You are if you cant read thru the last couple of pages, would include laziness in there too and I might sound like an arse for saying it but I'm sick of the laziness and general stupidity being shown on this forum and others....

Did you realize how many people had done several interpretations of Kaz words? i got confused and so I asked but if I bothered you I'm sorry mate.

LOL, I saw that tweet but when I noticed the "24" in it I assumed it had something to do with the Le Mans 24 H (this weekend) so didn't bother to translate! :dopey:

They have updated the UK page: http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/news/d29436.html

Will be interesting to see the changelog tomorrow.

US updated with the same info. We'll probably get the update when the GT5 services return, although there's no specific guaranteed time of when that's gonna happen.

*Please note that exact times of the maintenance may slightly vary.

by the way...

Based on maintenance time and Japanese speech issue, we have to focus on 24:00 or tomorrow 10:00 in Japan time.

Just in!!! Kaz just tweeted "T10 studios will destroy us!"

And they will use this new official Steering Wheel (yes, yes, they actually call this a "wheel") as a weapon I presume?

I have ask my friend about Japanese grammar issue.

"24時間後です" means "after 24 hour"
(in terms, Japanese used "時間" to explain "how long", "時" for actual timing.)

base on maintenance time, I guess the update may be apply after 00:00 in Japan time.

The new "special event" may update at tomorrow 12:00 in Japan time. (in past, update event at that time are Seasonal Event. )

Well I don't Turn 10 will destroy them just yet or ever, but they are GT's competition just like EA is trying to be with the NFS:Shift series.

Still if I were Kaz I would be watching my back having a vision is great, but if you don't do it right no one will care.

I think it means 24 hours later as if that is true, I think that is bang on time after the maintenance finishes. All will be known tomorrow morning (UK BST Time).

Maybe the new patch will allow for multiple drivers to take part in the 24 hours Le Mans online! in terms of swapping in and out of 1 car with friends...

If the patch turns out to be mostly (if not only) about endurance races (in game saves during races, online endurances, A+B spec drivers, etc), I'll be very disappointed.

SHIRAKAWA Akira

How could you be disappointed with in game saves during long races not even just the 24hrs either I hope.

Everything else I understand as it seems like it's just adding things and not implementing things that should have been there at the start of it all.

Frankly, because I don't care much about them. I mostly play online, and there wouldn't be use for those on online races. When I don't play online I mostly do short seasonal races (for quick credits) or solo practice runs to tune my cars. I think it's the same for the majority of people here who purchased the game last November.

I agree with SHIRAKAWA. Yes, there should be a save option for endurance races. Yes, GT5 should have more off line events. But unless they completely re-write the AI, there's little point. The offline portion of GT5 is horrible. I continue to run the seasonals, although I don't even know why I bother. And I ran endurance races up through the Nurburgring 4 hours. And then I gave up. I ran with racing hard tires and a car with ~ 575PP in the hopes of evening out the field. You either have one rabbit which runs away or you fight with a bunch of useless, hapless drone cars. I won't bother with the rest of the endurance races, save option or not.

Fortunately, the saving grace is that the online portion of GT5 is quite good, excellent in fact, and this is certainly the future. There is no way that the AI, no matter how much they improve it, will ever be able to offer the kind of competition that living, breathing, thinking opponents can.

There are many, many small tweaks, and some larger changes, I would like to see made to this game. I think the online framework is quite good and I would prefer to see GT5 supported and improved and financed through monthly DLC packages. But I don't see it happening. And I'm afraid many people are in for a disappointment with their expectations of this next update. I'm not expecting more than a few minor bug fixes. But I hope to be surprised.

See I really don't do seasonals, their mostly completed but I hardly ever go see what is new. I want to do the 24 hr races and finish this short A-spec. If I was done with them then yes I do mostly as you.

See it's posts like these that make it tough for me to jump at buying this game if offline is terrible I don't care for online. I'm a person who likes the single player experience because for me online is the next step once you think you've got the skills to challenge people.

All I ask
-Endurance saves
-Faster Ai, does not have to be better, just faster.
-Day/night transitions on more tracks... d\n changes on the 24hr Nurb but not the GP, makes no sense.
-Same deal with weather
-Brake upgrades
-Grip reduction for RH, RM and RS. Along with different tire wears for each.
-Less slip stream

Except for endurance saves none of these things are new features, just tweaks to the game.
