How I USED to make 5,000,000 credits/hour through Custom Races... using a Fiat. But not anymore.

Yep, you're right, I just had the wrong settings for the cars.
Using 10x NoS multiplier and taping the nitro button works like a charm. I'm getting 1:10-1:11 times with a non-engine swapped 500PP abarth. Nitro was enough for 20 laps.
Nice work, and what sort of payout are you getting?

Finding the clean race bonus impossible to get
My tip is to set the spacing in the race options to be 100ft or 33m, something like that.

That way the Tomahawks are too far away from each over to try moves or draft and so they just form an easy line for you to pass. This also stops them from crashing into each other potentially causing chaos.

You're doing something wrong, I'm getting it at least 9 races out of 10 with the car driven AFK around the wall. I've got it solidly lapping around 51.3 with the nitrous set at 10% / 10x, which is lasting for a 30 minute / 34 lap race.

I'm not using nitrous in the Abarth - doing 1 min laps for 31 laps. I need to adjust my Red Bull x 2019s as I am catching them towards the end of the race, currently set to 240km/h I think so might set them to 245km/h to see if that helps but I'm getting CRB pretty consistently now

Maybe I'm doing something wrong/ different...
A) Abarth 595 SS with engine swap + fully upgraded after. Sport Medium tyres in front, Race Softs in rear. 200kg ballast and balanced to 50/50.
B) RedBull X2019 competition with transmission modified and rigged for low speeds as per instructions from various sources, ECU and Power Restrictor set at 70, CH tyres all around.
C) set up custom race at Daytona Tri-Oval as per instructions, spread the interval to max to prevent the opponents from bunching up. Set for 26 laps average time is 21 minutes in length. With 400% payout and CRB i get 1.5 million.

It's a better payout for less time than i have done before.
Will post setups upon request (but there are so many here already)

I'm wondering how many credits is enough...

I'm not aware of any easy way to make a list of which legendary cars I don't have? I can check the highest value ones easily enough I suppose. I know I have most of the legendary cars, e.g. all of them that are currently available.

I know the total cost of all the cars is a little under 500m, from the thread about that. I think the game tells you somewhere what the total value of your cars is, so allowing for some duplicates, I could take the difference and allow a bit of a margin.

Now that I will be able to buy the unicorn cars (>10 Million Cr.) I use the car index in the garage. The list should conveniently be sorted the same way as GTPlanet's car list.

Well that depends on what your looking to achieve.

Do you wanna own 1 of every car or multiple of every car?

To see which LCD cars you already have you can use the UCD car selling feature and this post by Eggstor.

Just came in here to thank @hyperspeed980 for discovering this exploit, and everyone else who's been sharing tips and tunes. I've been thoroughly enjoying grinding using this exploit, as I don't even need to set up my wheel to get my daily ticket and some healthy credits. I can even watch other people stream themselves suffering through Master Licences while I earn 4 million per hour! The Abarth 595 is now one of my most used cars, when I absolutely LOATHED it back when I drove it for Car of the Week!

I'm nearing 30 million as I write this, and I finally feel ready to buy the last unicorn I'm missing, one of the 20 mil Ferraris. I also feel a lot more free to explore other cars and races. It's truly amazing how a small tweak to the game's economy can make it feel entirely fresh and different to me.

Again, thanks to everyone for their contribution! I don't know if PD will ever patch out custom races to take current PP over stock PP when calculating earnings, but I have a feeling I will still be doing this even if they do.

Random Q that I've probably missed, but how are people making use of nitrous when away from the console? I can't work out how you're keeping the nitrous button pressed with the rubber band :P

Pictures may be necessary for my caveman brain :D

Map it to a button that the band presses on. You can cross it over the R1 shoulder button, for example, to create pressure and therefore activation.

I just completed a script that is working nicely. I used PSRemotePlay 5.5 with PS4Macro.

The issue is I accidentally updated to version 6 and I had to wait for this video that came out today on how to fix it.

Here’s an earlier one on how to run the PS4Macro and how to record your own script.

Does this only work with a PS4 Controller?
I have a PS5 and doesn´t have a PS4 Controller

Yep, L1 for Nitrous, R2 for gas, and motion control for steering. A couple rubber bands and you are good to go.

I fined tuned the Tommy tranny so they stay half a lap behind me for an entire 32 lap race.

1: 5.270/85
2: 5.270/85
3: 3.413/132
4: 2.670/169
5: 2.670/169
6: 1.620/279
7: 1.620/289
Final: 4.500

Only downside is that it takes the first 2-3 laps to overtake them with nitrous as they run at about 185mph. It seemingly takes them 9 laps to get to full speed and when they do I end up losing a very small time gap between them on the banked turns riding the wall without nitrous, but I end up making it back up on the straights without nitrous.

You can use a tool called reWASD to remap a PS5 controller to a PS4 one. It's worth the $7. Cheaper than buying a new controller.

That's what I'm using. I already had nitrous mapped to R1 anyway, as that's what I use for boost in Rocket League where it's really helpful to not have it on one of the right thumb buttons so you're using two separate digits for jump and boost. It seems best for muscle memory to keep these things as similar as possible across different games. I always have handbrake on L1 for the same reason.

Nice work, and what sort of payout are you getting?
So for anyone who is not level 50 yet (I'm now!! Whoo!!) this was my method:
  • Maxed out Abarth with Nitrous, nothing else changed
  • Tomahawks crippled as in naffantait's video
  • Rubber band the gas and nitro buttons, motion control tilt VERY SLIGHTLY!! Since it usually reaches 150-180km/h, you need the smallest tilt.
1 lap time with NoS is 1:10, without NoS is 1:32. 26 laps net you around 860k (+CRB which you always get) in around 33 minutes.
Thank you everyone! I'm off to the swa(m)pland!

Are you using this setup? I download reWASD but I don´t know what to do.
I use version 5.5 of PSRemotePlay with PS4Macro and reWASD.

Setup of all of it is pretty convoluted, particularly v5.5 of remote play. Check the video I linked to above on that. Regarding reWASD there is a preset for PS5 mapping to PS4 within it. It has to be switched on for it to work. I don't remember exactly how I did it. I seem to remember it took me some hours to figure it out when I first got it. For now it just works so I don't tend to think about it.

Basically, I have reWASD to run in the background. I start PSRemotePlay and then start PS4Macro (PSremotePlay has to be running first so that PS4Macro can hook into it). Once you start your PS session, you should have your controller connected by USB to the computer and reWASD, if on, will remap commands to PS4 compatible. If this is working then PS4Macro will allow you to record and play back macros. If it does not detect a PS4 enabled controller then the steps will not run in the macro.

Sorry, can't be much more help, it was 10 months ago when I set it all up and I'm getting old and my memory is not what it used to be... :D

At current prices (including the known September changes in Hagerty's and the "zero-mileage/special picks" prices for the used cars that last appeared as such, but not the unknown price increase slated for the 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM), the 489 purchasable cars go for a total of 534,284,455 Cr.

That dashboard value of the worth of the garage is, like the remainder of the totals on the dashboard, a bit off.
