Figured as much. Was reading the thread over breakfast and happened on your post during the short time it was up. Needless to say, I was a little confused at 7.44am :boggled:.

On topic, Red Sox and Blue Jays 5-5 in the 4th. Not exactly a pitcher's duel. Lawrie and Rasmus still tearing it up at the top of the order.

And Blue Jays lost Alvarez. I think they'd be better off letting the other team self-pitch.

I think someone in Toronto kicked a black cat into a mirror, while walking under a ladder.
They said on the radio that he was removed as a precaution. Hopefully it turns out well, but not holding my breath.

Bochy royally ****ed us over the entire AL road trip. Only once did he DH our best option in Sanchez. And stop hitting Pagan in front of Sandoval. Its amazing that people think Bochy is a good manager.

Giants brought out the demolition crew on the Dodgers and scored 7 runs in the first 2 innings. So far out side of a few walks Zito has pitched well.

Nine innings wasn't enough. Bring on extras. It was also bring on the offense as both teams put up a combined 14 runs. While this game had loads of offense, our offense wasn't enough. We're now 0-7 this season in extra inning games. Both teams 11 hits and one error. Two-game win streak snapped as the Padres won themselves a game. It just wasn't enough. All I hope for now is that the Astros just don't start getting in offensive funks to where they can't win games. Sad we lost, but that's baseball. Damned disappointed.

So the Astros failed- again. How about your boys?

I guess one of our TV announcers got fired for saying bad things about one of the DBacks owners or GM's. Sucks.

Edit: Guess now it's been announced as a "personal matter" and that the previous story wasn't true. Hmmm.

Have no confidence in us winning tonights game, and what do you know the first batter up for Atlanta hits a home run.

Nice Hudson, nice. :indiff:

Personal matter between the broadcaster and owner/GM? Saying bad things about someone can be classified as a 'personal matter', and it sounds much more publicity friendly.

I did play little league, yeah. Was working to be a pitcher.

We just changed pitchers in the bottom of the 2nd down 4-0.

I think Hudson needs to go. He's screwed up too many times, we've given him several chances to get his act together and he can't last for more than 2 innings anymore. GET RID OF HIM!

Only baseball I've done was once for P.E. class back in Middle School. I'm just not really a baseball guy to be honest.

Game 2 of 4 between SD at HOU... and we squared the series! But damn- it could have been an ugly end. Astros were up 5-1 after 8 innings. San Diego made things interesting along with some poor pitches by David Carpenter and Brett Myers. In the end, we won 5-3. Here was a stat I picked up when watching this game. Did you know that the San Diego Padres have lost 117 straight games when trailing after eight innings? Make it 118 now. Padres and Astros have at it again Wednesday night.

Elsewhere...
* It was 7-5 in favor of Texas as the Rangers tamed the Detroit Tigers. It was the 10th win for Yu Darvish, who was a dervish on the mound tonight.

* The Battle for the Keystone State turned out to be a 5-4 victory in favor of Philadelphia at Philly against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

* Two Hudsons were in action in Atlanta. Arizona got tomohawked by the Braves 8-1 in the ATL. T. Hudson won for ATL while D. Hudson lost for Arizona.

* Cincinnati isn't giving up their hold on the NL Central as they won 4-3 hosting Milwaukee.

* Cardinals cooked some fish tonight as St. Louis won 5-2 in Miami. Lohse won for St. Louis as Motte got the Save. Carlos Zambrano falls to 4-6 for MIA.

* The Mets got a taste of Midwestern hospitality as they lost 5-3 at the Chicago Cubs. Gee was the loser for NYM while Maine won along with a Marmol save for CHC.

* The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim put an unholy 7-3 beating on the Orioles in Baltimore.

* Yankees tamed the Indians 6-4 in the Bronx.

* Blue Jays at Red Sox. It was 5-1 in favor of Boston.

* The Minnesota Twins failed to suppress the offense of the Chicago White Sox, losing 3-2 at home.

* The Royals enjoyed beating up on the Tampa Bay Rays. Kansas City held serve at home, winning 8-2.

GAMES IN PROGRESS (home leader in CAPITAL LETTERS):
* Washington at Colorado: 12-5, Washington; Bot. 8th (over 30 hits total in this game!)
* Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco: 2-0, SAN FRANCISCO; Bot. 4th
* Oakland at Seattle: 2-0, SEATTLE; Top 6th

Horrible game tonight. Something tells me our Hudson was doing so bad he just wanted off the field and faked an injury to do it. Time to get rid of him.

Hopefully SF can beat up on LA and our losing road trip won't be so bad.

Not sure how the Giants taking over helps you guys but I'll take it.

Now that Pablo is actually starting to regain bat speed after his power sapping energy, the Giants offense should heat right back up.

Terrible calls in both the Met and Yankee games. Umpire didn't even see both outs being recorded. Wise got away with an out and Davis did tag the runner. Oh well.

Did any of you guys play ball when you were younger?

Played all elementary years, played babe ruth (high school years),played one year in connie mack league (senior year of h.s./wood bat). Last 3 summers i have been playing beer league softball! Debating on weather or not to do fall softball, but those games are only on sundays, and i love watching football too much ha.

^^^ Dude, triple post?

Not sure how the Giants taking over helps you guys but I'll take it.

Our loss dropped us to 5.5 games back last night, but because SF won, we gained that .5 game back.

Edit: Yes we lose ground to you, but gain ground on LA. Of course this is all a moot point once you take over the lead.

Ooh, I see the Mets tore the Cubs a new one, 17-1, but only got RBIs from 4 players, unusual.

Also, Jose Bautista left his mark on someones SUV in the Fenway parking lot. Unfortunately, the Red Sox left a bigger mark on Ricky Romero's record. But at least he didn't get injured

Stephen Drew is back in the lineup tonight for the first time since he broke his ankle (badly) in a sliding incident last year. Game starting any minute now...

Here we go again. Getting plenty of contact with the ball but hitting them right to people for outs.

Edit: 2 innings in a row we had someone on 3rd and failed to get them in.

Edit 2: So bases loaded full of Braves in the bottom of the 5th with nobody out is where I stop watching.

I have no confidence in my team on the road, at all. We can't get home soon enough.

Complete game shutout! Lucas Harrell survived a bases loaded nightmare in the Top of the 9th as we won 1-0. Only two hits for the Astros compared to six hits by the Padres. Games this close can be nerve-racking. You know you want extra runs just to be safe. But when that doesn't work, you need to rely on your defense; and our defense delivered. This game took 1:57:00.000 to complete- fastest in baseball this season (I'm told).

...the Mets pimp-slapped the Cubs 17-1. ONLY good news is that the Cubs avoided getting blanked. Still- the Cubs got OWNED. One Facebook fan was talking about how the Cubs should drop down to Triple-A for this beat down. It's a damn shame if you're a Cubs fan.

Congratulations to all other winners today and tonight.

I played baseball last year in a Colt league with my friends, and I was technically younger (turned 20 today :scared: ) so yeah, other than that I played when I was 8  (you can imagine how my season went last year, lol, it actually went better than the one I played when I was 8).

If Trout keeps this up, I see him as the Rookie of the Year, hands down. (I swear, if they give it to Darvish and he has an ERA over 3.50 I will seriously lose it, we lost the Rookie of the Year last year to Hellickson, I don't wanna to lose it to ANOTHER f-ing pitcher, Trumbo should of been the RoY last year).

I think it's safe to say we're hot. 17 hits last night, 16 tonight. :D

Darvish won't get RotY because he's not really a rookie.

My vote for Rookie of the Year so far is Wade Miley. Currently at 9 wins, 2.19 ERA. Stellar. 👍

Also, we managed to get 4 runs in the 7th inning to make it 6-4 but hit a wall after that. Nice to see Chris Young hit a pinch hit home run. :)

Let me just say- that wicked catch by Mike Trout was fabulous. I just hope that if it does make ESPN's "Best of the Best" thing, that I want that Matt Cain thing to be retired so that ESPN can get off Houston's ass (the "Always Hate Houston" network).

Haha. :) Though, I don't think people know just how far Blanco went to catch that...

"But here's the really astounding addendum to that catch: No right fielder has caught a ball hit that hard to that part of ANY park during the last three seasons. Here's the breakdown, from Baseball Info Solutions:

There have been 32 fly balls hit -- anywhere in baseball -- since 2010, with that approximate hang time, to that approximate location on the field. Blanco was the first right fielder to catch any of them. And of the 13 balls hit in San Francisco to within 25 feet of that spot with that approximate hang time, five turned into triples, five more were doubles and only two were caught -- both by the center fielder. Holy schmoly.

That's the cool part about having three center fielders with great range in your OF. **** yeah for speed.

Oh and that complete series shut out against the Dodgers was pretty cool. :)
