I bet Altanta folk were proud of themselves when former Brave, Mike Hampton, got railed tonight 7-2 as we lost to the Braves. We led 1-0 in the Top of the 1st, but end up trailing 2-1 after one inning. We'd get one more run, then the Braves just beat our asses BAD. So we lost 7-2.

Saturday afternoon's match involves Roy Oswalt (HOU) vs. Jair Jurrjens (ATL). MLB on FOX. Let's try not to look stupid (again) on national TV, Astros...

Randy Johnson struck out the first 5 batters, and retired the first 11! He was beast tonight, he went into the 8th allowing 0 runs, a couple hits and 9 strikeouts. He was on fire. Giants relief is struggling a bit and gave up 2 runs in the 8th were Wilson had to come in and save their ass. Wilson came back in the 9th and finished his 6th save. Giants beat the Rockies 3-2. And the Giants have won 8 of their last 10. Which gives us a 11-10 record and are now 2nd place in the NL West. But the Dodgers are slowing down!

Also, Andre Eithier said the cold winding weather favored Lincecum Wednesday night... What a wuss, I was their that night and I was sitting down with 2 t-shirts and was fine. Also the Dodgers have yet to get a win off of Lincecum :)

D-Backs beat the Brewers last night, 5-2, not without a little contoversy though after Tony Clark hit a 3 run double down the left field line that looked to have gone foul, but the umps called it fair which didn't make the crowd in Miller Park very happy.

There was a rain delay in Atlanta, but right now, it's a 1-1 tie after two innings.

It was 1-1 from my last post... now call the Astros 5-1 winners over Atlanta. The rubber game is tomorrow afternoon.

1 and 1 so far with Detroit. Won Friday night 6 to 5 , lost Saturday 9 to 7 (thanks to the bullpen),rubber game today at 1:00.

D-Backs beat the brewers 4-1 last night, Dan Haren went 8 innings and only gave up the 1 run.

They're looking to win the series today before a set in LA against the Dodgers.

Astros won the series against the Braves. We got ourselves a 7-5 victory over the Braves. I really think that the Astros have the talent to win lots of games. Trouble is, we haven't been hitting the ball all that well, nor has starting pitching been good. Speaking of starting pitching, I'd like to see how the Astros/Giants games unfold for pitching.

Astros will be in Washington D.C. at their beautiful ball park for a two-game set. That even includes a game on Cinco de Mayo. Next weekend, I think we're going to entertain the San Diego Padres at Minute Maid Park.

Got back from AT&T about an hour ago, and Zito pitched great!! This is Zito's 3rd start in a row that he went 7 innings allowing 0 runs! Today he had 7 innings, 0 runs, 2 walks, 2 hits and 4 k's. Giants won in the 10th thanks for a rbi single from Aurillia.

12-11 record now, then we have a pair of 2 games series against the Cubs and then the Rockies.

Seems like a number of teams will have two-game sets. Three-game sets are usually common, though you do play four-game sets and maybe five-game sets. Got to stay active if you're a baseball player!

Washington beat our butts 9-4. We were leading 1-0 early, then led 4-0. Since then, the Astros basically LET the Nationals hammer them from pillar to post. Next game is at 11:00 AM CDT.

Dodgers beat the D-Backs 7-2, Doug Davis pitched quite well, but his pitches weren't very friendly with the umpire's high strike zone last night.

Nobody won between my Astros and the Nationals. It was suspended in the Bottom of the 11th for rain. I believe the score was 10-10. I'm sure this was a game ESPN or FOX types would just say that this is why both teams are a fail. The game's been postponed to June or July 9th. It was our ONLY series in Washington, D.C.; so this makeup date had to be made.

So up next for my Astros is a two-game stand against the Chicago Cubs, followed by a weekend three-game series against the San Diego Padres. And later this month, Interleague play begins as the Battle for the Silver Boot takes place between the Astros and the Texas Rangers. That series will be here in Houston later this month.

The blue seem to be really bad this year... The Giants made a double play the other day and the UMP called the guy at first out when he was clearly safe.

It's Rich Harden (CHI-Cubs) vs. Mike Hampton (HOU) as Cubs at Astros just got underway.

[UPDATE] Astros did a nice job of losing. They did fight back with three more runs, but we ended up losing 6-3. Maybe I'm a little upset after seeing the Rockets game tonight, but the Astros have GOT TO WAKE UP!!! It's more than a month into the season, and we're still playing like we don't know how to play baseball. If we're going to be a contender, we have to beat the Cubs, we have to beat the Cardinals, Brewers, and teams like that.

Can we please win, or are we going to fall apart?

MANNY RAMIREZ HAS BEEN SUSPENDED 50 GAMES FOR USE OF PED'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now all those Dodger fans that troll the Giants forum saying they don't need steroids to win are all looking like such tools. I looked at the Dodgers forum and they are trying to make up a bunch of excuses like he didn't know and such... My god this is funny.

So the Bums have until July 3rd without big overrated Man Ram...

Manny being Manny... it's almost seeming like the L.A. Dodgers is the New York Yankees of the West Coast. But wow... Manny's paddling up S:censored: Creek.

Giants must be the Red Socks then... As the Giants have been to 2 World Series since the last time the Dodgers have been in one (1988).. I think the same is with the Red Socks and Yankees not sure... The Giants have a **** ton of money they aren't spending... We will be re-signing Lincecum, and most likely Molina, we will have to deal with Bumgarner, Posey, Alderson, Guzman, and quite a few others. They all will cost a lot...

Its hard to tell when the Dodgers are spending all their money and the Giants aren't...

This is the chance for all the other teams in the NL West to catch up to the Dodgers, because Hudson and Loney are the only other guys on that team that have similar hitting as Manny (if that made any sense).

Prosthetic must be really giddy about this, the Giants are the closest to the Dodgers and they might have a chance to get within a game or two or maybe even take the division lead.

We play the Doyers tomorrow...

Oh and btw, the Giants won today, 8-3 over the Rockies. Bengie hit 2 HRs, and was 10 feet of a third!

He now has 7HRs, 27 RBI's and is hitting .310.... This is his last year of his contract and he wants to resign with the Giants... He said he wants to retire as a Giant.

This evening, my Astros will begin a three-game set against San Diego. The 619 is coming to the 713. After this series, it's back to a healthy diet of road games.

Enjoy tonight's games!

FFFFFFFUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!

Diamondback management (this means you Josh Byrners) are f-ing retarded and fired Bob Melvin, Rick Schu and Brian Price yesterday after losing to the Padres and hired VP of minor league player development AJ Hinch (whom I never previously heard of, apparently he played 8 whole MLB seasons) as his replacement.

Why?

There was nothing wrong with what Melvin and Price were doing, it was just a rough patch, Melvin did what he thought would win us game by changing lineups, starting different guys at different positions on different days. Price did quite a good job with a bullpen that wasn't all that stellar and the results were fairly good.

If anybody deserved to get fired it was Rick Schu because all the hitters seemed to be swinging through pitches that they weren't even chasing in the past which equals Mark Reynolds being on pace to break his own strikeout record and having the worst team average in the majors.

I don't like the choice of new manager AJ Finch, nothing personal against him but I barely know who he is and his 0 experience of coaching or managing anywhere scares the **** out of me because he's being thrown into a trial by fire. If it were up to me, and the fans, Chip Hale would've been named manager today, he has tons of experience managing in the minors, he knows his players and he has a better idea of how to fix things than anybody else Josh Byrnes would've hired. (because he's an f-ing fool)

I won't say anymore about the move until after this weekend's series against the Nationals is over.

/angry d-back fan rant

3 game set this weekend with the Kitty Cats of Detroit , hoping for some things to turn around for the Tribe........ cough, ahem, hmmmm. (bullpen, needs help :grumpy:)(could use a little more run support to boys 💡 )

I think I'm the only happy baseball fan on this bored :D

Well, I know Omnis is... But you should be if your a Marlins fan because they have a super bright future...

Tonight Zito will be looking for his first win but that doesn't show that he has been on fire!!! In Zito's last 3 starts he has gone into the 7th inning allowing 0 runs... But sadly they have also produced 0 runs for him. Tonight will be different, some of the Giants have hot bats, and we are going to be playing tough defense.

This is what tonight's lineup is going to look like.

LF Lewis
SS Renteria
RF Winn
C Sandoval
CF Rowand
1B Ishikawa
3B Uribe
2B Burriss
P Zito

I actually like seeing Rowand behind Sandoval as Rowand has hit good against the Bums. Sandoval is on a serious offensive tear, every time he gets up to bat he seems to foul off 10-15 pitches then the pitcher is forced through a strike, which Sandoval will hit has hard as he can. As of lately, the ball either finds a gap and gets a double or triple, or it dies out at the warning track. But he keeps hitting them their, so sooner or later hes going to be hitting more HR's.

I'm really excited for the Giants right now, as we should take the advantage of no Manny in the Bums lineup and go on a hot streak to take them out of 1st place.

The Astros finally win after getting beat by Chicago Cubs in a two-game set. It's a 2-0 victory. Only damage done by my Astros was a two-run inning for the Astros in the Bottom of the 5th. Wandy Rodriguez (HOU) got the win with a LaTroy Hawkins (HOU) save. Chad Gaudin (SD) lost.

So that's 12 wins and 17 losses for us. So 12 wins down, 78 to go for Cecil Cooper's 90-win prediction!
