Let the speculation begin: Insider teasing from Amar212

No, but they are doing some things. I believe the seasonals.

What, daily? The seasonals can be set up in 5 minutes, or even scheduled in batch, in advance. Turning off the GT5 servers will free up bandwidth/tech but I fail to see how it will greatly affect what the employees themselves are doing except the couple of guys in charge of maintenance but it's not like they're going to go off and model a car, they'll just only have to maintain GT6 services.

I don't mean specifically seasonals, but at the very least

What else could PD employees be doing on a regular basis that relates solely to GT5 online activities?

Let's try to keep on topic fellas and not turn this into another GT Complaint thread. Something positive is coming so let's try and keep it that way. If you're disappointed by stuff when it arrives you can complain to your hearts content in the appropriate thread.

All this speculation is thrilling. I guess we just ha to wait and see now :)

If any of the content is the "promised" content, I'll be happy but not a "thank you" kinda happy, more like "its about time" kinda happy. Companies shouldn't get so much praise for stuff they promise.

Unexpected stuff is the real happiness.

Too good to be true.. all of it sounds so wonderful.

Coming from amar, it just makes it that much better. I haven't felt this 'hype' in quite the while. Though yes, I know, this all can only be considered speculation.

Feels great :gtpflag:

Guys calm down. It clearly says mainteance and not update. Yes in the past after the mainteance was over the was a update after it for the game. But remember also there were mainteances too and there was no update at all...
So dont get too excited, cuz u might get nothing..
Better get excited for may 27th where something is confirmed and promised!!

The last time when i was really exicited about update/dlc was in GT5 when Spa track came.
Now that really was something!! I have a F2007 in GT5 with over 11 000km on the clock. At least 7000km were driven on Spa!!

But it's no fun getting excited over something we know will happen:P

It is fun getting excited over a mystery though:D

If the GPS app comes along I really hope it does point to point and handles elevation changes. I have an odd stretch of road near me known as hod rod haven that starts as a steep climb and turns in to a roller coaster. Incredible driving for nimble cars and I cant wait to share it. It's also pretty long.

Unless he is trolling everyone hard, Amar only posts criptic information if something good is on it's way

I'd say either VGT's or Zahara are on their way.

New sounds for some cars (what else would voice hint to?)

Unprecedented in series history is the most curious for me. The list of things that are in GT6 or have previously been in the series is huge. My best guesses are:
Livery Editor
GPS course creator
Free Roam

When he tesed/hinted at the inital Senna reveal he used flowery terms like 'tears of joy' etc to describe the response that fans would have to that upcoming reveal.

Not to say that it wouldn't have inspired that kind of a response in a few people but it's subjective - a lot of people were expecting more in the end.

Which is the same people who expects impossible things from the game like the McLaren MP4/4(which is owned by other company), the whole point of Senna in game was to commemorate him (which was done so by promoting his foundation), rather than capitalizing on his name (i.e. making paid DLC on his name).

People can't get over that, I get it, people not having common sense I don't get.

It's coming from the guy that said GT6 was going to be on the PS4 and that it and GT5 were going to be awesome, plus has several posts with clear fanboyism. Since I've been here he has hyped every single thing and not a single one was true. I have no idea how he got that reputation of being an insider in first place.

To me at least fulfilling the promises is the first step, which is a DLC track every single month, including catching up with the already delayed, plus also adding all the advertised features and fixing the bugs that really break this game as is. After that step -that seems unrealistic at this point- comes the 'unprecedented' point, which would be two tracks a month and making it reach PC sims quality or better.

No, unprecedented is not one kart and one car. No, I'm not crying manly tears of joy with that and won't with three or four and one track. No, unprecedented is not meeting the advertisement and certainly it isn't 'unprecedented' to meet it with years of delays.

To put it in perspective, the last GT game that was clearly completed was GT4 and the advertisement of both GT5 and GT6 is clearly misleading if not straight up false advertisement in some aspects, which means almost 10 years of doing their work badly. What people ask here -those that still haven't left to forza or to iracing- is PD to finally release a game that is finished, that is not years delayed, that meets the advertisement; then after that 10 year old delayed step comes the step of being impressed by something.

So with all that said lets put another example besides tracks, mind you already 6 tracks behind schedule in 6 months so far. I would be satisfied with the removal of all GT4 and prior content, including all 'standard' cars; then would be impressed with all or most being updated to 'premium' status. The latter would be unprecedented, not the former in comparison to every single current AAA racing game because in all of them all content is 'premium' or of above quality than what PD delivers (laser scanned).

BTW I know it's a massive rant and everything, but at least I'm not a hypocrite criticizing the series nor a preacher (paid or not). Fit in those terms whoever GTP user you think he does. I haven't played GT this year and most probably won't again, so I already left unless the next game or gt6's updates reach the 'unprecedented' status, because quite frankly anyone that has tried a current PC sim knows the GT series quality-wise is 10 years behind if not more (coincidentally the same date of GT4. Also at least read the iracing subforum) and that even on consoles forza, with all its limitations and lack of content for dealing with a new console and not re-using already old content, blows it out of the water because to the very least it is playable online, period.

The maintenance is coming. Update tomorrow.

Some beautiful non-existant presents are a bit late, but it is better to get them after, than getting them never. VGT Cars.

And tides will change. Communication happens. (Sorry going off on one there. Clearly I know that can't happen. Ever)

And voices will be heard in the unimaginable fashion. Sound.

And in the very near future, the shapes will become forms. Livery Editor/Track Editor.

It starts with this maintenance and it will continue to evolve. Something gets added this patch that evolves into Livery editor/Track Editor.

Progress and evolution are inevitable laws of nature that can only be postponed, never stopped." GT6 to be released on PS4.
Wouldn't COMMUNICATION have something to do with community features?
My guess:
VGT car(s)
Community featurres
Track CREATOR/That february track we were promised.

If all those things came in the next few weeks I would be content with the game, no more waiting for updates...

Sadly I don't see such a thing to be so likely.
