Not really man....🤣🤪🤣🤪🤣

I had the same experience with that test😁 But in the end when you completely smash it, it is rewarding👍
Again it is what it is lol keep practicing and you get it or leave it and go back later lol

I am definitely not a nube when it comes to Gran Turismo, also not one of the best out there.
That being said, GT 7 wet tracks and wet licence tests especially the final one is just bloody ridiculously difficult to complete.
To such an extent that the Gran Turismo series just lost a dedicated fan of many years past.
Definitely not a enjoyable experience anymore. I truly pitty the newcomers and inexperienced players out there. Polyphony and Gran Turismo is going to loose a big fan base because of this....
I agree my friend. I have golds in all but the last four S class tests. Maybe some of these people are playing on the beginner difficulty. I am playing on expert as I always have. I have always attained all golds but these aren’t fun and I’m a full second or more off.

The difficulty from the other tests to these is a big jump. Added to the micro transactions, the low prize money, the price of the cars, the random RWD traction loss, and of course the dynamic rain that nobody wanted, I have trouble recognizing this game. A shame, because the good things about it are wonderful. Hang in there my friend.

Another complaint about the design; I’m doing the missions, because the races aren’t fun, and I’m on “The Pass”. I get past the car in third, in the rain which is so much fun I can barely contain myself, and the car behind me comes up and hits me, failing the mission. Now how is it that is possible. As usual the AI is non existent and the car wants to occupy a certain space regardless of where I am.

Special thanks to everyone who had positive comments, the world needs more people like you.
To those of you who got personal and insulting, you are what is wrong with this world today.
I wrote that post to see how people would react, and I am glad to say that most of you thoroughly impressed me. Well done guys!!!!
This is rich.

This isn't a "test", this is you seeing that most people don't agree with you, and backtracking to make it seem like you were in control. At best, this is a bad troll attempt, at worst it's just really sad.

You also say "those who are insulting are what's wrong with the world today". I would say that someone proclaiming to be a life long fan of something throwing in the towel because it's "too hard" two days after it came out is part of "what's wrong with the world today". Some would align that with "weakness".

What's wrong? Entitlement. People that can't deal with anything "hard". People who don't want to try. People that don't want to learn. People that give up, even on something they "love" with no good reasoning. People with no will power. People that want things handed to them with zero effort. People that are disingenuous. People with no constitution...

THESE are some of the things wrong with the world today, and thank you for providing an example for all of us to see.

Whatever makes you feel better about yourself dude... Beautiful day to you also.
Just so you know, i never said i did give up. Still going strong at collector level 32, so please don't consider becoming a psychologist in the future....😆😆😆😆

This is a valid point. This game isn’t difficult because the AI is competent, or because the tracks are challenging. The most difficult parts of this game are gimmicks and legacy issues included just for difficulty’s sake.

Just making the rear wheels lose traction with no rhyme or reason isn’t challenging or fun. The track becoming wet part way through a race is unrealistically difficult. The rain behaves as if it were ice.

The worst thing in my opinion, besides the removal of the marker cones, is that we still have to start in last place every race. Instead of qualifying and racing against good AI it’s just get a faster car, turn the traction control up, the fuel usage down and try to catch the leader.

This has always been my favorite game, from GT on PS1 to GT Sport. I am not enjoying GT7. Whatever that means needs to be figured out for the sake of every GT fan, so we will always have a great GT game to play. With so many other competent competitors out there, it’s time GT grew up a bit.

I have to agree with you my friend. I never gave up on GT 7(completed all the licence tests and the story mode and is currently at level 43 with what little time I have to play), but it's definitely not the same enjoyable experience anymore like all the others before it. And yes, I also agree, the wet weather and all that goes with it is a bit too outrageous... whether all the haters and psychologist smartass people who crucified me for testing people's feelings about the game wants to admit it or not... Doesn't really bother me anyway.
There I've said it again, so you can start hating on me again if it makes you feel any better....
Hope you all have a blessed day and week.

PD is going to lose a huge fan base because you can't drive in the wet? Get off your soap box mate, it wasn't that hard.

Yes well, I guess not all of us can be such perfect naturally gifted people like you... Have a nice day Stig.

gran turismo is the only racing game on console which focuses on a more realistic simulation of driving on the black stuff. they actually have somewhat of a monopoly. there are no other games on playstation that do this. dirt 2.0 or WRC aren't really comparable and ACC on console is absolutely garbage. if I had a good PC would 110% have gone for ACC or iRacing on PC, which is why i'm moving onto pc

I absolutely love the wet track stuff in the game! Especially races that end up with a dry racing line! On many occasions I’ve ruined a race by going just a little too wide and the car hits a puddle and ends up in the gravel (or in the wall 😂). Gives certain races some replayability!

For what it’s worth I just downloaded Assetto Corsa Competizione on PS5. I was loving the realism and the challenge but in the first career race the game starts, well, skipping. Not like a frame dip, I’m talking like terrible lag. Impossible to complete a race lag. One second I’m entering a turn the next second I’m in the grass, headed for a wall. Thankful I didn’t pay for this garbage. Unacceptable.

I have to agree with you on that one. I actually tried both of the ACC editions on console, but didn't like them at all. The second one I tried just to see if something at least got a little better from the first one... In the end I went back to Gran Turismo Sport and 7 because I also do not do PC gaming.
Have a nice day.

Well if you don't like the difficulty of the CE's, just don't do them or just get mainly the bronze and silver. You don't necessarily have to get gold unless you want the rewards. But i'll be going for all (100%)!

yeah and tbh they're all achievable if you put the time in on a track. i'm far from a top driver, but I found passing them to be well within grasp after spending time on track during daily races, or hotlapping in different cars for a while, usually watchign some youtube videos too, as sometimes you can run higher gears in/out of turns versus those suggested by the game, or different lines, braking points etc.

if you';re not a top driver and hoping to turn up and cruise through/strike gold within a few goes, think again... probably as I did when first started playing this game. you really need to know the track and drive a flawless, rapid lap to do so. but at same time, its far from impossible.

I would say that gold in general in GT7 is at mid-A level, so it's pretty high. It can take 1-2 years to reach that level if you are not specially gifted like the majority of us.

Imho that's how it should be, so I like that level of challenge.

Oh, so you were trolling. Seems like an odd thing to admit, but okay.
What can I say, I got some pretty interesting reactions. Definitely was entertaining to say the least....😁😁😁😁

lol I phrased that the wrong way, I meant "if you are not specially gifted, like the majority of us"
🤪🤣🤪🤣🤪🤣🤪🤣🫣

Well I know I'm gifted at GT especially GT Sport cause in about a year I accumulated over 200 million credits, just look up my profile: rising_glass1. Or i'll show a screenshot later and let you guys see. But the gold in gt7 is more of a challenge which I wanted it to be. Honestly they made most of the CE's in GT sport way to easy to be honest.

I think PD tried to make the distinction between driving in the wet on what they call Comfort (all season/summer/winter road tyres), Sport (semi-slick track tyres), and Racing (full slicks).

IRL driving in the wet on full slicks is a whole lot sketchier than on road tyres or semi slicks. So they made that obvious, and the difference pronounced. Maybe a little OTT, but it is what it is.

Also consider downforce. A lot of the grip a racecar creates is from travelling fast enough for the aero to create downforce. If we’re forced to stick to a narrow dry line to avoid the wet (looking at you, S10), we’re naturally going to be carrying less speed because we’re so preoccupied with staying on the tightrope. So we don’t even have a helpful amount of downforce creating grip when we accidentally stray into the wet. The issue compounds itself.

It took me a bit of time to crack S10. But it was really rewarding once I finally did. I’m ok with that.
