Ok, lets get to the bottom of this. Johnnypenso and co want all cars unlocked from the start, right? yes? yet you think have the right to say every single player wants what you want? wrong, there are people that dont want all the cars unlocked and you refuse to take that on board. So what were all doing here is pointless, as your never going to respect are side of things.

You have no clue what you're talking about. If you want to get to the bottom of it, just look up and you can see that I've never said that everyone should play the way I play, in fact I go out of my way to say the opposite. This is just in the last few hours but I've consistently said this from the beginning:

So how is your gameplay affected if I have the option to use all cars from the beginning and you choose the GT Classic Career Mode and go through the game that way?
I don't believe anyone is advocating canning the GT career mode, simply offering another option to progress through the game, which you would not be obligated to use.
24 pages and I don't think anyone has asked for the removal of in-game progression, just an option to progress a different way if desired.

I suggest reading his entire post carefully, mainly the last sentence, it should clear things up.

It doesn't clear up this at all, regardless of how carefully I read it.

"Incidentally, that's why in GT5 I completed 0 out of 0 single player A-Spec events, but my A-Spec level was still high 30s; because I could instead just hand an X1 off to a Bob and have him grind credits for me while I did something else." - Tornado

I said the last sentence...

since they were stupid enough to put an arbitrary limit on how many moronic bots you had to face in the even-worse-than-GT5 GT Life races before you could even go online.

If you still have a hard time seeing his point I'm not sure what to say.

Sorry? care to make the question make sense?

First, I'm stoked to see you finally respond to one of my posts.

Secondly, what aren't you understanding? You're on here bashing us for supposedly doing something, than turning around and doing the same thing!

Look up a couple of posts.

I'm just going to come out with it, this tread really need locking and putting to an end
Why? No one is swearing, no one is calling anyone names. It's a heated discussion over the future of a franchise many of us have been passionate about for a long, long time. If you're accusing me of wanting everyone to play the way I play, obviously you are just reacting and not really reading what people are saying. Maybe it's time to take a break?

No one is swearing, no one is calling anyone names. What's your problem with the thread?

Because its getting tedious and pointless talking about the same thing over and other again with out getting any were. Just agree to disagree and move on

You're on here bashing us for supposedly doing something, than turning around and doing the same thing!

So move on, nobody is forcing you to post in this thread.

Good point *close door*

"you think have the right to say every single player wants what you want? wrong, there are people that do want all the cars unlocked and you refuse to take that on board. So what were all doing here is pointless, as your never going to respect are side of things." - I forgot the original author

I actually wouldn't mind just having everything unlocked and using whatever I want.

Thats cool . Project cars is the game for you then maybe ?

SlipZtrEm-It is satisfying to be challenged, I agree. Grinding isn't challenging, unless you count trying to stay awake.

Grinding isn't satisfying I agree . We need the bigger range of seasonals that 5 to add new and exciting challenges . They just haven't done enough to 6.

1241Penguin-You do realize that no matter how much I nerf my car's performance that racing against the AI doesn't get anymore fun right?
You do realize that there's no game outside the GT series where I have to purposefully nerf my own performance for a decent challenge right?.....

I don't see why not . Do you not find challenge fun or do you just want to win everything easy ?
The AI in 6 is a shocker , but is has improved over 5 . Agreed that it needs much more work . But I myself have fun with it , i'm sure other people without internet do also ... But then they wouldn't be on GTP .

Maybe so , but other games aren't GT

Northstar- So women are objects?

I stopped reading from there as you completely missed the point so I was highly doubtful of you're ability to follow anything else I said

👍

So that's all? Pretty much saying "well go play something else then!" Why is it such a problem for you for people o have an option?

What I find fun is not having to handicap myself, but instead make myself a better racer by playing at my full and the game being at its full, and having a damn intense race.

Maybe so , but other games aren't GT
yeah your definitely right in that regard.

Ironic.

I am way beyond late to this, but GT7 should not have all cars available from the start.

My reason in this: back in GT1 up to GT5, there were hidden cars some people may or may not have known about that was awarded to them for doing something well, such as finishing 1st overall in a championship, or by gaining all golds in a license test. This gave players a sense of a challenge, to allow them to step up their game just to get that one car they wish to get.

What kind of set me off a tad bit in GT6 was the fact that they made all of the cars available to purchase from the start. All of the cars were available in one single dealership section, there was a lack of UCDs (and from GT4, Tuner Villages). I wanted to feel accomplished by gaining a very special car that I could never see or find in the dealership from getting gold on the s license, not by gaining a car I could simply purchase with all of the credits I have racked up along the years of playing GT6.

With that being said, I want GT7 to still be as concise and simplistic as GT6, but it should go back to it's roots, having hidden cars and cars in the dealership that are just there for show.

I'll put this in bold, capitalized letters and underlined since you've clearly missed my message the first time:

THERE IS NOTHING CHALLENGING ABOUT RACING THE AI IN GT6. Therefore, I do not find the "challenge" of grinding to be fun.

GT5's AI is superior to GT6. The AI in GT6, above all, slows down for the human player. At the very least, GT5's AI did not do this. There is nothing fun about racing the AI.
Maybe so , but other games aren't GT
Yeah, and thank god for that.

I'll try and save you the trouble of being bombarded over this by just saying

"Why not give people the option to have all of the cars unlocked at the start if they want them?"

That's really the whole argument you're about to get...and I'm sure you have a valid counter point, but several people have tried explaining it, and due to either difficulty articulating it by the person making the counter point, of just flat out lack of understanding on the part of the person you're trying to explain it to. It's just not going to happen. You're not going to convince the people who want all of the cars to be available at the start or even help them understand your viewpoint.

Feel free to keep posting in this thread though, I get what you're saying and I agree with you, just be warned that these aren't safe waters.

(2) Get out your credit card

Hope that's better for you

👍

Holly Jesus! I actually cringed when I read this. Good luck.

If you're not going to bother actually responding to what I posted, please don't waste my time by quoting me.

Women are sex objects - False assumption of what I said

Relationship paragraph - Digging into a rant about relationships when I was merely giving a basic example of reward vs getting everything easy and missing my point entirely ( As I said you would )

Difficulty adjustment - This the first GT you've ever played ?

He just wants to race online paragraph - No problem . But you have two choices -

(1) Actually play the game and not have a gimme it all , I have no time to earn it attitude

Or

(2) Get out your credit card

Hope that's better for you

👍

AGAIN I will state go under the PP and try LOWER GRADE TYRES if you find it too easy . Then come back and tell me going 200+PP below and 3 grades of tyre caused you to win the race without any challenge

Ermmmmmmmm , no , it isn't . AI in 6 is superior , first thing I noticed from playing 5 then buying 6 .
Does anyone else think they made the AI worse than in 5 ?

You maybe don't know how to have fun , I don't know you so that's at best , subjective

This thread is about whether or not all the cars in GT7 should be available, not about how bad the AI is in GT6.

To be fair, this topic came up when we were trying to justify whether cars should or should not be available from the start, but if it makes you feel any better, the discussion about AI can continue here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...listic-as-we-think-it-is.314842/#post-9946294

I kind of sounded like a mod at that point, sorry if I gave off the tone of being a mini mod.

Just don't want the current argument happening to explode and cause a locked thread.

And if a fps is too easy, you should just play it without shooting instead of wanting a harder difficulty mode. Imposing artificial challenges is a poor replacement for actual difficulty in a game.

You would need to ask Kaz about that . I didn't design the challenge of the game . It is what it is currently .

Having all the cars available to use for career right away would severely make the game magnitudes of times too easy to complete though . I can see why this is clearly , as PD want/need the longevity from players to stick around and keep playing / grinding etc ....

With the years inbetween GT title releases it is obvious it will always be that way

I am aware .

He got upset when I didn't reply to his points

👍

Right, and having races that are unchallenging don't make it easy already.

I'd wager that the monotonous game (i.e. grinding) will actually repel players and shorten the longevity of the game.

Only casuals who want it all i'd say . Now that Pcars has done unlocked cars I wouldn't hold your breath for PD to follow suit . My previous points apply .

Listen out for any future news on 7 . If your hear Kaz even whisper the word transactions then you know how the career system and monetary system will be .

Additionally - If enough players were foolish enough to buy credits in 6 then wave hello to more in 7 .

GT will never be a car free for all , just look as Kaz's vision for GT . It's car collection through and through

So now we've gone from debating what GT7 ought to be like to predicting what GT7 might be like?

Okay...
