Disqualified three times. I don't know how you people go full throttle around some of these damn corners.

First DQ was 6 minutes in. That was almost enough to discourage me completely.

If it was Suzuka, I would dominate. Nurb is just too freaking long. Too tense.

Does anyone else tighten up and sweat and find it hard to breathe while racing?

In an FXX at full speed on SS on the ring, yes. In this Lexus, no.

For those who completed the GT5 Lamborghini seasonal at Nurburgring, this one isn't too much of a task. Although, 9:20 seems like an awfully long time trial for this colour reward.

The car was somewhat strange. It's not often on GT6 that I feel as though the car's handling far exceeds its power. I'm still not sure how much is due to the 1:09 changes.

Following my struggle yesterday, today I managed to complete a single lap of Nurburgring but it was the one that mattered: 9:16.917 :gtpflag:

Finally, after all those hours my patience payed off. Now off to La Sarthe.

Now does anyone know why my font is smaller than than other people`s posts?? It`s at 4 and it`s too small and 5 seems too big.

EDIT:
Gold on Sarthe on first clean lap too.

The thing with the DQ's is that most times go off a bit It loses me time. Yea they should be cones so no shortcuts.

Anyway gold after a few "clean" laps and a lot of dq ones . 9:16.794 , don't feel confident to really push.

I hate this car. I'm having the hardest time with this. Practicing in daylight arcade mode, I'm still 7 seconds away from gold. I don't know why, but this has been the toughest challenge in GT6 except for the shifter carts at GT Arena (before that was fixed).

I didn't like it either. But, now that I have put some time in with it I'm starting to enjoy it.

At first I felt like I was fighting with the car, it's under steering, slugish acceleration and lack luster brakes. The harder I push the car the better it seems to respond.

Hopefully I can push hard enough for nine minutes to catch zona and not so hard as to find car and track limits. Lol

Going to come for you as well, let battle commence at about 6.30 am stewy

Regarding this time trial, I got a message from a random player telling me I was the fastest pad racer in the UK. :odd:

At first I thought he got the wrong guy because the Goodwood seasonal showed me that their is quite a few of them.

Turns out he was talking about this TT and upon checking for myself, it turns out he was right.

Out of curiosity, I checked for the next pad using Brit and it was one the racers from the Goodwood event and he was almost 4 seconds back. :D

Had I not got that message, I wouldn't've even noticed that. :P

Cool. I'm the slowest wheel racer in this event. I won't sleep until I get that paint chip or throw my wheel through the flat screen.

If you have the perseverance, you'll get the paint chip long before the wheel hits the flat screen.

Unless you're insanely aggressive, the car won't step out on you.
Aside from the first turn, try and stay in 3rd or above around the ring and don't go above 6th down the straights. 👍

What makes the Ring tricky is the length (obviously :P) as on a normal track you'll be back at the turn you messed up before within a short time and you'll know immediately what to change to improve your time through muscle memory.

At the Ring however, due to the length and the shear amount of turns you take, it's possible to make the same mistake at the same turn due to how long it takes to get back to it.

All things considered, don't give up. Stay calm and focused and the lap will come to you. ;)

Calm? I almost bit the neck off my beer bottle after botching the brake zone after the long straight. I'm ready to stab myself in the eye. I don't know why this combo is so difficult for me.

Well that'll get you nowhere.

I would say at this point just to comeback to it at a later point fully refreshed.

You're not the only one who's also choked at that section, I actually start scrubbing off speed through the uphill left-right so I can still brake late and not worry about overshooting the turn.

I used to go back to the AMG MB School in GT5 when I had issues with a particular section.
Granted you can't use the same car, physics are different...
...but you can re-run a section without doing a whole lap.

You can run it wet too, if you need to calibrate your braking foot. :sly:

I think I need to run my liver wet, if you know what I mean. Grrr...

I think I have the ring down well, and I can do the GP section in my sleep with grippy cars (I confess to grinding RedBull Standards), but I just can't figure out this Lexus! And I detest the color orange.

Thanks for the tips. I'll resume when my stepdaughters relinquish the TV.

Hello everyone!

There are some people in here, that in the Seasonal Events run with 2-3, even more, profiles.

I will start with a typical case of CRANK_U1 and Don_One79, the same person with two accounts, which in previous editions with Suzuki in Apricot Hill Race way, made two times very high in the rankings. He was 1th and 32th. Now in Madrid he is still running with these two accounts, and he is 27th and 33th by now!

Another classic case is the OTS_SAW-IV and OTS_moh and, very possibly, with a third account as THC_CP-E

I want to ask you:
Why don’t you choose only one account, of the many, in each event?
Is it right?
Do you think that in this way your country is better advertised?
Why are you still doing this?
Do you know that you injustice thousands at a time world in the world, where all the remaining “clean” players are struggling for a good position in the rankings?
Do you respect all these guys?
If someone finished in the 100th position, is this his true position? Or he could be 3, 5, 10 or more places higher?
Would you love to do this to you?
Can you finally stop this injustice?

Do you know about the FAIR PLAY??? If not, you can read it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sportsmanship

All these are not just for these two people, but also for those from other countries using the same tactics!

Also, I write all these because I feel underprivileged.

I think we can have a clean Leaderboards. It is up to us!
You know , its their game and they are free to play it however they like. :)
Unless people are cheating the leaderboards are clean. ;)

With all the real injustices and atrocities going on in the world , I think this is hardly an issue to lose any sleep over :(

Crank is a very good member of GTP and shares tunes and tips with others in the community. In fact he is the only regular top 10 player that shares tunes tips etc on a regular basis and he is certainly not eliteist. ( doodle and et share also sometimes ) he also answers PM questions and helps lesser players like myself. I don't see any of the top Aliens sharing on here and they only post when it suits them. So leave Crank alone at least he is friendly.
I really don't care how many accounts he and others use. :D

This has to be one of the most frustrating TT's for the average drivers like myself.

With it taking almost 10 minutes to complete a full lap and the 6-7-8 minute resets and the sheer white knuckle ride towards the end it's on par with the hardest TT's out there.

Finding time and keeping your body from saying "no more" for several runs so you can get adjusted to the car, can be the toughest part.

However the sheer thrill of getting Bronze, then Silver and finally Gold cannot be underestimated or beaten.

Unlike a certain test in GT5 I've actually felt, you know what I think I'll give it another go, even after Gold.

Awesome, simply awesome.

After a couple of complete laps did a 9:15,199 9:13,826 with DS3 and ABS1.

Like this TT, good to play while watching the 24hrs live, but prefer shorther tracks for hot lapping.
Do believe the sunset has changed from before with this orange glow.

Big help for me is to turn the ghost, the track display and all other information off so you don't get distracted by them.
Than just enjoy this fantastic track. Will certainly try to improve my time.

Completed this event yesterday and for me, the hardest part was driving a clean lap. If you're finding it difficult; remember that it's a very long lap, 2 or 3 seconds can be lost or made back over 2 sections. Keep it clean and concentrate on keeping the flow.

As a side note, this car although not ridiculously fast in a straight line seems to have plenty of grip...

Good luck.

What a shame... best track in the game combined with a **** car

Did my 1 lap (9'00'xxx), won't be bothering with it again.

Shame, as the GSX and GT40 TT were awesome and gave me a bit of enthusiasm back for GT6 TT's.

I officially hate you.

My best (complete) lap is 9:23.818 in arcade mode starting in daylight. Whenever I'm on a 9:20 pace I either lose time somewhere, or leave the track.

I need more beer.

After like 5/6 attempts I've manage 9:18.5!! Even tho I know the track like my right hand, but the car with this tires is hard to drive. Idk, maybe I can shave like a few seconds but 8:47 (bathe best time if I'm not wrong) is for me unreachable :(

But I'll give my best.
