Is Your Car in Gran Turismo, and Does Your Car Deserve to be in GT5?

Mmm, okay...

How many spokes are on Minilites again? :D

Oddly, that detail seems to be pulled from Parkers also - but we all know how reliable Parkers is for fine details.

8 :guilty:

Anyway, I'm on this forum to talk to like minded people about Gran Turismo, not argue over wheels!

And I do apologise for my shoddy Photoshop attempts. I was only trying to show the potential Ford KA's have!

My car is sort of already in there but the 4WS version..

For the people askin about my car. Its a 2005 Impreza STi with the 2.5l engine. I forgot not everyone here is from the states lol.

Hydra 2.6 Engine Management System
Manley Turbo-Tuff Rods
Manley 8.5:1 Pistons
Cosworth High Volume Oil Pump
Cosworth Heads
Cosworth 278/274 Cams
ARP Head Studs
Garret GT3582R .82 A/R
Perrin Equal-Length Header
PT Custom Downpipe
Perrin Up-Pipe
Tial 44mm External Wastegate
COBB Tuning 3" Cat-Back
Aquamist HFS-5 Meth Injection
Perrin Front Mount Intercooler
Perrin Blow-Thru Boost Tube
Perrin Intake
Perrin Fuel Rails
Power Enterprise 850cc Injectors
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
JDM Subaru TGV Deletes
Cusco Motor & Trans Mounts
GReddy Type-R BOV

Thats whats done to the motor. So yea its almost fully built. And that is 480 to the wheels which is a bit low considering the motor because my fuel is limiting me. Im still not in the efficiency range on the 35R (27psi+ it seems) which is then not utilizing the cams. If I put in some 1100cc injectors and a second walbro pump I could probably be around 550-600. But I daily drive it so that would be a little inefficient. Plus its lacking in the suspension department. It handles great from the factory though.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Quad 442. Just the name alone rivals the Hemi Rams for length, but the real squeeze on this is the Quad 4 High Output engine with 180 horse/ 160 tq off the lot. Nothing quite like handing ricer ass out with a five speed manual Oldsmobile. As mine sits it has a Spectre Cold Air Intake and a Flowmaster 44 series dual exhaust, bringing my numbers to a respectable (estimated) 195hp/200tq. The suspention is rather solid for being a dead-axle and the fact only 1364 are made are other defenses to being in GT. ;)

Cheers.

my pointiac grand prix no.

but the 81 trans am my father and i restored and did an engine swap (chevy 383) does. so does our jeep cj-7. jeeps would be pretty fun for the rally courses. *shrug*

Not my car - a FWD station wagon with no historical significance has no place. But, I know a guy who owns one of these:

A 1973 Triumph Spitfire Mark IV. There was a Spitfire in GT4, so I've got my hopes up. It's fun to ride in with it's mind-blowing 57 HP :D.

I'd much rather they go with a slightly later 1500, mk4 was always a bit of a dog between the very pretty mk3, and the more powerful/better sorted 1500.
That said I really do hope a Spitfire makes it into the game again, and that this time they get the handling a bit nearer to the real thing!
Would be nice to have it without the dodgy hard top as well...

Here's mine, a little lower than stock, and fitted with roll bar and uprated breaks. Next on the list will be a stainless exhaust, and start tuning up the engine...

Great fun car to drive, as your so close to the road it really does feel so much faster than you are going, the tail steps out nice and easy as well!

To be fair, Famine:

The factory Ka wheels in that style aren't Minilites, but they do have the right number of spokes... I'm surprised you only looked at the text and not the pictures before you posted your comment ;)

Since all the Ford documentation pertaining to the car say "6-spoke" I posited that they aren't factory wheels, but aftermarket Minilite replicas (which are ten a penny).

The picture used was an illustration that they were a factory option - but all the documentation says 6-spokes, which they, quite obviously, aren't.

That's really odd Famine, my friend's Ka had them on and they were definitely a factory option. He bought the car round to show me the day he picked it up.

I like to think my car would be a worthy member of the GT5 stable. It was sort of in GT4, but not really.

The Peugeot 205 T16 was in GT4, but I'd like to see the 205 GTI 1.9 included too.

Yeah, a guy at my work has a Ka with Minilite style alloys that came with it from new. You see plenty of them around.

That picture shows a Nissan S13 Silvia.

I am pretty sure that is a 1988 Honda Accord, because the lights are way to square to be a S13 Silvia, but maybe i am mistaking, any way this picture is no shape form or way a Nissan S13 Silvia.
I know the Accord is in the game this is from another user on the forum. I bought it because it was the closet to what i actually owned in real life.

Yes, the 1988 Accord is in the game (it has been out 5 years, we all have the complete car lists). And yes that second image shows one.

I'd like my car in GT5

I'm building a wide arch cosworth powered 4wd puma at the mo (funds permitting) when i get round to the paint it should look pretty similar to an blue St160 puma only WIDER, LOWER, FASTER and MEANER.

hopefully pics coming soon

if anyone knows of any shagged pumas lying around for not a lot of money drop me a line.

P.s. i'm loving the corolla above me, back to the old school and less "all show no go" like todays cars with all the bling and hair-drier engines.

Hopefully my car will be in there, an S14 (1997 240sx). It would be awesome if you could choose between the North American KA24DE, and the Japanese SR20.

Even more awesome would be the ability to swap in:

- RB20, RB25, RB26
- KA-T
- 1/2JZ

Just had a thought, I've already posted here saying my car should be in the game (2005 Commodore), but today I thought about the Toyota Aurion, they actually seem pretty good (if you're in the USA i think its called a Camry V6). Would be great to see them and the TRD versions aswell in GT5.
