This weekend here in Houston, we're hosting the Cleveland Indians. Have to bounce back after dropping two straight against Kansas City. Hope all of your team(s) do well this weekend. Enjoy Interleague play! Well... the only non-Interleague match is Chicago Cubs at Arizona. But still, and as always... good luck to all of your team(s).

Tonight is Roy Oswalt's debut start in a Ranger uniform and his first start since a game 4 loss against St. Louis last season. We play the Rockies at the Ballpark in Arlington, so it will be interesting to see if he is ready for the big leagues again. Hopefully he won't be playing distracted like he did with the Phils. The game is at 7:05 CT time. In other news Joel Peralta is suspended 8 games for using pine tar on the ball...lol.

Astros failed- we got blanked again. It was 2-0 in favor of the Indians. Both teams got four hits while CLE made the only error. Three straight Astros' losses. Maybe they need to get rid of the throwback uniforms, because I we've won only one game this season in retro uniforms. Perhaps concentrate more on winning than honoring 50 years of this great team. Still honor the 50 years, but actually play to win- like the Astros of the past. A rebuilding team still needs to win. Winning helps the rebuilding process. When you don't win, you get stuck in neutral (and maybe go in reverse). So tack on another loss for my team. We keep this up, we'll have a worse record than San Diego right now...

Your turn to rant or rave.

For some reason we're letting the Cubs pitcher tonight beat up on us. At least Kubel had his number and hit one out of the park with Justin Upton on base and gave us the 2-1 lead. We're switching pitchers now, so we'll see what happens now....

Edit: Our relief pitcher Brad Ziegler got his first major league hit with 2 outs in the 5th, then was followed up by a Bloomquist single, then Aaron Hill (THE hottest hitter in baseball right now) singled in Ziegler.

Score: 3-1

We won 6-1. 2 of our relief pitchers got their first major league hits, and both on 0-2 counts. One of them scored.

I'll be at tomorrow night's game for Ian Kennedy bobble head night, and he's pitching too. 👍

We won 8-1! It was a complete game victory for Houston as Dallas Keuchel picked up his first MLB win. My boys finally woke up on offense and laid it all out on Kansas City with runs and some home runs. The 'stros just have to remember that they still need that offense to get through tomorrow afternoon's game. Rubber game here in H-Town between HOU and KC, who will be American League opponents next season. By the way... Jeanmar Gomez fell to 4-7 on the season for Kansas City with the loss.

We won 10-5. Was a pretty wild one, Kennedy didn't do so hot. We had the lead when he was taken out, but it was only the 5th inning so he didn't get the decision.

Miley on the mound tomorrow, should be exciting!

Yeah, R1600Turbo. I was watching MLB Network and saw the Diamondbacks with such a commanding lead. Good job by your boys. Congrats to all other winners from Saturday. Final Interleague matches for the season will wrap up today.

How about tonight's mound matchup? We got C.C. Sabathia for NYY going up against R.A. Dickey for NYM. Ready for the Subway Series tonight? Yankees at Mets tonight!

Saunders to the DL. Buchholz joins him. Trevor Bauer was pulled from his start today so he may be pitching Thursday.

You know the saying, "today was the tomorrow you feared yesterday?" Remember as I feared the Astros would get stymied by the Indians after failing to the K.C. Royals? Well, we 2 of 3 from the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians when I feared we would fail against them. Baseball can be so unpredictable. Make it another win for J.A. Happ. We won 7-1 to take 2 of 3 from the Indians. So yes- we've outscored the Indians 15-2 in the past two games. J.A. Happ was happy in picking up the win. Not so Derek Lowe, as he was the loser. No errors in the game, and the Astros outhit the Indians 12-5. Astros get their 30th win of the season.

So we're done with Interleague. Up next- San Diego coming to H-Town for a four-game series here in Houston. After that, we're at Chicago Cubs next weekend and then at Pittsburgh (I believe).

THIS JUST IN... Kevin Youkilis is now a White Sox.

Saunders to the DL. Buchholz joins him. Trevor Bauer was pulled from his start today so he may be pitching Thursday.

Looking forward to this.

And we're currently 3 outs away from sweeping the Cubs. Score 5-1. Game over. :D

Also, the A's just got a 3-run homer off their rookie catcher to walk off against the Giants. 👍

So if the LAD lose, that's 1 game in our direction in the standings. We're got a tough away schedule coming up though.

THIS JUST IN... I read on ESPN's Bottom Line that the Athletics beat the Giants 4-2 in Oakland with a three-run walk-off bomb. OAK's thunderbolt of a homer broke SF's hearts. Miller won for Oakland while Casilla lost for San Francisco. Sorry, Prosthetic...

Interleague is done. Now, it's time to get back against more familiar opponents. San Diego comes to Houston for a four-game series. Whomever you all will go against either today or tomorrow, best of luck to all of your team(s). Don't forget also to vote for your favorite players to be in the MLB All-Star Game.

(Sorry... I made a post for another thread in this one. Disregard this post!)

Ummm... wrong thread John?

Yeah. A post I had planned for the NBA thread was posted here. I usually save what I type into a file so that I efficiently type whatever I want to type about. Trouble is, I just posted that text into this post by accident.

Anyhow (and more relevant)...

MLB Network had some figures on this year's Interleague matches. I think I read that there seemed to be more fans in the stands for Interleague games than Intraleague games (some 15% or so difference). I also read this was the third straight year of about 1.5M viewers of Interleague games. So Interleague has done pretty well and in recent times.

Padres at Astros right now just saw the Padres get a run across to make it 2-1, Top of the 2nd. Back-to-back jacks by the Astros made up our first two runs so far. Two more runs on an extra base hit has the Padres in the lead now, 3-2.

Figured as much. Was reading the thread over breakfast and happened on your post during the short time it was up. Needless to say, I was a little confused at 7.44am :boggled:.

On topic, Red Sox and Blue Jays 5-5 in the 4th. Not exactly a pitcher's duel. Lawrie and Rasmus still tearing it up at the top of the order.
