I'm glad Kaz wrote us a letter to give us explanations and excuses.

I hope that a long maintenance will not happen in the future.

For this reward story, I like that Kaz and PoDi assume their choice despite the big wave of protest.

Personally, I like their vision even if it doesn't seem to be compatible with players who want to get everything, very quickly today.

Understand the value and history of each car. Enjoying the driving, enjoying each car by doing World Circuit races, custom races, online races and so on.

It's good that they have balanced rewards, I never found normal that a 3 minutes race is better rewarded than a 20 minutes race. Balancing also avoid players to do the same race over and over again.

What the game needs in the future, is more races, preferably races that reward well. The ability to sell cars, not just for money but because it's also part of the series.

If you play regularly for months or years, money will fall and one day you will be able to buy a 20M car and you will be very happy.

Thank PoDi, I'm happy to play GT7 again before the weekend

He was also really good when it came to utilizing the PlayStation's hardware especially during the PS2 era notably Gran Turismo 3 in the visuals and technical department. At the time GT3 came out, there weren't that many games that could reach the same level of visual and technical quality Gran Turismo 3 had. Imagine if we still had that same Kazunori Yamauchi today, Gran Turismo 7 could've been one of the best PS Exclusives released during the PS5 era.

Sad how we went from Technical Kaz to current day Rockstar levels of bad Kaz.
And there was alot more content in those games from the ps2 era, especially GT4. I dropped my dropped jaw when I first played that game and I dont get that same feeling with GT7 it just feels like GT sport.

I guess you don't have a proper counter argument uh.
I like to play counterpoint, but there is nothing to be gained here is there? You cant articulate an effective point, just egotism & apparent negativity. Im playing GT7 with a smile on my face, im chuffed its back on, really. Chase those dumpster fire embers while I chase tail lights good times!

I think you'll find that quite a few people on this forum are a bit older than you assume.
LOL just because I play games does not make me 12
I'm sure that in my 40s I can run circles around fat blobs and do more push-ups than they eat hot meals in their entire lives😉

I hope that a long maintenance will not happen in the future (except for natural disasters. Unfortunately, we can't control everything).

If he wants more players to respect the vision he has for GT7, he could of made to where you dont get to the grindable events until you're at the end of the game. Would have make a whole lot of sense from a progression perspective of view because at that point, you would have experienced about everything the game has to offer.

Increasing the payouts by 10-times and allowing of selling duplicate cars can solve the grinding issue. It will still be a grind but it will be less stressful.

I know that I will never get the gold in S-license for the X2019 Competition so might as well buy it off the shop since its sitting right there.

Also I don't think that anyone is saying that they want "everything now". Rather people are upset that the ability to attain new content is slower than in past editions of the game. Especially since the nerfing of the Ranch grinding is going to take longer than ever. I don' think it's unreasonable for people to be upset that cars are much harder to purchase than in earlier games.

10x is excessive, are you seriously saying the game should pay out 500,000cr for a mere 5 lap race?

75,000-100,000 is more reasonable.

I suggest z28gaming, he explains it pretty thorough, helped me with that last one 917k
If I can do it, anyone can

x10 would be overkill. x2,5 or x5 would be much better, alongside the duplicate car selling, of course. It should be a bit of a grind, but not a ridiculous one.

We should all boycott the game for real. Since Kaz doesn't want us to grind, we won't. When they see nobody is playing the game anymore, then they're gonna take action. It's not like they made the game in a year.
I've only been playing long enough to get my 26 miles/roulette ticket, and then checking the UCD/Legend dealers when they update. I'm not grinding at these rates for 2-20mil credit cars; was barely doing it before this update. I've gotten a 1 star roulette ticket 3x in a row now so I don't even see a need to log on to get the rigged ticket. I won't be at all surprised if my 26 mile daily drops to 26 mile weekly at this point.

Merriam-Webster

sycophant - noun Definition: a servile self-seeking flatterer.

Synonyms: apple-polisher, bootlicker, brown-noser, fawner, flunky (also flunkey, flunkie) lickspittle, suck-up, toady

To say 10-times is excessive is already polite as it is yet it's still not enough. It's just another zero. Personally 100-times will be just fairly reasonable so I can get the car and then be broke in no time because I spent it all on the parts and all.

Getting a full game when paying full price for a game is now considered a child wanting "instant gratification".

Apparently older generations bought unfinished homes for full price of a finished home... and that's how they liked it.
When you buy a new home, do you also expect for it to be fully furnished too?

I just take what he said with a grain of salt. He had to say something so he had his speech writer or the Sony PR person prepare a statement to make it seem like he cares about us GT7 gamers. They tried to address all of the complaints users have to make it seem like they care but they don't. Take what I say with a grain of salt
