I'll sign up. HSV please. The gt500 cars are a bit faster so it won't be such a full throttle snooze fest on the racing softs. Well not as bad. I hope we decide on racing hards.... Only ;)

We aren't running the HSV

And 12 laps is roughly 100mins. We usually race for 70min

Zach and Joe, discussing for the Nurb 24h on the GT400 and the new tournament for the GT500 in the same thread is creating a bit of confusion for me... can you guys open a new fresh thread only for the new GT500 tournament?

See driving standards, that clarifies what is legal and what will result in a penalty. If you have any additions pm me

May have mid interpreted this
If you mean having different ballast bhp etc for each driver to equal grid out no. We are happy to have balanced cars and have the fastest driver win :)

Race update

Time progression will be changed to 11 for the race

That's the full 24hr cycle?

I want the revised Monaco & Le mans track *Arange recessed*

Cant finish the tread without reg's, plus its finals week, and my girl is walking the stage so my time has been limited. I barely had enough to edit 2 op's need some breathing room sry guys, i always come thru in the end!

Time progression 11 means we finish at 9am which would mean we have done all the lighting conditions :P

We're not using this thread to discuss the GT500 series. This thread is to be used only for the Nordschliefe spot race

The thread for GT500 will be up soon. All questions can then be asked

i know hes busy
but it should be zack doing all the work as
Joe = bernie ecclestone sits backs relax lives a playboy lifestyle while cashing in on his slightly successful series
Zack = FIA does all the hard work on regs and keeping teams and drivers happy while managing finance etc. gets some credit but not enough
sorry zack but its true

Thank you my man this has been the week from hell!

At this point and time I would like drivers to post which chassis they would perfer from either list some I already know! Btw Zach dos all the work but have at managing op while getting slammed for it and still press on like I do. Plz don't forget I still manage Blancpain all by myself as well as this 1 which is still a series in its infant stagies and needs a lot over seeing. Anyways moving on like I always do ill start the list.

Ill run the Raybrig or Takata if you dont allow the Stealth NSX. I think medium tires are the way to go. SuperGT run softer tire compounds than other GT type series irl. Thanks in part to their inboard suspension. These are really lmp's with the engine in the front. Its insane how quick they are. 1:33's as race pace at Fuji. Thats on pace with lmp2...

Anyway. Nurburgring isn't too bad, just finding space to pass is a little tougher. Not feeling comfortable here. I haven't run this track often. I think my best was 8:38 on mediums but not entirely smooth.

I'm confused a little here, you said "mediums are the way to go" but also said they "run softer compounds, irl"? I'm sure we where going to keep 2 different tire compounds with GT5 tire model we will do 1 stops unless we up the km's (distance).

Zach you just reached the same problem I did wit your pm's!

They run 'softer compound tires' than series like FIA GT, WTCC, V8 Supercars, the WEC GTE class etc. The normal pace for those cars (GT500) is a bit faster than lmp2's. Take Fuji for example, lmp2's pace is around 1:32s for pole. GT500 was 1:31s for Kazuki Nakajima in the SC430. GTE class pole in the WEC was around high 1:38s while GT300 pole was 1:37's this year for the BRZ GT300. People complain about the soft tires in GT5 saying they're 'arcadey' blah blah. My theory is you run the closest type of tire the series uses. Super GT cars have high grip tires. So Mediums or Softs I think represents close to what they use. Mediums last a bit longer, but not as fast. Series like FIA GT3 will probably run a hard tire that has great life to it. LMP's are both. They have tremendous grip and long life (triple stints at LeMans).

👍

I like the soft and medium racing tires for the GT300's & GT500's.
