Not knowing how Canadian TV works I can only say, OK. That sucks.

Remember that the Others don't think of themselves as "bad guys". They're scientists (or some such) just doing their thing by whatever means necessary. Henry's statement about the Others is what convinced me.. "These people you seem to think are your enemies". That makes it very clear that Henry doesn't consider the Others to be their "enemies". And all he would have to go off of is what they described to him. And they would only have told him bad things.. based soley on their descriptions of the Others, Henry should have thought of them as evil crazy maniacs wandering the jungle... but he doesn't. He knows the Others.
I like your thought process here. Now, the preview shows them finding the balloon. Is Henry's story legit and he was taken by teh Others but then brainwahsed by their fruity little group (South Park reference) or is Henry originally one of them and is making up the story of someone they captured/killed?

The preview also showed Sayid leveling a gun on someone in the/a hatch. Unless they find another hatch used by the Others I can only assume that this is Henry or someone he suddenly distrusts. Let's assume it is Henry, since he is the most likely suspect at the moment. What else do they find to prove to him that Henry is one of the Others? How does this confrontation go down? Does Henry die a martyr to split the survivors or does he fess up and risk torture, interrogation, and even a slow, painful death?

He also said to Jin, "Pearl". I think he was looking for a birthday present. Then again, maybe he was just looking for some food.
DOH! Good call. I was even watching the video on a small screen next to my Word window so I wouldn't miss anything. I think the Brutus sized Blue Moon beer from Applebee's and the hour were fogging my brain. I crashed once I got finished.

You are correct. He did say pearl. Perhaps he was going to give Rose a pearl, or even try to find enough for a homemade necklace. Nothing says sorry like going out, digging up oysters, cracking them open, stealing the pearls, drilling small holes in them (without cracking them), and then stringing them on a home-woven piece of string. Rose must be hardcore if it requires that to get forgivness.

I agree with Bernard on this fight. What is he supposed to do, take her across the island to the Others compound and get a five course meal?

I’m in no position to comment on the episode as I haven’t seen it yet, due to the usual slow rate of episode “acquisition”.

Walter. One or both are always around when bad things happen. Ever notice that?
Was, Walter intentional, ie. Walt + water/rain? Yeap, whenever it rains on the island you know that something’s going to happen. Has it been explained yet, how back with Boone, Locke predicted that it was going to rain?

How many days have they been on the island at this point? This could give us a clue to the date.
Basics! A certain episode, “The Other 48 Days” might be a place to start, and I’m pretty sure season one covers the first 40 days on the island. So juggle everything around, and take a guess :P!

It is made by Widmore Labs. I know we have seen that before. Where?
Apparently the Lost podcast said to look out for the Widmore name. Some say its DHARMA’s Amway division ;).

Customers with similar searches also bought,
He is completely insensitive to Jin’s lack of English.
Transcript and sound bite of what’s being said between Bernard and Sawyer .

Some people have already moved onto the Extra For Experts homework, discovering what the whispers say. Provided these guys aren’t pulling a hoax, Lost just got even deeper. Everyone has imaginary friends called Dave, even Hugo Weaving. PandoraX’s post sums everything up nicely,

If you are able to look at the pics up now, they also show Hurley & his "friend" conspiring about something at the top of some stairs, the "friend" has his fingers to his lips, as though they're trying to hide something... not sure what, but Hurley is holding some papers.

Yes, I think it is the reason why Hurley is there.

More interestingly, why Libby was there? Have to think... the only reason we think she is a psychologist is because she told us herself. Sounds now like it is more likely she has psych knowledge is because she is a psychopath that knows how to play the system, she has been institutionalized in the past.

Also, it would explain why she lied about Hurley stepping on her foot on the plane (as a scenario of how they met). She did not want to jog his memory that the real meeting took place at Santa Rosa.

Santa Rosa is going to be a very interesting flashback. Don't forget that Locke's mom was also there in the 90's (commited twice).

It’s also been noticed that Henry Gale’s long lost twin got a great career with light bulbs. There’ve also been reported sightings of Zekes in the first season’s pilot, along with Nessie, Godzilla and Mr. Yeti himself…

There’s a tonne of other spoilers but they can be saved for another day ;).

Actually that was a typo on my part. I meant to say Vincent, but I guess the Vincent/Walt relationship was on my mind. So, I meant Vincent, the dog.

My write up has been edited to correct this.

The problem is that I don't think we have a date that has ever been mentioned to go by. There are theories abound but it could January, 2010. I mean, Arzt did say it was almost cyclone season or something like that. Isn't that something like November to May in the southern hemisphere? I know they just had two in Australia.

Perhaps it is how they fund themselves by licensing out the common uses of their results, like in Men in Black.

Too many of these are blatantly not who they say they are. Some of them are completely different actors. I take these one at a time. So far I haven't seen anyone in the background other than other Losties. I even go so far as to pull up my own video and go frame by frame. I think this is people trying too hard. They are usually the ones that still believed it was purgatory until a week before.

Gotcha, although I thought Walter was rather clever 👍!

Supposedly captures of the plane tickets might reveal a date?

2010– whaaat? I was under the impression that it was set at present, well 2004 anyway. New Zealand’s cyclone season is apparently November through to April, however considering NZ’s position in relation to the rest of the Pacific it can vary. Two years ago at school we studied Tropical Cyclones in the South Pacific, I’ve forgotten it all already and I was the top academic student :embarrassed:…

I wouldn’t be surprised, as the original funds would’ve probably run dry after years of study without results, (if that’s the case).

Nice ! I must admit these comparisons can be quite funny, especially seeing how far people can stretch things out of proportion :)!

The ones that I have seen say 2009. I can't verify if they are legitimate. They are supposed enlargements of screen shots, but how do I know they aren't faked?

I didn't mean that literally. I meant it as, for all we know it could be 2010. Heck it could also be 2003. Who knows?

So, assuming they are in the region that we believe them to be we can assume they left in fall and are heading into winter (Spring into summer locally for them.)?
I wouldn’t be surprised, as the original funds would’ve probably run dry after years of study without results, (if that’s the case).
It is how NASA stays afloat. One or two big experiments burns up their government budget. An organization with multiple fields of study could create many products for retail.

At least I do this stuff when at work or drinking. I have yet to see Locke type the numbers accurately on the first try. And he worked in an office all day on a computer. (of course, so do I.) :dunce:

It's 2004. I don't think it's up anymore, but they used to have an Oceanic Air website, that actually listed Flight 815 as having been lost in September 2004. They had the date, but I can't remember what it was. The 21st, maybe. Might even have been the date the first episode was aired. :)

I'd say they've been there about two months or so.. sixty days, give or take.

The reason why the date has been of such debate is because one of the writers said in an interview that when the plane crashed is of importance. He said that they have never once officially said that it was September 2004.

This of course sent any fans that read it into a whirlwind of debate.

I personally like the idea of 2009 because if the show runs six seasons, as they claim to have the story outlined for, then it means the final season would have show time and real time being the same. Of course, that is just what I think would be cool, it has no factual basis behind it.

Never fear Lost fans. My write-up is here.

SPOILER ALERT

Here it is: the write up of last night's episode. Hopefully it aired properly for everyone.

Remember: My thoughts are in blue

Episode 17: Lockdown I prefer Lockedown
This is a Locke-centric episode.

FLASHBACK: Family first
We find Locke living happily with Helen. He finally seems to have moved on with his life after his father conned him. While he is cleaning dishes Helen is reading the newspaper obituaries. What is it with women and obituaries? My wife does this. She asks him if his father's last name was Cooper because he has died.

Next we see Locke at the funeral for his father and Helen is with him. It is how he decides to move past him. During the service Locke notices two men standing a distance away watching them. On the other side he notices a car with tinted windows. Locke is asked to say something and he says, "I forgive you." Before anything else is said the car takes off at high speed and leaves the cemetery.

Next we see Locke at his job as a home inspector. The house he is inspecting is in good condition and he lets the woman know that is going to buy know. She is Middle Eastern and looks a lot like Sayid's Nadia. IMDB says it is Nadia. Interesting crossover. After he finishes with Nadia he notices the car from his father's funeral sitting down the road watching him. He decided to approach the car and see what is up. As he nears the window rolls down and it is his father.

The two go to bar to talk and his father explains that he conned two men out of $700,000 and he had to fake his death to hide. He has the money hidden in a safety deposit box and wants Locke to get it for him. He will pay Locke $200,000 for doing this. The distrust is obvious but he takes the key anyway.

Locke goes and gets the money and then when he gets home he is ready to take Helen out for a fancy dinner but finds the two men from the funeral standing in his house. Helen is visibly scared and watches as the men try to find out if Locke knows anything about his father or the money. Locke lies to them and even lets them search his work bag, which only has his work papers. After the two men leave Helen asks Locke if anything they were saying was true and Locke lies to her and says no.

Next we see Locke meeting his father to give him the money at an airport hotel that had been prearranged. While talking Locke's father asks about Helen and Locke says that he plans to propose to her that night. When they finish Locke's father lays the $200,000 on the table and heads out the door only to find Helen standing there. Helen begins to run off and Locke chases after her trying to explain, but she can't stand the betrayal. Locke, in a desperate attempt, proposes to her in the parking lot but she says no and drives away. During all of this Locke's father is loading his cab and getting ready to leave. We see Locke standing alone in the parking lot as a Oceanic plane flies overhead. We never see him take the money.

MAIN STORY Careful who you trust

We find Sayid, Ana, and Charlie searching the jungle for Henry's parachute. Sayid is ready to give up and go torture Henry some more but Ana isn't ready to quit just yet. She wants to look in other areas nearby to make sure he didn't make a mistake. Sayid has had enough.

They yell for Charlie and don't get an answer. They continue to argue and then yell for him again, still no answer. At this point they begin to focus on Charlie but he finally answers and calls them to him. When they get there he is standing over a grave marked with a stick cross. Sayid is determined that it proves nothing without the balloon. That is when Ana notices that they are not being rained on looks up. A giant read hot air balloon with a yellow smiley face is in the trees.

We cut to Jack and Locke where we left off last week. Henry has just told his story of how if he were an Other he would set up their friends in an ambush. Suddenly Jack's thought that Henry might not be another completely changes. He takes away the cereal and demands that Henry draws the map again so he can find them. Locke talks Jack down saying that they are too far now. Jack tells Locke to put Henry back in the armory and then walks out. Locke sits there calmly until Henry says, "Why do you let him talk to you like that?" Locke snaps and grabs Henry and shoves him into the armory.

Jack goes out and when he finds Hurley he asks if he has seen Sayid. Hurley tells him that he went off with Ana and Charlie the previous day. He says he could help more if he were still in the loop and Jack just smiles and asks, "What loop? There is no loop." Then Claire comes up with Aaron asking Jack to look at him. As he walks away Hurley says, "Loop, Dude."

Meanwhile, back in the hatch Locke is riding the exercise bike when he suddenly hears a woman's voice and static over the alarm speakers. He turns of the music and goes to see what the noise is. The speakers are still making a lot of static and occasionally a snippet of a voice can be heard. As it quiets down Locke goes and gets a screwdriver and then stands on a chair to try and see if the speaker is messed up. When he touches it the speaker comes to life again, but the voice is still too garbled to be understood.

Henry hears the noise from inside the armory and starts asking Locke what the noise is. He begins to yell until Locke yells at him to shut up. Is it me or is he getting more aggressive lately? As Locke continues to mess with the speaker finally the voice can be heard and it says, "Lockdown will commence in 10, 9, 8…" You get it. Locke begins to scurry and look at the computer but it is at 47 minutes. He comes back as the countdown reaches 0 and the blast doors begin to drop. He tries to rush our but they are closing too fast so he grabs a crowbar and slides it under the last door to close.

He tries to use the crowbar to pry the doors open but is unable to. Henry begins yelling at him again and finally Locke tells him what happened. Henry volunteers to help, but only if Locke stops the rest of the Losties from killing him when Ana and the others come back. Locke tells him that if he is telling the truth then he has nothing to fear but Henry explains how they all want someone to blame for what has happened to them and how, right now, he is it. He tells Locke that eh will only help if he promises to protect him, no matter what. Locke opens the door.

They take the bar from the weight set and use it to get good leverage on the blast door and get it up a couple of feet. Then they stick the tool box under the door to hold it open. Once it is braced Locke decides he is going to try and crawl under. He starts to slide his legs under when the tool box crushes and the door slams into his legs. One of the bars used to lock it into the floor goes into his thigh. Locke has Henry get the weights and use them to prop the door open so it relieves the pressure from his legs. However, Locke still can't get out due to the bar in his leg.

Realizing that time to push the button was nearing Locke tells Henry about the button and asks him to go through the vents and push the button. When Locke relays the numbers to Henry he remembers them without a problem. It's like he's been watching the show for both seasons.

Henry goes to get into the vents through the pantry but falls and hits his head. While Henry is lying there knocked out the alarm begins to sound. Locke keeps yelling at him until he wakes back up. Locke urges him to go quickly and Henry goes into the vent. While Locke is lying there waiting the alarm gets more urgent and then eventually runs out and we can hear the engine-like noise in the background.

Suddenly the sound stops and we can hear the numbers flipping back, but then the lights go out. A second later a black light hidden in the wall comes on and the blast doors reveal hidden markings. They appear to be a map of some sort. I haven't had c chance to examine them yet. A second later the lights come back on and the blast doors rise.

Locke yells for Henry but he doesn't get an answer, so he drags him self into the computer room looking for him. Locke is screaming by this point when Henry comes from around the corner. Locke asks him how he made it all reset and Henry says that he just put the numbers in. When the lights went out he was starting to head back through the vent. He helps Locke back to the sofa and sets his leg up. Locke explains how he thought he had run and now he trusts him.

SIDE STORY: Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. Know when to walk away.

After checking out Claire's baby Jack checks out Libby's hand where she got hurt by a seas urchin. He recommends Neosporin but Sawyer has it and the going rate is 10 loads of laundry. Jack sees Sawyer playing poker with Kate and Hurley for mangoes and papayas. Jack goes over and tells Hurley to fold because he knows Sawyer has him beat. Sawyer harasses Jack and eventually coaxes him into playing.

Over time Jack manages to win all of the fruit and begins to challenge Sawyer for the medicines that he stole from the hatch. As the game goes on Jack ends up getting all the medicine back, winning the last hand by calling Sawyer's bluff and winning with a pair of 9s. As Jack is leaving Sawyer asks why Jack didn't go for the guns and Jack says that when he wants the guns he will get the guns.

Jack starts to head back to the hatch when Kate catches up and asks if she can use the shower. Jack lies and tells her that the plumbing is broken but he'll let her know when it is fixed. Then Kate tells him that she was glad he beat Sawyer. That is when Jack offers to walk her back,

When they turn to go a flash of light catches their eye. They go to check it out and find a parachute connected to a beacon and a pallet loaded with more DHARMA Initiative food. And now we know how the hatch gets restocked.

BACK TO THE MAIN STORY: The truth

While Kate and Jack are looking at the food Sayid, Ana, and Charlie walk up. Jack asks them what they found.

In the hatch Locke is just getting settled and talking to Henry when Jack comes in and demands to know why Henry is out. Ana, Sayid, Charlie, and Kate are right behind them. Sayid has the gun pointed at Henry.

Henry asks Sayid if he found his balloon. Sayid informs him that he found the balloon and the grave, but he still didn't believe him. So Sayid dug up the grave and it was not a woman in the grave, it was a man. The man's name was Henry Gale, and Sayid has the man's ID. It was a black man, but definitely not our Henry.

Questions:

1) Who is Henry really?
2) What was on the blast doors?
3) Did Henry reset the blast doors?
4) Why did the blast doors go down? ----I think it was automated during food drops.
5) WTF is going on!?!?!?!?!?

What do you guys think?

FoolKiller
Questions:

1) Who is Henry really?

One of the Others, of course. :)

2) What was on the blast doors?

I've actually seen some pretty good pictures around the 'net already. It's a map of the island. Not an accurate map, just sort of a general layout. It shows the approximate location of seven (possibly eight) Dharma stations on the island. Including the Swan (our "hatch"), the Arrow (the abandoned one the Tailies found), and the Staff (the medical facility seen in that Claire flashback episode). One other is called the Flame. The others are unnamed on the map, but one of them has "the pearl?" written next to it.

The map is covered in notes, both in English and Latin, pointing out different things about the island. Most of it is meaningless at this point (no doubt to be explained later), but two things of note were "The final resting place of Magnus Hanso / Black Rock" (a definite link to Alvar Hanso, methinks), and the name "Cerberus" appears several times, usually relating to some kind of "activity". It also refers to Cerberus as a "system". The current hot theory is that Cerberus is the name of the Monster.

3) Did Henry reset the blast doors?

I'm thinking not.

4) Why did the blast doors go down? ----I think it was automated during food drops.

My friend Noël came up with that one last night when we watched the episode, and that seems to be one of the more popular theories online, that the station goes into lockdown while the plane is overhead making the drop. The reasons for this are, of course, unknown.

It's mentioned on the map that "activity is minimal during lockdown and restocking procedures", which I believe refers to Cerberus, since that note was right under another note saying "primary nexus of Cerberus related activity", east of the Swan station (assuming east is to the right on that map).

5) WTF is going on!?!?!?!?!?

Damn good question.. hehe.

The map, like most "tidbits" on the show, looks amazing at first glance, like they're giving us tons and tons of info, but they're really not.. it raises a lot of questions, but doesn't really answer any. :)

Thanks as always! 👍 Missed both of the last eps now, got some catching up to do, but sounds like it's getting better and better :)

Only theory related to the blast doors is that they wanted to lock people in when the plane (or whatever dropped the supplies off) flew over head.

How the hell did no one on the Island spot something dropping a large crate with a 'chute though?!

Cerberus sounds like a very likely name for the security system thing.

Damn that was an interesting episode. I reckon all the stuff about the button having to be pushed is a lie, they just don't want anyone to see that map.

I don't think the doors coming down has anything to do with the button. The clock was reading 47:00 when the doors came down.

I honestly think that Henry is an Other and knows how to operate the hatch. After putting in the numbers I think he went to reset the doors, otherwise a dead or trapped Locke does nothing for gaining trust with the group. When he was trying to reset the doors I think he hit the switch for the blacklight by accident trying to find the door switch in the dark. They flickered like a flourescent black light bulb does when it first comes on.

I guarantee when Locke is up and healthy that he is searching for a way to control the doors and get the black light back on.

So our Monster, or security system as Danielle called it, shares the name with ancient mythology's guard dog of Hades? This is curious.

Cerberus was defeated multiple times by being outsmarted (Locke?) and overpowered (Eko?).

Hades was also where the good and the evil were separated. (The Others take the good and kill the bad)

Also, those who passed into Hades could not leave even if they did get past Cerberus. They had to cross the river Styx (Acheron in some tellings). Those who could get past Cerberus could not get past the river because Charon, the ferryman would not give them a ride (The Others on their boat?).

This is all very intriguing.

Has anyone read Dante's Inferno? I know Cerberus and Charon are discussed in there. It might present a different take that could coincide with Lost even better.

There are a few pics floating around, but this one looks the best.

It's been added under other Lost forums.

I hadn't been to the Black Rock since season 1. I didn't realize they had some good maps, but I think they have a lot of assumptions made to get those.

Ok just some thinking outloud here but i beleive there is a mathmatical problem on the door.

the code to the computer is 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

Now where the flame station is it has √16, √64, √225. The square root of these numbers are 4, 8 and 15.

There appears to be an algebra problem on the right of the map too.

Before the number sequence it also says 3 out of 6 which seems appropriate due to the use of 4, 8 and 15 on the blast door.

Also the Latin in the top left has not yet been translated. The best i can come with is this

Aegrescit: to fall ill, become troubled, grow worse.

Medendo (there is no direct latin word apparently)
medicor : to heal, cure.
medicus : doctor, physician.
mediocris : ordinary, average, fair, moderate, mediocre.
meditatio : practice, preparation, getting ready / consideration, pondering.
meditor : meditatus : to reflect upon, consider, ponder / practice.
medium : everyday life, the common good, the public eye.
medius : middle, the middle of, central, midst.
medie : moderately.

The womans voice on the loudspeaker to i suspect to be the girl who saved Claire from the hatch. Also the woman i suspect to be Danielles child (stating the obvious probably). The girl who helped claire i assume would have been on the island during one of the "drop offs" and was trying to warn the losties about the potential hazards which can occure during a drop off.

This leads me to my next chain of thought. I think that the blast doors may be activiated remotely by the third party supplying the food and the monster (cerberous?) actually delivers it ( hense the reason nobody saw it fall from the sky). Obviously the third party wants the people originally on the island to think that there are food drops from above and possibly to keep them safe while cerberous is moving around the island so to maintain this facade they simply lock them up using the blast doors which are already in place.

It also looks as if some of the writing on the door still has not been deciphered due to the small print. Im going to see if i can get anywhere with it.

Spec...

Some interesting thoughts there Specialized. I can only hope they will explain these mysteries before the end of the season. As for the next episode, anyone seen the promo yet? Looks very interesting.

Before the number sequence it also says 3 out of 6

OK, these are the only two things I could debate. I agree with almost everything else.

Doin't forget that the orientation video said that it was for the swan station (3 of 6) I believe this is what the 3 of 6 refers to. Swan is the third of six stations. At least that is how I see it.

The voice over the speakers sounded kind of automated, I was assuming it was just an automated countdown sequence.

I believe the girl to be Alex, Danielle's child, just because they have similar hair and eye color and the age range seems right.

I can't say I disagree with this but it seems odd. I could see the parachute being missed just because it was at the hatch which seems to be about a mile in and everyone else was either inside or on the beach by a fire (the light would make seeing other lights difficult).

I do like that you are thinking creatively here. Everyone is assuming that because it was attached to a parachute it fell from the sky. These assumptions are what the writers feed on in order to mislead us.

I did realise my possible mistake a few moments ago towards the voice on the loudspeaker. Seing as they thrid party operating the doors want the people on what we think is an island to be safe then they would have a warning to stop people being crushed.

I beleive the idea of the "island" being a peninsula is becoming stronger, at the top of the map it refers to access roads however they could be going from the small manufactuering facitlity to one of the other hatches?

Another things i have noticed is there is what looks to be another facility at the top left of the map which has been crossed out. Could this have been the original Cadaceus/Caduceus (there are two different spellings on the blast doors) but was moved to the "staff" hatch due to this 1985 accident.

I dont know if im clutching at straws but is it strangely familiar that the eqyption glifs that appears on the clock seem to match up to the different hatch names?

There is a bird (the swan), there is what seems to be a staff (the first glif). The last glif that seems to be an arrow and the third possibly a flame?

Maybe the timer when counted down to 0 opens the centre hatch. It might be the chamber where biological experiements are being help cative or its keeping a experiment that went horribly wrong (the 1985 accident maybe)? there is talk of gene theropy in with regards to the polar bears.

As a further note i cant see the food drop being actually dropped by plane or helecopter. The losties are apparently on an island which would make dropping such an object quite hard especially with the accuracy to get it that close to the hatch and for that accuracy to be acheived the vessel carrying the food drop would have to be quite low so im sure at least one of the losties would have heard a aeroplane or helecopter.

I dont know if im clutching at straws but is it strangely familiar that the eqyption glifs that appears on the clock seem to match up to the different hatch names?

I was thinking the same thing this weekend, but my POS 7 year old computer at home wasn't cooperating with me. Nice to see I'm not the only one with that idea. :)

Maybe it requires the numbers? So what is that, like an Apple IIE?

Just kidding. I hope you have at least done upgrades. You may want to try upgrading the OS if you are stil using 95 or 98. XP is somewhat less problematic.

If you plan to buy a new one soon I know a good place online that I have used twice now. They are refurbished PCs but they lasted until the software minimum requirements were better than the hardware.

SPOILER ALERT

My thoughts will be in blue.

Episode 18: Dave

FLASHBACK: (Things weren't what they seemed)

Hurley is in a session with a psychiatrist and the doctor asks him about his diet and then his homework assignment. Hurley mentions that Dave thought it was stupid assignment. The doctor tells him that Dave might be a negative influence.

After his session Hurley goes to the gym where we meet Dave, a bald man in a bathrobe. Dave is in a basketball game but no one is passing him the ball and he is screaming at them. He then tells Hurley that it is taco night and they should go eat. Hurley is hesitant but then goes with him.

Hurley is playing Connect Four with the guy he originally got the numbers from (Lenny) and Dave is sitting next to him making fun of Lenny. Dave makes fun of Hurley for eating celery as a snack and encourages him to steal one of Lenny's graham crackers. Hurley steals one and then a nurse comes by to hand out his medicine. Dave convinces Hurley not to take the medicine so that they can escape. While this conversation is going on Hurley's doctor comes by and asks Hurley if something is wrong with the medicine. Hurley says no and then the doctor says hi to Dave. He makes small talk with Dave and then takes their picture for the bulletin board. Before he leaves he makes sure that Hurley takes his medicine. After he leaves Hurley shows Dave that he hid the pills in his mouth.

At Hurley's next session the doctor asks Hurley why he doesn't like the way he looks. Hurley gets upset and says that if he wasn't so fat someone wouldn't have died. The doctor goes on to explain that the deck was built for eight people and had 23 people on it, it would have collapsed whether Hurley was out there or not. Hurley still blames himself and his weight. As the doctor still goes on Hurley begins to get angry and says that Dave is right, the doctor is just a quack. The doctor then pulls out the picture he had taken earlier and where Dave was is an empty chair.

While Hurley is sleeping he is awakened by Dave. When Hurley tells him he isn't real Dave slaps him. Dave tells him it is time to escape. They sneak out and when they come to a locked window Dave tells Hurley he has the keys, he stole them from the doctor. Hurley opens the window and Dave jumps out. Hurley tells Dave he isn't coming because he isn't real. He closes and relocks the window.

MAIN STORY: (Things aren't what they seem)

We see Hurley talking to Libby and he is telling her about his food stash. She explains that if he wants to make it right he has to get rid of it. He begins to do this when Sun and Jin run around the corner yelling about finding food.

Hurley and Libby follow and they arrive at the food drop. Everyone is all over it trying to grab food. They decide to let Hurley hand it out again, but he refuses. Libby suggests they all maturely get food but it turns into a mad grab fight.

Hurley sees Dave in a bathrobe standing off to the side. He goes to follow him but he disappears into the jungle. Hurley chases after him but only finds a slipper. Hurley goes out to the beach where Libby joins him and she asks him who he went chasing after but he hides the slipper and says it was no one.

Later Hurley goes back to where he had his stash and finds a box of fish crackers (GOLDFISH!!!). While he is eating his crackers he hears footsteps behind him. He turns and sees Dave. When he accuses him of not being there Dave throws a rock and hits Hurley in the stomach. Dave picks up a coconut (looks like a rock) and takes off into the jungle. Hurley chases him and eventually comes out where Charlie is now helping Eko build whatever he is building. Eko is refusing to tell Charlie what they are building.

Hurley goes to Sawyer to see if he has the same medicine that Hurley was taking in the hospital. Sawyer asks what it is for and when Hurley tells him he his seeing Dave Sawyer says, "That guy over there?" Then he laughs at Hurley and Hurley jumps him and starts beating him up. Jin pulls Hurley off Sawyer and Sawyer calls Hurley crazy. Hurley says, "I'm not crazy." (Is it me or do Hurley and Locke both have problems accepting their disabilities?)

Libby finds Hurley packing a backpack with clothes a gallon jug of peanut butter. Hurley says that he is going to the caves because no one is living there anymore and he can be one of those guys with bard to his knees, no clothes and throwing rocks at people. Libby calls after him and he tells her that she can't help him.

On the way to the caves Hurley's bag rips open and the peanut butter spills on the ground. Hurley starts scooping it up with a leaf and eating it when he hears a noise behind him. It is Dave. Dave tells him that everything Hurley has experienced since he left him outside that window has been imaginary. None of it is real, not the lottery, not the numbers, not the island. He leads Hurley to a cliff and tells him the only way to make it end is to jump so that his brain will snap back to reality. Then Dave jumps and lands in the water.

Hurley is yelling after him when Libby walks up and asks who Dave is. Hurley goes off about how she isn't real and none of it is real. A chick like her wouldn't like him in reality. Libby asks whet the name of the man she helped with the broken leg on the other side of the island was and Hurley didn't know. Libby said he didn't know because he didn't imagine him. It was real. She also tells him that by accusing her of being made up is offensive and that her feelings for him aren't imaginary. Then she kisses him. Hurley tells her she should do it again so he can make sure it was real. Hurley is convinced and they walk off holding hands.

SURPRISE FLASHBACK: (This had to be saved until now)

We see Hurley taking the picture with Dave again from a different angle, only this time there is no Dave. Hurley is just putting his arm around Dave. Then the camera pans and we see the side of a woman as the nurse gives her medicine. When the woman takes the medicine we see her face. It is Libby. (This is why Hurley recognized her. This island is full of Looney Tunes)

SIDE STORY: (Main plot – You can't handle the truth!)

Jack is nursing Locke's leg and tells him that he has to stay off it for three weeks due to a hairline fracture. Jack mentions the wheelchair but Locke snaps and says no. Kate mentions they have crutches and Locke agrees. Locke then asks Jack why he didn't run. Jack tells him it was because he thought his story would check out and he could start spying.

Sayid is interrogating Henry with Ana-Lucia. Henry is now not just locked up but tied up as well. Henry is telling them that he was part of the rescue party to find the real Henry and they found him with his neck broken. Sayid says that he should have checked Henry's pockets because he had a note written on a 20 dollar bill to his wife. How would he write that with a broken neck? How did he know her name?

At this point Henry gives in and says that he didn't kill him. He won’t tell them anything because He will kill them. Ana asks if He is the man with the beard (Zeek) and Henry says that he is no one. Sayid presses more but Henry says they will kill them, so Sayid pulls out the gun and says he will kill him. While holding him at gunpoint Henry just keeps repeating that he is a good person. (I want to know how they define "good") Sayid counts to three and fires but Ana knocks the gun away and throws Sayid against the counter in one swift move.

Jack runs in wanting to know what is going on and Locke starts yelling wanting to know what happened. Jack has to yell at Locke that he is taking care of it. This makes Locke angry and he hits the underside of the top bunk.

Later Locke has his crutches and goes to Ana-Lucia asking to talk to Henry. Ana says that she doesn't think that is a good idea. Locke says he doesn't care what she thinks. He just wants five minutes.

Ana lets Locke in and he asks for Henry's real name. Henry tells him that he should just use Henry, he is used to it. Locke asks if he was caught on purpose and Henry asks if he really thinks he would go through all this on purpose. Locke says that he wanted to find the hatch. Henry tells him the hatch is nothing. He never entered the numbers. He stood there and watched it count down and the hieroglyphics popped up and the noise started up, but then it all stopped and the counter reset. He never entered the numbers.

When Locke accuses him of lying again Henry says that he is done lying.

So I only have three questions:

1) Are we going to get ripped off one day and find out it is all made up by Hurley?
2) Is Henry lying about the numbers or not?
3) WTF is going on!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hey, only an hour and a half after the show finished airing. I think that deserves a check!

1) Are we going to get ripped off one day and find out it is all made up by Hurley?

I doubt it. The producers have said that what's happening isn't a dream or any kind of hallucination. What "Dave" was saying about the island was simply Hurley's mind trying to rationalize things while in an unstable situation (panic attack, schizophrenia, whatever).

2) Is Henry lying about the numbers or not?

I think so, yes. Whether it's his mission, or whether he's simply vindictive at having been found out, I think he wants them to let the clock run down. He made it sound like he doesn't know anything, but he's one of the Others.. he knows a HELL of a lot about what's going on. He knows exactly what the Swan is there for, and he knows exactly what the button is there for. He knows what's going to happen when it hits zero.

3) WTF is going on!?!?!?!?!?!?

As usual, not a clue. :)
