This one and no, it was never solved.

Yes, I speculated about actual car creator in August 2013, when this video was revealed. We never got any additional info regarding possibility to actually have car creator in GT games, although it would be amazing option. Genre had it long time ago in the original SEGA GT game and it is not that complicated thing to pull off.

We discussed it around here months ago, but I can't seem to find a thread now.

Looks like some form of kit car to me. A bit of "fit and finish" touch to the styling.

People searched high and low at the time and nothing was found out there. It certainly has a Nissan look to it with the lights, I always though it looked like the rear end had been pulled apart. If you imagine it was made of clay, you would cut a line down the middle of the rear area then pull either side out, creating those two black lines. Hard to explain, but I guess if you look at that image now you could go and push either side back 'in' and close the gap.

Well it has a rear track width of 4 centimeters, so I was halfway there. :P

It does have that crappy kit car look about it.

Please, hours can be 6 or 78.

Just to disclaim what needs to be disclaimed.

This is how I picture you right now, kicking back and watching all the commotion you've caused!

I, for one, love these days of guessing and speculation. The only thing better is update day where I pound F5 on my keyboard to refresh @Johnnypenso 's Undocumented Changes thread to find out all the little goodies we got that weren't mentioned. And I'm being serious, I do really enjoy these days, and we wouldn't get them if PD communicated like other devs do.

So far as I can tell none of the 'ghost' cars in that trailer are PD assets, just look at the R34, it's close but clearly not right, my vote was generic car models used by the video production company. None of the rest is GT6 gameplay, so I'm guessing the video production company handle the car models themselves, and this was the result.

Yes, that was one of the explanations as well

it's hard to hold back the excitement. with these Senna announcements, it's as if PoDi woke up from its winter slumber.

but in the end we all know we'll end up with a Seasonal Event for a Nismo GT-R '14 at Tsukuba Circuit...

Makes sense but still odd that nobody found trace of it anywhere. You wouldn't have thought they'd have just created their own car from scratch when it'd be much easier to use one ready made.

Perhaps it wasn't much easier to use a ready made one, imagine trying to load a DXF in Photoshop for instance (thats an analogy, not an analysis), or perhaps they were ready made (sketchup warehouse ), and why would you expect to find a trace of it anywhere?

6 hours to a new update - with a Seasonal Event who will have the "Senna’s #17 DAP Racing Kart '78" as prize?

só um chute

Not that one, this one.

It's at 0:20.

Incidentally, it has now been almost a year since GT6 was announced. It's crazy how the time goes...

EDIT: I spent like ten minutes passively looking for this video and when I finally did find it, I wound up getting tree'd by a couple of seconds by two different people. My typical luck...

And 2 seconds before that you see another car that isn't in GT6...the S7 Twin Turbo...I don't even get some of the stuff with cars appearing in videos leading up to the games release then those cars disappearing from the line up. S7, S7R are in the credits of the game but only the S7 final stage car appears.

I certainly hope we don't get a car creator, that can go horribly wrong and we have more cars than we can shake a stick at. I see some sort of logo/livery applicator along with a vinyl applicator or something. Why give us those blank slate cars that are screaming out for logos to be plastered over them to make them individualized? I wonder if Danica Patrick's car is going to someday appear in the Nascar lineup? Are they adding the Nationwide Series of cars, that would be sweet since those cars look great Camaro, Mustang, Challenger and Camry are a great look.

Time to sleep and hope nice things coming for all GT6 owners. For me i hope it is also news regarding GT7.

If sounds are in the update, then we should get some other new real-time technology at the same time. My guess is Ronda (open) and Zahara (pre-made course), and the course creator user interface part will follow later.

I don't think either are very likely, though, but they would certainly shift my tides. Whatever that means.

If PD improve the sounds in any way, my faith in PD would be restored 98%
But, being realistic, I believe the main content will be some VGT cars.

I just remembering around this time last year that @Jordan was in Silverstone for the GT6 event.

Seems May is the month of the annual GTPlanet site meltdown.

Really, its the first of two. June usually follows.

I doubt it. I also don't understand its inclusion. Look through the rear window, the front left and interior of the car aren't even modelled.

All the cars being passed in that video were ghosts, for whatever reason.
