I made some changes to someone's Beetle setup, and the result is 535,800 Cr in 5 mins 40. 37.4/37.5 laps without slipstream.

Porsche engine swap. No widebody. Settings are at the end. It's 9 laps because you run out of nitrous as you enter the trioval at the end of lap 9.

Love it, fun to drive too, I set the Tommy’s to be competitive for the first half of the race haha

Taking inspiration from others I’ve managed to perfect my “rubber-banding” using Lego, a bluray, double brake pedal and playing cards from the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas*

All in all it's just a 'nother Abarth on the wall. 😄 ;)
A thousand likes :)

Any tips for those who aren't 50 yet? Is there a similar configuration that works?
Still TBD. It shouldn't take long to test it, just requires someone who isn't level 50 to try. The principle is simply that the lower the base pp of the car you use, the higher the reward. Tune up a low pp car and test it on a lap vs fully janked Tomahawks/Red Bulls. If easy, you can try a lower pp car.

I think the payouts will be much worse either way though. You get a boost to rewards for being level 50 and you'll do slower laps/race time without an engine swap, which will reduce overall efficiency. Worth testing though, if you're not 50 yet. Someone just has to step up and do it, for science!

I’ve borrowed this tune and setup, then bought 3x additional Tomahawks each in different colours and dropped the top speed to the minimum, and set race length at 25 laps.

Add 10KMH to the top speed of one colour, 20KMh to another & 30KMH to the last.

Put the fastest car as the first 5 grid spots, 2nd fastest as the next 5, 3rd fastest as the last 5, and 4th fastest as the last 4.

This way you have plenty of buffer to the rest of the pack so it doesn’t matter if you make a mistake. And instead of coming across one giant pack of slow moving cars trying to pass each other when you lap them, you’ll come across 4 packs of around 5 cars, politely sitting behind each other and out of your way.

It makes that sweet CRB much easier to achieve and should pay its 3 million investment back relatively quickly :)

As I can see from the pictures, many of you have tilted the controllers too much, there is no need to turn that much, you are just rubbing the wall harder and losing speed. You can set it up to have the red dot literally just outside of the gray center dot, you won't lose so much speed and still you can avoid hitting the tomahawks :)

I've got it set to 5 of the markers to the right of the centre dot. It's slower than less steering, but there are places where the car is only just squeezing through the gap between wall and Tomahawk, and I feel it's less likely to hit one with more steering towards the wall. Virtually never losing the CRB is worth more IMO than completing each race a little bit faster.

Again, you don't need to be level 50; that's just for buying engines and taking luck out of the equation.

You can win engines through Six-Star Roulette Ticket (Engine) and there's four or five of those available as Extra Menu Book rewards. You'll still need to be lucky, but there's... like, eight engines you can use for similar results and as a stopgap until you are level 50 and have the freedom to buy the engine you want.

But you don't need engine swaps either. It works with any car that has a low standard PP value against a field of any car that has a high standard PP value. All you need to do is hobble the tyres and gearing of the high-PP car so that it's slower than a low-PP car which is tuned to the tits.

The swapped Abarth/Beetle/whatever against Tomahawks is simply the most time-efficient way, because that's an incredibly low PP car as standard tuned to beat the maximum PP as standard cars.

When you've got enough money and the right engine (which you can buy at CL50) you can switch the the most time-efficient ways.

Yep, you're right, I just had the wrong settings for the cars.
Using 10x NoS multiplier and taping the nitro button works like a charm. I'm getting 1:10-1:11 times with a non-engine swapped 500PP abarth. Nitro was enough for 20 laps.
