How I USED to make 5,000,000 credits/hour through Custom Races... using a Fiat. But not anymore.

Curious what setup you're using for the scripted runs? Or what I should ask - does it work nonstop, or does it fail after some time and you have to reset it?

Reason I'm asking, is because I've doing some testing with Remote Play v5.5 and PS4Macro, and while it works well while I watch it, after I've left it alone for a few hours, it gets thrown off somewhere, for some reason, and when I come back to it it's out in the menu or similar, like it has missed or done the wrong input somewhere.

Case in point: Last night I tried for the second time to run it overnight - I make my own script (Abarth without swap, not lvl 50 yet), with safe margins for when I set it to press X to continue and so on (I've done a couple of scripts before this, having seen some point of failures to watch out for). I watch it run 15+ races without problem, and leave it overnight.

Today when come back to it, its in the replay menu doing who knows what - the script is still running, but obviously been thrown off somewhere. I can see it has accrued around 3.3m CR total, so it must have been working for 50+ races (I make about 56k per race), but then failed somehwere. I estimate it has been working for under 2 hours total before it failed..

Any tips or input would be lovely 😄 I am just so curious to figure out whats wrong, more than I care about the CR, haha
Did you get your Daily Marathon before starting the script?
I found out that the Daily Marathon reward makes it stop working.
My Script started to make Screenshots instead of restart the race.

How ist your script setup? I only got it working with one single lap but that is not very efficent because the time in the menu ist too long so that I could only make approx. 1.8 Million per hour.

If anybody have a efficent way with the script I would appreciate every tip.

Kaz we want B-Spec!

But we have B-Spec at home.

With this grind I find the PS4Macro approach to be much more sensitive that the prior grind.

One thing that helped me is to use the Beetle as opposed to the Fiat. You get the same money but at a slightly slower rate but the car is more stable.

I discovered yesterday in race settings that there is a switch to enforce identical race settings (I forget what it is called). Switch that on and it supposedly removes some of the variability between races in track conditions, weather etc, all of which can affect your grind from one session to the next.

How are you doing that? If I try to change the spacing it just becomes locked at 15m.

This has been a bug since release day - the custom race rolling start distance slider only works if your units are in metric, not imperial.
Not on my system, I use imperial and I do not have the spacing locked, I've got it at maximum and with the RB X2014 standard transmission whacked you can see the spacing in video I posted last night above...

Okay, so as of right now, my new script is running for over two and a half hours without issue - the main thing I changed was to change my controller settings to use the D-pad for turning, instead of the left stick. Not sure yet if that makes any difference in the long run, but if it lasts another 30 minutes or so, it has the highest success rate I've had yet.

And yes, I hade made sure that my Daily marathon was completed before I ever ran a script.

My setup is basically Abarth with all racing mods (but still stock engine), Sport Soft front tires, Race soft rear tires, with racing aero set to about 45/65 front and rear downforce, mostly to just stabilize the car a bit without hurting the top speed too much. Using NOS, so I hit about 230 km/h at most (I've set the transmission up manually).

Racing against Tomahawk X VGT's, spaced out to 45 meters I think it was. I only do 1 lap at a time, then the script chooses Retry on the end screen after the race and then loops. Force equal conditions is on, but not sure if that affects anything other than weather, which is set to "nice clear" anyway.

At the start of the race, I steer the car towards the right wall, and gently (as gently as I can with the D-pad) let it start scraping the wall, then intermittently tap the right on the D-pad to keep it against the wall, but without "hammering" into it. Using the NOS shortly after the race start (when I am clear from hitting the car in front of me).

Also, I was under the impression you had to have the Remote Play window in focus for it to work, but as I am using Chrome to type this post as the game is running on another monitor, I guess you don't have to give up your PC entirely to use it, which is great! 😁

My adorable little script has been farming for 2 days now:lol: 100 million feels good lmao
Did you create the script yourself? I've been trying to make my own for the beetle and it simply will not work. When I enable the macro after I record my race. The car is simply out of sync within a few seconds. Any tips or suggestions? Thank you

That’ll likely be network latency. How are you connected to the internet? Is using a net cable possible?

So I ended my "Abarth D pad" script manually because I thought I had enough CR to reach level 50... but nope, how the everliving **** did you guys reach level 50 without grinding? I mean I have 150 cars, I have all cars from getting gold on all licenses, all Menus, Missions etc (not the last mission category though), but yeah, I have MOST prize cars. I've bought a load of expensive cars lately, yet still not 50.

To lock engine swaps and Ultimate mods behind collector level 50 is baffling. I have zero shame script grinding credits in this game, because this is ridiculous.

Anyway, I managed to get a M62 swap for the Beetle, so I am now running that with a new script as I type this, so now I've cut down the time to complete a lap a bit. Guess I'll do a couple more million, reach 50, swap the Abarth and let it run.

hmmm - I'd be interested to know your ping. I'm pretty sure PS Remote play HAS to use the internet which is very irritating if you're out in the sticks
No. If you have the 5.5 version and don't upgrade when it says you should, it throws a message saying using local network. Basically, version 5.5 will not use the internet and only works local as far as I can tell.

Interesting. I'm on 6.5 so will disconnect my fibre connection when I can and test but I've used every version of the app and it's always gone via the internet. There's a few discussions on reddit but no definitive answer. I'm interested in how the new remote PS device works too

I made some changes to someone's Beetle setup, and the result is 535,800 Cr in 5 mins 40. 37.4/37.5 laps without slipstream.

Porsche engine swap. No widebody. Settings are at the end. It's 9 laps because you run out of nitrous as you enter the trioval at the end of lap 9.

I copied everything but my POS won't steer, it jist goes straight. 0 clue as to why...

Did you drop your ride height to the bottom?, if so raise it up, your tyres are hitting the insides of your front fenders and are impeding your steering.

Yeah that fixed it, thanks a lot. I still don't understand how that person can steer with those settings. On top of that I not even reaching that top speed, It's like I'm playing GT6 or something.

Yeah, using D-pad for steering when doing the script seems to work way better, still haven't had a single misstep after doing three scripts with it.

Also, the Beetle with engine swap seems about as fast as the Abarth, but more stable for wall riding. My entire loop with race + menus for restarting now takes almost exactly 1m30s.

Is there a script out there to download? i have no idea how to write one … rubberbands are more on par with my “tech” skills 😊😊

This glitch came in handy as I no longer have as much free time as I used to; so far i've made $13,000,000 today alone, that's the most i've ever made in one day even with the Tomahawk glitch from a year ago as I quickly get burnt out from grinding. Just incase they remove the glitch at some point I will try to get to $100,000,000 before sunday as there are quite a few cars i'd like to purchase + multiples of a few of the legends cars.

If you're like me and enjoy doing time trials but want financial incentive to do it, the nerf'd tomahawk X can be used for it... in a way that is. Set up a custom race on the track of your choice and set laps to 3 (so if you get bored with a car you don't have long to drive). Then set opponents to just 1 and make sure you have the tomahawk's gearing set to the shortest possible ratios so the Tommy will go really slow around turns effectively allowing you to use almost any car in the game and still win with around 40-200k depending on your bonus percentage level and base PP of your chosen car.

Of course, it doesn't make as much money as doing the setup in the OP but at least you can now time trial with a payout. :)

I've been playing GT7 through Chiaki4Deck on my Steam Deck and have had some success simply setting some unused buttons on the back to toggle the right trigger on and auto-fire left stick left at the slowest possible rate (which is still quite fast) on SSRX, only thing is there's like a 60% chance that coming out of the final turn you'll get bounced straight at the pit wall. Even if I fix that I don't think I'll ever be able to fully automate it this way just because the start of the race is kind of unpredictable - I set the Tomahawks to the lowest speed possible yet they all pull away from me until the first corner, then slow right down so the angled bit of wall just before the first turn might shoot me across their path and then you just have to awkwardly skim the outside wall and hope. Also I don't think there's a way to set up a macro to send button presses on a timer to restart the race.

Still, being able to watch TV while the game semi-automatically grinds for me on my lap is better than nothing. I also appreciate the fact that the custom race payout finally made my stupid maxed out Copen relevant for something because that can do Tsukuba in just over a minute (on SS tyres) and can net about a million in 21 minutes or so, the only problem is needing to lap 19 super wide cars every third time round the narrow circuit without touching them.

I've never done any grinding as such before now, just played the game however I wanted, but I had level 50 ages ago. I got the game when it released. I would often make 5-10m just experimenting with a single car for the Tokyo WTC 600 race in the past when you never lost the clean race bonus. I pretty much stopped playing the game when they made it so you lost the clean race bonus for that race when an AI hits you. The game says I've acquired 463m credits, of which around 100m is now from the Daytona custom race. I've even repeated some of the mission races multiple times with no payout at all for those hour long races.

Do you have it engine swapped and fully upgraded, same power etc as in the vid? If you do, maybe check the gearing.

You don't write one :) With PS4Macro, there a very simple UI - you click record and play to record any inputs you do, then just click stop and disable the record button. Then to repeat everything, just click play. And save the script in case it works well and you want to reuse it. It's veeery simple :)
Can you use the ps4 macro with 6.5? I thought you can only use 5.5 because I’m having issues with it.
No, from version 6 and up Remote Play has a anti-hook protection (PS4Macro "hooks" on to the Remote Play app to take over the controller input), so 5.5 or lower is needed. Also, PS4Macro only works with the PS4 controller, as the name suggests 😄

Yeah I got the game at launch as well, only reason I got a PS5 haha. But since the game really didn't feel great when it came out, I stopped playing after about 20 hours total playtime. Came back now in October, and of course the game is a lot better, but I was like collector level 20-something, heh..

Here's another drivable car/tune.

The JEEP. 45/46s laps without hitting wall.

I don't know why it works on your system, but I just changed mine from imperial to metric and changing the spacing now works, though only after exiting the race and creating the custom race again. I also saw a YouTube video where changing the spacing wasn't working for them either, so many people seem to have it not working.

This is a weird one,im on metric setting and if I try to change spacing more than 20m it goes to 15m.

Looks like PD have caught on. I'm not upset about it though - this is something I've been talking about for a while now. Seems the payouts and grids will finally align properly with our tuned car's PP.
