How I USED to make 5,000,000 credits/hour through Custom Races... using a Fiat. But not anymore.

Of course PD would patch it, or attempt to. They seem contempt to do whatever is possible to ruin people's fun.
It's complicated, because it has actually been a flaw in the game since day one (you try to set up a custom race with a tuned car, and you get much slower cars as opponents). This flaw also carries over to the new quick race feature.

But PD have probably only just noticed it since people have started exploiting it en masse.

It still won't ruin the exploit, just reduce the payout.

As mentioned in a previous post, I've got a PS5/Dual Sense macro that is working almost flawlessly. It runs 27 laps in approximately 23 mins 20 secs. The full macro takes 24 mins 25 secs, which works out to $3.94M per hour. With all of that said, you can't account for every bit of randomness that can happen in these races. Ive come back to my car spinning circles, and upon revisiting the replay there was a 5 Tomahawk pileup on the first lap that wiped me out. All that means is you still need to keep an eye on it every few hours if possible. However, this can generate $47.2M in 12 hours/$94.5M in 24 hours, so you won't really need to babysit for too long.

First and foremost, this was created using the PS5 Dualsense macro. If you want to replicate this on your PS5/PC, you need to follow the instructions here to get it installed and working with RemotePlay. Whether or not this can be converted to a PS4 macro is beyond me...I only recall seeing a tool to convert PS4 macros to PS5.

Macro XML can be found here.

New version of the XML can be found
here. Added in some additional buffer to account for engine degradation. With this new version, it's best to do an engine overhaul/restore rigidity every $100M or so (oil can be ignored). I could've added in additional buffer, but the car REALLY slows down when everything is worn out, so it's best to just spend the 60 seconds to fix it up.

The Imgur album with all of the setup screenshots can be found here.

A couple of bits of info:
  1. My Abarth oil/engine/body are all "Bad", and there is no issue keeping it this way as it removes some of the randomness that is difficult to accommodate with macros.
  2. Setting the Tomahawk 7th gear at 245km was the sweet spot for how I was approaching this. This allows you to get around them in the first lap, but never have to worry about encountering them again (outside of said 5 Tomahawk pileups mentioned above)
  3. Make sure you have your transmission set to AUTO and set traction control to 1. I'd also suggest disabling force feedback and rumble. Everything else depends upon the default button mapping/
All you need to do is load the race, get to the start screen, and make sure the arrow is on the "Start" button (as shown in the last image of the Imgur album), then click the play button on the Playstation Macro tool. It should run from there. You can refer to the Imgur album to find a video of what the first lap should look like.

EDIT: One additional tip, consider running this tool to spoof the RemotePlay version on your computer. This will prevent it from asking you to update, and will get rid of the login prompts, which get VERY annoying.

EDIT2: Added TCS info to bullet point 3 above, and added a new version of the XML. I was able to run this new version through the night, 27 races, CRBs the entire way, netting $43M+

Yeah that fixed it, thanks a lot. I still don't understand how that person can steer with those settings. On top of that I not even reaching that top speed, It's like I'm playing GT6 or something.
I believe it is a "wall riding " setup for this glitch run

Well thats a joke. Here is the AHK script i developed based off the old one by Septomor:

  1. gt7, ps5 required
  2. download chiaki v2.2, install
  3. double click your ps5 in chiaki
  4. use this to get your psn id in base64, enter in chiaki -> https://psn.flipscreen.games/
  5. go to ps5 settings, remote play, link device, itll show the pin, enter pin in chiaki
  6. download autohotkey v1.1 deprecated version
  7. download my script from pastebin. Save it into a .ahk file.
  8. map nos to L1, accel R2, steering Left stick. Set units to metric kph.
  9. get in tomahawk car, tune to setup screenshot, make sure ballast 200kg -50 position, 70 power output
  10. setup custom race at daytona tri oval, 20cars, start pos 20, 26 laps, Start Type - Rolling Start, Boost off, weak sliptstream, max out the rolling start interval, Nitrous Usage Time Multiplier: 10x, custom opponents from garage (it should fill up with tomahawks), Rival Difficulty - Professional Level -> save this as a race setup for later use. it should state 1.031M cr for winning.
  11. get in your abarth 595, K20 eng swap, fully tune it except bumpers/spoilers. tune it as per screenshots.
  12. go setup the custom race at daytona tri oval again, load the race setup saved from step 9
  13. start the race, pause the race, hover over retry
  14. open the script file, set to pixel option
  15. hit start
  16. you should get 1.5M with clean race bonus every time, about 4.5M/hour. laptimes should be ~48s
  17. Set tc1View attachment 1302227View attachment 1302229View attachment 1302226View attachment 1302228

Tried this and works fine until the the replay screen. Instead of restart it goes to replay. How do I solve this?

Not my script, but from experience this is almost always because there is not enough buffer built in at the end of the race. I'm not well-versed on chiaki so unfortunately I can't give you a more direct answer than that. You can try to make your Abarth faster via tuning (if it's not already maxed out) which would likely circumvent the issue, but that's just a hunch.

Looks like PD have caught on. I'm not upset about it though - this is something I've been talking about for a while now. Seems the payouts and grids will finally align properly with our tuned car's PP.
Not surprised but I will circumvent this by getting to $100,000,000 credits, purchasing 2-3 copies of 10-20 million cr cars and just repeating until it's patched out, that way I will still have a way to get a bunch of credits quickly without having to grind.

Hopefully the patch doesn't come too soon.

It's probably because it makes Quick Race more annoying if you're using a tuned car, and this is a "new" feature of Spec II they don't want bad press on. I don't think Polyphony care about custom races too much.

That, or transmission and suspension settings will factor into PP once more.

Most likely, both.

Expanding on this, I've been doing some digging and it seems the Honda RA272 might be the best current purchase in the Legends list in terms of resale value. Price is $2.5M and resale is between $1.3M and $1.8M. Next best appears to be the Jag XJ13, which sells for $12M and can be resold between $6.3M and $8.4M. Both represent a +70% resale potential. I speculated earlier that maybe the XJ13 could see a price increase with its next appearance, so I'll actually be stocking up on it. I also would rather not have to go through the buy process 40 times for the Honda, vs 8 times for the Jag.

For the Tomahawk X, it's both. Aero is reduced, but also engine power is increased. Doesn't explain how they can exceed the transmission's limits.
engine rpm is the limiting factor with any transmission setting. the transmission will only spin as fast as the motor can turn it. maybe you get more revs with the p2p active so you would also get a higher top speed.

Nah, they changed those for a reason. I genuinely think it will just make it so the game reads the current pp instead of the stock pp for basic calculations and it's job done. It solves any issues they are having.
If the goal is, as most of us think, to absolutely destroy this money-making venture, they'll have to re-introduce at least transmission settings. Upthread, @breeminator tested this out with a stock Toyota Alphard to simulate correcting the PP calculation on the tuned Abarth, and was still able to get nearly 900,000 Cr. for a 24-minute race.
Can it be done with a cheap car with no engine swap?
Yes, but not for nearly the max credits those with the engine-swapped "weaklings" get with maxed-out Daytona Circuit Experience and Collector Level.

I don't personally think that their goal here is primarily to destroy money making. I'm sure it's something they want to fix, but I think the key word there is 'fix' as opposed to destroy.

I have seen more posts here and elsewhere calling Sophy rubbish than I have with most other features in Spec 2 - and I think that is because so many people are taking in overpowered or tuned cars, beating her to a pulp, and thinking she's a load of crap. With all the resources and focus put into developing and marketing Sophy, I think it's a safe bet that is their priority - and as payouts are worked out the same way, they too fall in line.

But it's all just a hunch. We shall see.

So I messed with my gearing and now I screwed it up. Obviously I am not a tuner. Lol. Why did I mess with it!!!? My Abarth was really fast and now it barely gets out of second gear. Is the gearing in the first setup on the first page still the best for wall riding? Or is there better gearing for wall riding. Previously I was getting 55-58 sec laps on its own. Now they’re in the 1:04+ range. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

This doesn’t mean anything, key word future update, as per other glitches is not a game breaker for them to change it over night, we still got until the next update for them to fix it so enjoy it this while it lasts 🤣🤣. A million per every 12 minute ain’t bad.

dude.. thank you!!!!!1! finally a script that works... I've been trying to make my own for days now... I'm running this with an Abarth without the engine swap because I'm not level 50 yet.. it's working. Just giving me issues after the race is over and restart it but this is better than what I was working on. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have enough credits to buy cars to get me to level 50 and do the swap.. then grind for a few days to create a surplus. Going to be doing this from work as well, just sucks I have to baby sit it because I dont have the swap and i have to baby sit the script during the beginning and end of the race, but for now this is fine.

EDIT: Made it to 50!! got the swap!! now trying to automate this to afk. The old remote play version lags so much on my home network, the new version on my laptop works flawless even over wifi

off course they're going to nerf it now that I found out and have some time to play.

But it just doesn't work for me to just let it race on its own...

1. using even less stuff to put under the controller (motion steering as suggested), it still steers way to much because I just loose speed and the tomahawks start to catch up
2. 9 out of 10 times somewhere along the way the car just suddenly bounces of the wall going onto the midfield and crashing

I'm using the settings of the very first post and also tried the ones using the VW Bug... out of 15 tries I had 3 full payouts of 1.1 mil, 2 were i did not get the CRB and all the others just failed near the end resulting in absolutely nothing.

1. Try put something smaller under the controller, I have something like 5-10% left steering and works perfectly.

2. I do lose clean race bonus very often probably because sometimes AI do drive to close to wall on straights. Once I even had huge crash because of that, but it isn't too often.
