MADCAP
Here is my first attempt at the McLaren, this was done for our Team for the WORLDS ROOKIE WEEK.... what you guys think?

Representing the Aussie flag, colours and the Boxing Kangaroo!

Looks really nice!

My new McLaren will probably be unveiled in the next 24 hours. Not many changes but, chsnges none the less.

Started my first custom paint job for my Late Model. Should be fun.

This is what's going on the hood.

I'm a sucker for anything Alpinestars (I have a pair of racing shoes and gloves) so.. I really like that :lol:

Well, I've played around and got the sponsors and the design the way I want it finally. I can't decide which color scheme I like more. So, I'll let you guys decide! V1 or V2? For some reason I really like V1. But V2 looks so clean.

V1;

V2;

Version 2 for sure, like you said it looks much cleaner and to be honest I can see that looking right at home on a real GT3 car, the first one not so much..

GO PINK - something different as there is heaps of Orange White Mclarens out there already - Thats just me

I had pink last season.

Decided to add the sponsors from my real life racing on the S2 McLaren. Which means that the color needed to go with it.

V2 it is then. My teammate also agreed with V2.

I must be the only one that liked V1 then, which is odd considering I'm usually not that big on Asymmetrical paint schemes.

^ they were the same paint scheme, he meant the sides.

The asymmetrical paint reminded me of the red a green nav lights in the wing tips of planes :)

i like it all 3 colors to be honest its different and just good to see moving around. makes the movement have more pop per say.

You and me both! My favorite scheme they sponsored was the Nelson Piquet Jr truck that Death Spray Custom did! Between that and Falken Tire livery, I can't figure out which way to really go with sponsors/colors and scheme since no one seems to be able to design what I want.

Looks I'm investing in photoshop..... But I'm only getting the 3month subscription

There's a subscription service for Photoshop?

So guys. My McLaren and my teammates McLaren for S2. Going to start working on a paint for the HPD tomorrow.

6months £120

Realized the second photo didn't work so I just fixed the link.

I use Illustrator CS6 and Photoshop CS6. Illustrator to draw all the lines and logos. Then Photoshop is for getting the layering and .tga file. My friends father is a professional designer and has unlimited copies of the Adobe Master Collections. So I have everything Adobe makes or bought and plastered their name on lol.

Never heard of a subscription service before but I guess that is pretty cool. You really should just use GIMP. It's free and just as difficult to use as Photoshop and can do everything Photoshop can do.

Think I'll stick with GIMP. 860 euro for PS CS6...

:nervous:

Anyone know how to unlock layers in GIMP? I always have trouble with some being locked..

Wish there was a plugin for Paint.net that meant it could work with these .tga files...

Can I have some help please... I downloaded gimp try to put my new paint scheme in put it dont show up on track but every other one does :/

You need to upload it to trading paints if you're finished with it. If you're still working on it but still want to see it, do not open TP and save the .tga file as your customer id (i.e. 12345) in the iracing paint file system according to the car

Hmmm, I don't know what to tell you besides that normally I would typically double and triple check that everything is correct just in case and that the correct layers are showing on the tga file
