I'm 25, and I've been playing GT since the Gran Turismo 2 days. I was introduce to the series when I went to funcoland to return Wu Tang fighting game. In exchange, I ended up with GT2 and to that day on I fell in love with the series.


I remember getting my 67 Shelby and how amazing it was on the track. Ahhh the memories

For all you that aren't even 21 yet, you all must mean you have played GT1. GT1 came out in 1997 which would make you like 6 back then. If so, you started pretty early. You probably shift in your sleep by now,lol.

I'm 17 right now, I have played all the GT games (not in the order they were released though) I was given GT1 whenever I got a PS1 in about 2001. Probably a year later I got GT2. I was still only about 9 years old, and I didn't completely understand gaming, racing and simulators, but I absolutely loved GT1 & 2!

It wouldn't be until 2006 when I finally got a PS2 and GT4 for my birthday. I spent about 3 years on that game (combined with other games like the earlier CoD's and the 2001 official WRC game)

In early 2009 I finally got bored of the PS2 after completing GT4 to the best of my ability, and bought myself a PS3 with GT5rologue (at the same time I joined GTPlanet ). My second PS3 game was Call of Duty: World at War and I got Modern Warfare 2 not long after, so Gran Turismo sort of took a back seat at that point. I'd played the games to death anyway

After hearing that GT5 would be released in March 2010 (yeah right lol), I started to get impatient and desperately needed my fix of Gran Turismo. I Bought myself GT3 (the only one I didn't own at the time) and loved it. I didn't put as much time into it as I did with the others because I got bored with it rather quickly, it was about 8 years old after all!

After the March release had past, I was crying out for more Gran Turismo. I even bought myself an old PSP3000 and GTPSP (which was actually suprisingly good). GT3&4, GT5rologue and GTPSP all kepd me busy until I got GT5 (release day delivery =P) and I haven't put it down since!


If you read all of this, you may have noticed that I was quite a few years behind playing most of the games. Unfortunately I live in a small village in central England, and didn't even have a reliable internet connection until about 2007 (the internet out here is still rage inducingly slow ) . As a result of this I have lead a pretty sheltered life for many years and have only recently (since about 2008) been up to date with gaming news at all .

I'm 26 and have been playing since GT1 on a friend's original PS. We upgraded to analog controllers when GT2 came out. I bought GT3 in 2003 and played on my roommate's fat PS2, and in 2004 I bought a slim PS2 and GT4. I've played with a wheel since GT4 (originally a Logitech Momo wheel that only worked for the wheel & pedals, still had a controller for everything else), then a DFGT, and a Logitech G27 for the past year.

28 here, missed Gt1 as i'd bought a PSx and then sold it and as i remember GT1 only came out after that! Of course i went back and bought GT1 and have run it on bleem and x number of things on my PC. I bought GT2 and GT3 A spec. I also bought GT4 too..missed out on all the inbetween Pro Logues except for GT5 as that was decent.

I'm 30 and didn't start with GT until GT4 as I was a Sega man and didn't have a PS2 until like 2003 or 4ish (I don't remember exactly).

I of course grew up on old racers like Pole Position etc, but in terms of my next gen system days I had them all Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Touring Car, F355 Challenge, etc. And of course PC Racers like Indy Car, Grand Prix, etc.

I just remember at Uni, buying a JPN PS2 and JPN GT3 A spec getting pretty far, selling it off for a profit and then buying a UK PS2 and PAL GT3 and sitting around in the halls of residence doing endurance race and passing the pad between a few incapable friends to try and maintain some kind of co ordinated effort.
