....and now it's a must for us to win tonight. Miley on the mound, hopefully we can carry over the run support from last night.

You know, R1600Turbo, I will say this much- Wade Miley is the truth. My boys just are swinging at almost anything of his. Tough dude on the mound.

Kubel is an RBI machine yet again. He's only 2 RBI's away from being #1 in the NL. Then, saw that Bloomquist is #1 in the NL for batting average out of all short stop players by quite a large margin. 👍

Edit: 3-run homer Kubel!!!! WOW!

Guy is on fire this year! :D

Screw it, D-Backs win. Game isn't over yet, but I just can't stand watching the Astros right now. Damned disappointing. 🤬

HAHA, Kubel with THREE home runs this game. Craaaaazy!

Oh, and he's now #1 in the NL in RBI's. :D

Dude, you keep getting his name wrong :dopey:
Its KUBELA KHAN!

I traded for him about a month ago in a fantasy league (and he was the throw in player).

I've now basically stopped watching the Astros right now. Most of the changes and such have mostly been for pitching for all I've heard. Maybe they should find more OFFENSE than pitching (though pitching is a concern for the Astros). I basically think we've flown the white flag (for surrender, of course) on 2012 and just want to get into 2013 unless the Astros actually start winning.

After these past two games, feel free to enjoy sweeping us, D-Backs. You aren't the first to do so this season and in this failtastic month HOU is having.

[UPDATE] I forgot to mention- today is the Baseball Hall of Fame Ceremony. Congratulations to all inductees.

Kubel just hit another home run. This guy is a monster. Getting to the point where he's expected to hit one every time he comes up to bat. :D

Edit: Rack up TWO horrible calls by umpires so far in this game, 3 innings in.

It was a nice run the Mets had. Its all over. 5 runs in the 12th inning allowed (all with 2 outs). Going to fall under .500 and this ends our season.

Your D-Backs needed a sweep, and you got it. It was 8-2 as we failed again... AGAIN. See- the Diamondbacks have actual talent that just had some unfortunate losses. Our losing is just an overall lack of talent and poor offensive production (and some bad pitching). Maybe we should just play all of our games at home until we find out how to win on the road, let alone win regardless. Saddest stat of all: we have won a grand total of ONE GAME since the All-Star Break! F:censored:ing unacceptable for a team whose slogan this season is "Root. Root. Root." How the bloody hell can you root for a team that fails this constantly and this bad? Astros need a serious talking-to and rattle some brain cells to realize what they can be capable of rather than to lose this constantly. Downright unacceptable if you're an Astros fan.

Our failing this whole road trip, however, was nothing compared to Saturday night in St. Louis, where I heard of how STL had seven doubles in one inning to win 12-0. Many doubles in one inning is just an offensive feast. Crazy!

Mike Trout is unbelievable. Lead off triple which would've been a double for everyone else. If he continues to play the way he does he'll be MVP.

Has he gotten paid big bucks yet? Because it sounds like he should. And is he as fast as Bonifacio?

He's faster than Bonifacio I believe. He'll get the big bucks soon though. LA needs to make sure that he doesn't somehow get pried free.

Rumors swirling that we might trade Stephen Drew since he's up for contract renewal with a $10 million option, which we may not want to pony up the dough for. Hope he doesn't go anywhere. :nervous:

He needs to be a Diamondback forever...

I heard the trade might be for Peralta of Detroit, which would actually have them taking ON salary (by about 1.25 million).

It just doesn't make sense. Why wait for him to heal up and then boot him? He's actually doing pretty good for being down so long. He NEEDS to stay where he's at.

5 in a row now for the pirates. they squished the fish. mccutchen 4 mvp etc.

bring on the cubs, i'll be at the game on tuesday. can't wait to see james mcdonald pitch.

..... I think it's about time the Red So trade Lester. Giving up 11 runs in 4 1/3 is unacceptable, for a guy who's supposedly supposed to be our ace this year. We'll give you a bag of peanuts if you take his contract.

You want Bay? We'll take Lester if you take Bay.

I think my boys should trade Jordan Lyles. Either that, or send him to the Minors. We're getting all these prospects... why not deal this Lyles guy?

We're home at Minute Maid Park for a three-game set against the Reds followed by a four-game series against the Pirates. Needless to say, whatever's left of our season is critical at this point since we're dealing with NL Central division opponents. Next Monday, we're back on the road- at Milwaukee. For now, I can only hope my boys can win MANY more games than they won all on this past road trip.

Good luck to all of you and your favorite teams.

Boni is 4th and missed half the season. Too bad his BA sucks. He'd likely be far and away #1 if he had Trout's .3
