Hey TS, I'm at the pub watching the marlins v. d-bags-- I mean backs-- game. We shall see who emerges victorious.

edit: Damn it. Rained out before OUR victory was official.

I see what you did there. :grumpy:

Astros led 1-0 after one, but lose 4-2. Astros need to beat NL Central teams to keep pace. They also need to take care of every other team in the NL for Wild Card positioning. If we can keep pace, then we can return to the playoffs for the first time since 2005 (remember the '05 Astros?).

It's said that next season, the L.A. Dodgers will play a three-game Interleague series at the new Yankees Stadium. It would be the glitz and glam of Los Angeles (except for the impossibly lonely-looking Dodger Stadium) playing at the Bronx Bombers' new stadium. Should be interesting next season.

Tonight, Mr. Gallardo goes to the mound for the Brewers as my Astros will send Wandy Rodriguez to the mound. Both have four wins. Only difference is that Gallardo is 4-1 while Wandy is 4-2.

Wow... wtf is wrong with the Giants all of the sudden... We beat the crap out of Johan Santana, then Zito throws a complete game only allowing 2 solo Homeruns, then Sanchez throws 6 innings allowing only 2 hits and they both get the loss. So lame.

Astros won last night 6-4, but the real story was a lineup card mismatch. Had it not been for our lineup card blunder, Michael Bourn would have had a lead-off single or lead-off double. But we did the one thing we don't normally do- pick up the slack. We were ahead by 6-1 heading into the ninth. And we win.

Tonight's MIL/HOU match on the mound: Jeff Suppan (MIL) vs. Roy Oswalt (HOU). Enjoy tonight's other matches!

[UPDATE] How do you like your beat downs? If you answered "well-done," then look no further than the Minnesota Twins smashing the Chicago White Sox (in Chicago) 20-1. This weekend's Sunday Night Baseball match sees the Brewers go to Minnesota to take on the Twins in this Interleague showdown. Beautiful stadium playing at... boring stadium better suited towards football.

Tribe was able to take 2 out of 3 form the Royals,winning today by a score of 8 to 3.

We now come back to Ohio and play our interstate National League rivals - Cincinnati Reds for a weekend set.

We then head back up to Northeastern Ohio for a 4 game stint with the D-Rays,then a weekend stand with the Pinstipers of New York.

GO TRIBE -

Astros were leading 3-1 in the Bottom of the 7th, but end up losing 4-3. The problem now? Interleague action. Texas is too strong a team for my Astros to try to take some games at home. I'd be suprised if the Astros win even one game in this series. Even more so if they win 2, and I'll be damned if we win all three games. The Saturday game will be on FOX. So we'll proudly lose on national TV just to reassure Astros haters that we're more sorry than the Nationals.

Still, I do pull for the Astros to take down the boys from up north. Enjoy this weekend's Interleague matches!

The Astros took Texas to extra innings, but a money home run from Texas got them the 6-5 victory. The hero for us was Lance Berkman's three-run jack in the Bot. 7th. It was 5-3, Texas, at that point.

Don't feel bad John :indiff:,our interstate rival Cincinnati Reds got us in interleague play as well by a score of 3 to 1. :grumpy:

Woot, D-backs called up Billy Buckner from AAA during the Marlins series to start last night against the A's, and he was terrific! Only 1 ER in 7 innings pitched (a homerun by Matt Holliday) but the D-Backs were able to respond as Chris Young ended his offensive struggles with a solo-HR of his own and the snakes won 2-1!

Later today, Rangers at Astros on FOX. Viewer discretion advised... this could be ugly for my Astros. Still, I'm pulling for the Astros here.

It's rare I do a full game report. But here goes.

The Astros' Brian Moehler had a perfect game going through three innings. However, the perfect game was broken up with a Rangers' hit. Then things SNOWBALLED. Brian was more like "why the hell did I give Nelson Cruz that pitch?" We led 1-0 on a quasi-controversial home run by Tejada. But thanks to that home run by that damned Nelson Crus, we were trailing 3-1. We ended up losing 6-3. I stopped watching the game after Brian M. pitched back-to-back Ranger homers. Can we win one, or are we going to lose to Texas again so we can take our frustrations out in Cincinnati for our next road trip?

Today in Oakland, the D-Backs went for their first sweep of the season, the brooms were out and ready, but the Giambino and the other A's players brought their bats today and were able to beat the D-Backs 6-2.

Anyway, I believe the D-Backs went 7-2 on this last roadtrip, and I know I ragged on the management for bringing in AJ Hinch as manager, but so far the move proves to be working. AJ knows the young players very well as he was primarily responsible for bringing them up through the farm system and he pretty much knew what to do with guys like Gerardo parra, Justin Upton, and even Mark Reynolds in the lineup.

The Snakes are improving, they just need to keep playing like they have been on this last road trip and they can easily catch up with the Dodgers & Giants in no time.

Rangers are probably going to win the Silver Boot, no doubt. We lost 5-0. Just goes to show how inferior the NL can be against better AL teams. Astros will play on Memorial Day with a trip to Cincinnati's beautiful ballpark. They'll try and entertain the Reds after the Reds entertained the Cleveland Indians.

Tribe took only 1 out of 3 games against interstate rival Cincinnati Reds for the 1st go around of interleague play.Lost today in the 11th inning by a score of 4 to 3.

Nicksflix, congratulations to your Indians for taking down the Rays in a 10-run rally to win the game 11-10. The last 10-run rally (which surprised me) was when the Astros took down our hated Cardinals in 1994.

Aren't you glad there's no game clock in baseball? Anyone can win with any amount of time left. Congratulations to the Cleveland Indians on that wonderful 10-run rally win.

Thanks John. 👍

Surprised the daylights out of me as well. :P

Lets what we can do tonight for an encore. 💡

My Astros are stuck on 18 wins. Have a look at my wonderful team's ugly streak:

* 4-3 loss vs. Milwaukee on 5/21.
* 6-5 loss in 10 innings vs. Texas on 5/22.
* 6-3 loss vs. Texas on 5/23.
* 5-0 loss vs. Texas on 5/24.
* 8-5 loss at Cincinnati 5/25.
* 6-4 loss at Cincinnati 5/26.

We haven't won in a whole week. Will the nasty streak extend to a full week without a win? That will be the case if the Astros don't play their butts off and win a damn game for a change. At least have SOMETHING to look forward to in preparation for the weekend series at Pittsburgh (starting Friday)!

Got another one from the Rays last night,5 to 1.Not as dramatic as the previous night,but hey,it's a mark in the "W" column.Playing game 3 of 4 tonight.
Go Tribe !!!!!

...meanwhile, my Astros will head into their off-day with another "L." We lost 6-1, and Bronson Arroyo pitched a complete game. Only damage we done was in the Top of the 1st. Now it's on to taking on a tricky Pittsburgh team at beautiful PNC Park. Three game set too.

Giants just sweeped the Braves... I'm in a bit of a baseball low right now, I have more important things going on. I'll be more active in a bit.

Noes

The D-backs don't like to be home very much, they get off a very good road trip winning 2 of 3 series and come back to lose the series to the Padres, blowing leads and their chances to win in 2 of the 3 games.

This weekend the Braves come to town after a sweep in San Fran, hopefully the D-Backs can right the ship again.

WoooooooHoooooooo

Get out the broom (swept the Rays).Tribe wins last night 12 to 7 and wins today 2 to 1.
Only 6.5 games back now.

Starting a 3 game weekend set with the pinstripers of N.Y. tomorrow.
