How about increasing the payout for all other races, then? That way we can grind them all equally and have a variety.

Or have a bonus as a percenage of 1st place completion. You can then reward early birds, and when new content is out your percentage is dropped and you have to rework to get the max bonus.
I think the payout is ok, the problem is in my opinion that there aren’t enough events, they must add a lot more normal events and especially some bigger events that are hard like endurance, but also much more rewarding then

I just want to know what the game is. That's what he doesn't answered. Once we are done with the menu the only thing that seems to be there is Sport mode and increasing your collector level.

They are no championships or events that you need to grind away to get the cars to enter. What are you even grinding for, the opportunity to drive in a car that may or may not be usable in an online race. I think the analogy to a house that's just furniture is a really good one. We have the cars and the tracks, but not much to do with them.

Kaz's response is about as laughable as I thought it would be and just confirmed that he really doesn't care about the player/customers concerns or complaints.
There was no reason to nerf the already low payouts except to further push the player into using the in-game micro-transactions.
The proper answer would have been to increase the payouts in other races.
Some members in this thread made a very good point about the fact that we have already paid our $60 or $70 dollars (or more for collector's editions like I did) for this (unfinished) game, so our part of the contract is complete.
Further pushing players into micro-transaction territory using lower payouts and time constrained "brand invitations" in the game design is just plain wrong.

I had serious reservations about getting this game at launch as PS3/PS4 history has shown PD has no idea how to release a properly polished and finished game at launch. GT6 and GTS both needed years of updates to get them to a point that justified the price tag of the game when it was new.
But I bought into the hype machine and was anxious to see what they did with the physics and tuning mechanics... That was really dumb on my part.
I think the important lesson I have learned from this debacle is to never buy a GranTurismo title when it launches.
I should have waited a few years for them to release various updates and maybe even a A-spec II version with all the bells and whistles already baked in and bought it used for a price tag that justifies the gaming experience being offered.

Personally I'm not filled with hope. If they didn't want people to grind the same thing endlessly, this wasn't the thing to do at all.
PD's response makes no sense. If you want people to find new ways to enjoy the game and not mechanically run the same race over and over, you don't do that by making the method to enjoy different approaches less accessible.

While I'm hopeful for new/more content and an expansion on the economics, there is literally no defensible position on cutting payouts on the races that provided the best opportunities for in-game currency.

Was any of this actually necessary? You've been here long enough to know better. If you're "tired of the crybabies" then either add them to your ignore list, or scroll past their posts and go about the rest of your day.
Is anyone verbally attacking Kaz actually necessary? I'd think the moderators here should know better than to allow it.

I appreciate him taking the time to address the issue personally, rather than a generic response from the company.
In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions.
At the same time the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices. Quoted by Yamagachie himself. Why would he even slash the award prizes if he wanted us to enoy the game. Why doesn't he slah the rediculous racing tire costs? 36,000 for a racing tire?

People have ZERO patience and it shows.
You're just rambling right now, no coherence in your statements.

You're just deflecting rightful criticism left and right like you have any sort of stock in PD, for some reason.
Is anyone verbally attacking Kaz actually necessary? I'd think the moderators here should know better than to allow it.
Disagreeing with some of his decisions isn't insulting him. Not everyone feels the need to be a loyal servant of Kaz. Unless you can quote me directly insulting him.

I'll use it in a sentence.

The customer was entitled to a complete product because he paid full price for it.
Multiplying it by 10 is excessive, you honestly thin a 5 lap race against daft AI should pay out 500,000-800,000?

He discusses the grinding and in-game economy, but he misses the always online issue, to me, the main problem. The whole in-game economy is irrelevant if you can't access the game in the first place. Sure, this is done so the save games can't be edited or whatever, if that's the problem then do not let players download their save game.

I'm yet to experience the game, so can't comment on the economy. I do see what Yamauchi say, he wants players to collect the cars as something special and take "pride" in having certain car. But that's a petrolhead vision, most people don't care, they want a fast car and that's it. 917K goes brrrr

He also reminded that great things are in store for GT7, why are not here yet? How did he make 4 Gran Turismos that had everything from the outset?

Asks us to look to the long term future of the game refuses to give any info related to that long term future and until we get there please be satisfied with eating a **** sandwich, well just as soon as you can afford to buy it.
There is no longterm future for this game, they've completely destroyed any goodwill they had with their fans to the point of no return.

This franchise is finished.
