I tried it, it goes through the process, asks me to register and closes, it doesn't install anything though.

Hmmm...I don't know man. Do you have a previous installation of the Logitech software on your computer? If so, maybe try uninstalling it and then try to install the DFGT drivers. Also, if that doesn't work, maybe try installing the G25 drivers. I think it will just install the Logitech Profiler regardless, and it won't matter whether you use the DFGT or G25/G27. I think I've got the G25 or G27 drivers installed on my PC, and I'm using my DFGT right now in iRacing and the Profiler works with the DFGT just fine, even though it's supposed to be the G25/G27 version.

Also, if all else fails, just try to calibrate the DFGT using Windows.

Go to Control Panel/Devices and look for the DFGT. Click on it, and go to Properties, and just configure it from there. That might work.
And if you do it that way, just make sure to set degrees of rotation to 900, check the enable centering spring box, but keep it at 0, check the box that allows the game to adjust settings, and put damper to 0 too.

I'm quite sure that all common Logitech-wheels use same driver... and the newest is 5.09

I just some days ago tested my friends Red-Momo and I went to Logitechs sites to download drivers for it, and it offered me just the same 5.09 which I have in my PC already for G25.

Justin... are you sure there is no zip-file in your 'downloads'-folder?

I bought another set of G25 yesterday, cause I saw that local supermarket was selling it at wrong prize. (79€ )

Now I have quite nice setup at work too!

Is that beer?

Beer is the secret to achieving alien speeds. Now the secret is out.

Yep... few beers take too tight attitude away, and keeping pint on table you must be smooth.

...tbh, that first picture was just test-setup. This one is final.

Greger is amazing dude!

Cant understand how one guy can be on his own level, cause so many has equal equipments and lots of seat-time... but Huttu just wins. :ill:

Must watch this race too. Have seen them all. Very addictive and great shows, and PSRTV is getting better and better everytime.

Go Greger, Ilkka, Aleksi, Klaus, Markus and all other Finns there! 👍

I haven't watched a PSRTV broadcast in awhile. I remember the first few one of the announcers would always say "that's lap *insert lap number* in the books" all the time and really bugged me. I'm sure after a few months of getting used to it the announcers have broken some of there repetitive habits. Should watch the next one especially since my sub is up on Tuesday. At least watching the broadcasts will fill in the gap on no iRacing for awhile.

Heheh... that vid from Rudi is just priceless 👍

Have to say I'm enjoying the Fixed Corvette series a lot; a nice and rather 'user-friendly' car with shortish races and a lot of interesting courses!

I'll be doing some Fixed-Vette training tonight after 7:00pm GMT in Open-Practice server... anyone feel free to join with me and give some competition. There is never too much practice for close racing with Vette. :scared:

I have asked other Finns to arrive too, and if we are lucky there might be some sort of test-race when servertime is left 20min!

Cheers, Kristian Lindroth.

I'll stop by Kristian 👍 I start work @ 9:30pm GMT, but that should still give me plenty of time to get some laps in.

See you out there

Nice!

Hope to see you there... youre great indicator to see how much I'm behind Alien-pace.

Just bought over $200 worth of iRacing DLC.... Got ALL road courses now so that is awesome.

Hopefully get to race some of you at some point. Got a few of you added to my friends list. (my name is Madison Down for those that want to add me).

Hey guys, I'll be hosting an open session tommorow with the C6R @ Phillip Island if anyone is interested in joining in.

Here's my planned schedule:

180 minute practice begins @ 8PM GMT
20 minute qualifying session @ 11 PM GMT
15-20 lap race @ 11:20 PM GMT

 Great to hear...just shows you how addicting iRacing is for those who take their sim racing seriously :) I know for me, paying the ~$14 for a new tracck is well worth it, as the tracks in iRacing are so damn realistic and really provide a great challenge and rewardment to try and master. With that said, Spa is just going to be off the chain  :scared: :sly:

BTW I'll add you when I sign in later...my name is "Brock Harrison" 👍

I swear to god i just can´t stop laughing! love it when 4-5 other guys following him despite seeing the other guys driving straight :D

This just made my day.

Btw, i´m driving the Mazda at infenion and it´s just epic. Both the car and track, i strongly suggest trying it out because it´s just a blast with all kinds of corners, highspeed esses, hairpin-doublehairpin etc you name it.

I was at a race on infeneon with the star mazda today. Only made it through 8 laps, not used to the car as I hadn't driven it in a race for more than 4 months. I was the leader of a spec ford race at charlotte once, the first race at that track in the cycle so no one was expecting that track. Iturned in the first left and everyone turned with me, it was total chaos since that turn puts you backwards, funny as heck. I would record it but the computer in which i had the iRacing replay broke

Trans Tasman Racing Sweep The Floor At Lime Rock

Round 1 of the Simparts.co.nz V8Series 1 at Australian iRacing League has been run and won by TT-R's Madison Down.

Madison was able to dominate through all sessions to top Practice, get Pole & win the race fairly easily.
Blair Payton managed to make it a all TT-R front row narrowly over Corey Slade with the pair being close in every session they had run leading up to the event it was going to be a good fight.
Russell Pepperell & TT-R's new recruit Troy Cox rounding out the 5 in a tight qualifying session.

Madison down easily got the jump into turn 1 but the fight for 2nd got interesting between Blair, Russ & Corey with the rest of the field getting trough the first few laps ok.

Stephen Jones had early dramas sending him off at turn 2 on lap 22 leading to the first DNF of the race meanwhile Madison had clear'd the battle for 2nd wich was still going on red hot between Blair & Corey eventually a mistake by Blair allowed Corey past to edge out a tiny gap before the pitstop's.

Lap 31 and the cars started to pit in with the leaders pitting in between 32 & 35 & after the stops madison was still the clear leader Russell Pepperell closed right up on Blair and Corey so if they made a mistake the kiwi was going to get the advantage.

Wayne Tolley had a nasty accident on No Name Straight leaving to his car being to bad to continue in the event meanwhile the battles up and down the pack were going on.

Both Blair Payton made a mistake allowing Russell Pepperell Past but only laps later Russ would find himself into the tyre wall after locking up over a bump.

As the race came to the end all driver's were very happy with the Clean, Courteous & Safe driving from all driver's.

I just did some HD-settings testing with my new PC and Sony Vegas. I wanted to see how long clip it's possible to do with best quality and 1024mb limit per video. If you watch even some minutes about it, please comment about quality and how it shows in your screen. No need to comment about editing, cause there is no such... I just took one Fraps-run with in-cam and rendered that. Looks like that little under 20minutes is quite max with best quality.

I took part to my first Vette-Fixed race at last week, and it went great... so naturally that was obvious choice for my test-video. Race itself ain't thrilling, epic, or anything like that... but somehow I just nailed everything there. Cant remember that I would have ever done so smooth and clean run before.

Hey AutoAki. Video looks great and nice driving. You were turning nice and consistent lap times there! 👍 I think the C6R is one of the best looking and sounding cars in iRacing! Handles okay too.

How did you get the ticker going across the top of the screen?

On the topic of videos, since this thread got so big, I started a thread just for iRacing videos. I have already added a few and you guys can add your favorites or personal works as well! Rudi's must definitely go up there.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=130205

For example, here are the highlights from the Zandvoort World Drivers Championship race from earlier this season (broadcasts are MUCH better now). This and many others are included there.

Go into the app.ini file in the iRacing folder under my documents and change the 0 to 1 for EnableTicker under [Overlay]. That will give you the Ticker when the UI isnt up.

Thx Mikey. Do you just open the file, change that and then save it? Open as a text file? I was always afraid to go in there and change stuff. They should just make it an option in the UI.

Yup just open the file in notepad change the setting and save that simple. All of the items in there have notes to them to tell you what does what and the settings for them so you shouldn't be able to screw anything up to bad.

Thanks... good to hear it works fine. In my work our 'customer PC' could not run it smoothly...? Maybe it's because of GPU/CPU in it or something like that. It's just 'bulk-machine' for netbrowsing so it's worth of nothing I think.

I had not tested Vette-F before last week, and surprise was huge about it's handling now in this new build! :dopey: They really made some very needed fixes in to it, cause it was ridiculous when released. Since then, I was always whinging about it's engine-braking which was way too huge imo, so everytime when you braked you could not avoid spinning. Also tail-happiness was too big... or maybe grip-level too low, cause also front-tyres locking was big issue with it. Those fails lead to situation where you were forced to use unreal driving-techniques and brake-balances (brake and throttle same time) to master it, or just be out of race-pace... in my case, I chosed to let that widow-maker to garage, cause I just could not adapt my twenty-year old driving technique in to this much debated 'Kaemmer's sim-technique'.

I do know that small amount of brake is helpful to balance car in some situations, and I also know trail-braking... I'm using both myself too, but in iRacing I have seen pedal-inputs which has nothing to do with real-life, and they just work. I hope this new build (transmission) killed that possibility to exploit physics. No need for even see pedal-telemetry in past builds, cause engine-sounds told everything about which way many guys were driving. :grumpy:

I think Vette-F is quite in spot with it's fixed-setup. Atleast for my driving-style there is no need for anything else than just normal trail-braking pedal-techniques with small blip when downshifting. Very relaxing ride, but same time thrilling cause there is no room for lose focus. :)

Good idea!

I hope I can add one tomorrow. I'm planning to race tonight in my work in front of big screen, and I will take my video-cam with me and record my driving so that cam is placed behind my shoulder. If that angle works, I will upload it. Littlebit different to see 'live'-wheel instead of virtual-wheel perhaps... we'll see.

Pity that PC in my work is my old one, so graphics will be very low. :ouch:

Nice driving Kristian 👍 You're looking as smooth and consistant as ever ;)

I too have been spending a lot of time with the C6R over the past few weeks and I have really been enjoying it. Atm I've been practicing at Barber which is an extremely tough track to master with this car, but a great challenge :)

Let me know if you want to do any races with the vette in the near future. Every time I host a damn race a bunch of people show up for practice and then end up leaving once qualy comes around...and I must say it's frustrating as hell :ill: I really need to get into some type of league racing but I'm a complete noob when it comes to that so I have to work my way up starting with some of the cars that are rather boring to drive IMO.

Thanks pal... sadly I dont remember anymore what did I drink on that day. Maybe some energy-drink cause usually I'm very tired when my seat-time is available, and that ends to too many mistakes and mostly to situation where I dont race at all cause I dont wanna kill my SR. :indiff:

I'm going to focus all my future driving to C6R now when I've seen how nice it has become. Also Vette-fixed series is so popular now, that it's possible to find race almost all the time.
Why dont you wanna race Official-series... it's totally awesome structure imo! You have Mustang, so just race so much as possible now in Lime Rock, avoid every incident, and your license will 'fast track' to C 4.00 in few days!

Some guys have fast-tracked from Rookie to A in few days. If you just do good Qualify, you will start from pole everytime and it's easy to run 0 incs then. If you dont, Lime without incidents can be tough though. :scared:

Come on Brock! 👍

In that case, I will get on it ASAP. I very much enjoy the driving the Mustang and if that's a good way to get my rating up then I will pursue that starting today 👍 Thanks for the advice  I'm too lazy to figure out the iRacing rating/pyramid structure for myself :dunce:

I had never raced the vette until a few weeks ago and I really like it for all the reasons that Kristian explained. Mustang is a great car but just too slow for my tastes. Anyway, I joined the SSCA racing league and they are a great bunch of guys and are very well organized. Grids of 25+ cars every race. They have two leagues:
- Team Challenge racing DPs (Sunday morning California time)
- Grand Am Series racing DPs and C6Rs multi-class (Monday nights Cali time)

The GrandAm Series is a lot of fun and some of the vette guys can actually beat some of the DP guys. It is not too late to join at www.sscarace.com. Just send a PM to Alex Ulleri on the forums and he will sort you out.

Here are a articles from the first two races on inracingnews.com.

Edit: Here are one driver's highlights of his bad luck in the race this past Monday.
