My Corvette is on 750 :sly:

In my personal opinion,

lowering your PP to get a higher spot on the start grid in a pre arranged race, like we do with the GTP and GTRP forums,is an absolute shame.

Lowering the PP shows no respectto your own fellow forum members and the members of friendly forums.

We,addict racers, are good enough to have full PP.đź‘Ť

Of course some/many may disagree or agree with me but,I said this before, how strange will it look when you enter a private room with your lowered PP car?

Please don't use the argument we have at the moment no private rooms.
There are races I enter with 10 or more known racers.

Sjaak.

I've been running my Vette at 750 for the past couple weeks. Though I usually finish somewhere around 3rd-4th on a full grid (usually behind the GTLM pack), and often start from 6th-12th, I've learned a lot about racing in traffic and passing cleanly as a result. I've learned far more than I would have by starting at the front and leading the whole way.

I also get punted off track about 1/3 of the time, and then the challenge is to see how much of the field I can overhaul before the end. Without the boost, this would be a pointless exercise, but as it stands, it's a good chance for more practice setting up clean overtakes.

As for the GTLMs: my free run time is about 2 seconds faster than my Vette time. However, it's a tricky car to drive, and due to lift off oversteer, it can be a real handful in traffic. I've no doubt that I could win or compete for the win in virtually every race if I ran with this car instead of my preferred Vette, but I also wouldn't learn nearly as much.

wouaf wouaf nissman:dopey:

and no prob with a face to face with same car no tuned:sly:
with friends we try a little challenge :audi tt 3.2 mode arcade timeattack ( no tuned:sly:) mode pro....if u wanna test, let's go:)
i know that it's not same qualitys between online races (no mistakes is allowed , here the difference...) and timeattack which is not my speciality:ouch:

and try gtlm...very easy mate:)

Thanks for the challange, but i am rather spend my time in suzuka racing with you guys great fun ,but still man the GTLM is the fastest car in the game if know how to drive it.

how about you try driving a GTLM and being as fast or faster than you are in one of those normal cars?

The cars outclasses the other cars no doubt, but the skill and concentration required to keep the car on the road and actually be fast with it is a lot more demanding than driving an s2k or a vette. I have the utmost respect for GTLM drivers.

The same respect here, this is just my way of trying to get you big players of this game in some other cars so that i could sometimes finish in front of you.LOL

Ok, I want to make this really clear as I don't want people to have this impression of me...my tyres are R3, weight set to min, aero set to max, power is at -30 and that gives me 749PP. It's not some trick to get to the front...quite frankly the further forward I start the more I get battered around and punted.

This is the tune I have modified the gears on...
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3118387&postcount=68

You can clearly see, it's 749PP.

All the best

Oh really? so its better to set it to 750 where your chances of being punted increases by 10 fold? Going by this logic its also a shameful and disrespectful to race with TCS on. Is it not?

To be honest i think the only reason some GTP'ers hate the GTLM is because its a lot more difficult to drive than the other tuned cars, if most of them could get good setup and was able to pilot it properly the grid would look like a one make race, just my 0.02.

edit: you can always catch me in at suzy in an s2k if u want to race "normal" cars.

IF RUDI GETS A GOOD SETUP FOR THE GTLM I QUIT.:nervous:

Don't really think so... Maybe some prefer to have a different challenge like we had with the Elise or the GT06 or the f599 (don't tell me the f599 is easier to drive than the GTlm ;) ) :sly:

Nissman totally agree you, the GTLM car has an advantage over any car in the field bar non. I will sum it up like this, Iv had max tyres and downforce on my Viper, vette, lotus etc and the GTLM's keep up with me in the turns. Note im not going slow and im pushing hard and a few drivers might back me up on im fast enough. Then i hit the straight and the GTLM's come passed me little standing still. Yet when im behide them i can barely keep in the slipstream. So if you wanna win Yes use a GTLM, if you wanna race use something else.

Drama-kyd i had some good clean passes on you on Suzuka and after that i notcied you opted for the GTLM too. I let GTLM's pass me now by pulling to one side or backing of. Once there in the rear view you might as well give up.
Yes they are a hard car to drive but so is most cars with a bad setup and lots of power.

Maziar Use max front and 28 rear downforce and then you will get 750pp đź‘Ť

1. You cant just hop into a GT and expect to win a race it takes a good setup and some practice because even if you're fast in free run its a whole other ball game when you're in the lead with the GT and the RBE decides to bite. Not only the RBE but in traffic the GT is a lot more harder to keep under control.

2. Most of the time you can catch me in the s2k, and please dont try to make it seem like i ran for the GT just because you were faster than i was in the s2k. I race for the fun and the competition winning means nothing to me, if you're faster fine; then pass me and keep going.

Another hit by you know who. I guess he didn't take kindly to me being in front of him on the grid.

Hey the vette or viper and most of all the lotus untuned are not race winning cars by any means, jump in a lotus tuned and up thepower and put R3's on it and tell me you can win a race lol. Iv never driven the GTLm and never will as its unfair unless everyone drives one in my opinion. (note in my opinion)

Now all i said is you opted for the GTLM make what ever of the rest.

No it is not,

Entering a scheduled race with lots of tagged and known racers the chance of getting punted is reduced.
That's the reason we have those races, isn't?

But nevermind, please use your lower PP for what for reason.
There is no law against it.

To bad we can't get all the same rolling dice chances for a position on the grid.

This is where i say A HUGE THANK YOU to the german idiot you took me out because he couldn't take me passing him. Next time i won't pass you mate, your off big style Opta64 or something.

Now i should stress this, stay on your line if your passing someone inches before a turn, Don't what ever you doing pull over to there side and stand on the brakes because that works wonders for staying on track.

No point racing agaist idiots like that one

Nooooo Oversteeer!!! Seriously, I can't drive it to my liking when the back end has a mind of its own :(

As long as people know I'm using 749PP to suit my driving style and not for grid position then I'm alright with 1hp less.

All the best

Nice races Sinsemilla + Prudentbear & Thanos đź‘Ť

See ya all tomorrow ;)

To all those who have seen me doing strange things on the road today, it's just that I've bought my first wheel (a G25) and I'm just trying to learn how to drive from the beginning.

I'm not happy honestly, I've been playing since the first GT with pad, and when I changed from automatic to manual years ago I was a bit hard at first moments but on the same day I get the trick. Unfortunately with the G25 seems to be I'm losing the time and maybe the money. I found it at 170€ which is the best price I've found anywhere... but I'm not able to complete a lap without go with my corvette to the kitty litter.

The problem is the wheel degree maybe... I feel that I've to turn so much the wheel in order to do a simple turn. I drive a car on real life... and the pedals on the G25 are not much separated.. it's not confortable to push the brake & throtle with the same leg as on real life... a bit confusing. I guess that I'll have to do the GTP Registry time attack with the pad >_<

I'm thinkin

My advice is stick with it. All G25 users have to deal with the learning curve but once you get the hang of it there really is no going back.

Had some fun races with WayneGTC and Sphinx pity my last race was spoiled by a fellow GTP member who was doing a great DoctorBen impersonation on me. Three taps throught the corners and not evan half way through the second lap with the last one sending me off and then not bothering to wait or sending an apology after the race.

Sorry about that race man kept missing my braking points. I knew it was close but i didnt think i hit/touched you at the dunlop or i would have waited. Again sorry.

Had some fun in the 11:30 race - was punted off by niko075 at the esses on the first lap, got a bit annoyed by it, so waited for him to come round, get a little ahead, then overtook him as a ghost.

Managed a 1'57:xxx on the final lap too, best time yet in the corvette.

Had some good races with GTP_LinPark,Drama-kyd,panSPEED and Vaxen yesterday thanks for the fun, it was nice to see 4-5 gtp'ers in a race with a total of like 6-7 people.đź‘Ť
