Grinding hard now for the Merc, and I also want to grab the E-Type although that's just chump change lol. Currently sitting at 15M in the bank. Should be enough time to do it with Sardegna grinds but I might have to sell my extra Vulcan. We'll see.

The new weeklies can give you a 1M and a change, also there're the special events replicating the races of the GTWS which can net you 500k each. So, 2M off the Sardegna grind.

I'm just taking a scientific approach. Save money until I can get the most expensive car I don't have yet.
I have now 31M cash, so will go Merc and hopefully will gather another 9M before the Alfa comes
In a purely strategic sense, assuming the ultimate goal is to collect all the cars you're better off buying cars that aren't 20M first because they can sometimes go up quite a lot in price over time. 20M cars are at least going to never cost more than that...

what, the weekly race things? LOL...I stopped bothering with those ages ago. They almost always require at minimum an hour and aren't something I enjoy anyway which immediately makes running Sardegna twice for 1.5M the better option (especially when the big prizes include parts or engine tickets!). The only thing I'm really interested in doing in "game" terms is the weekly Time Trial events - which are also a money-loser in purely credits-per-hour terms but at least I enjoy the challenge (although the last few events have been more frustration than enjoyment). I really don't get much enjoyment from racing at all to be honest. I enjoy GT for the driving...all I really need are cars and tracks to drive them on.

yes, you are right from a strategic standpoint. I already have most of the cars and prefer to have a "now it's downhill" approach. If I go bottom up I may get bored at some point. Right now I'm not, so I want to get rid of the monsters first.

@skydragon49 : what is that "special events replicating the races of the GTWS"?
