Yes. Which is just as well for Konami's part as Q1 video game sales are generally low any way.

Or adding fuel to the fire to the old "MGS4 is huge" rumors, and therefore not only will need more time to finish, but will likely need a dual layer 50 GB Blu-ray disc to hold it all... Which would of course confirm what Hideo Kojima had already said several months ago, and why MGS4 would not be able to be released on the current 360.

I still think MGS Online may very well get released on PC and even the 360, but that does seem less likely now than it did a few months ago.
 
Dual Layer 50GB Blu Ray... that just sounds amazing!... they should do 2 versions, like a collectors edition with concept art, documentaries etc... show the true hugeness of Blu Rays storage capabilities!

The fourth, is Alaska. Nobody knows the final location, however. I kind'a want to keep that one a secret. Though, I've speculated it could be China on account of Eva and Liquid's background.
 
MGS4 Demo was shown and playable at CES 2008 in Las Vegas. There are YT videos, but not really worth it. However, if you're 'hard up' for some new demo footage, they're there for you.

Nothing really new to report. Konami announced when they'll make an announcement about the release of the game. Late February, so I suspect a late March to mid May release date.

As usual, MS Fanboys made an attack attempt at MGS4's frame rate 'issues' which don't exist. Konami announced the frame rate hasn't been completely finalized, so that means Konami are having serious problems with it and we'll get the game at 720 30fps, according to those MS idiots. :rolleyes:

Kojima revealed at TGS that there would be over 70 weapons in Metal Gear Solid 4, and what’s more they would be customisable. With CES going on right now, we are getting new footage of some of these weapons. Watching these five new videos from the MGS4 English demo, it’s almost safe to say that Kojima has done it again.

Kojima continues to announce new features, such as being able to play the game in First Person Mode, suggesting that there isn’t anything Snake can’t do. Furthermore, with over 70 weapons, MGS4 is going to be one of the most feature full games to come out in 2008.

In this following video from youtube user Konrad52, you can see the epic weapon shown in the title image - the rocket launcher, “Javelin”.


MGS4 will have the most diverse array of weapons yet seen in a Metal Gear game, not only because of the sheer amount, but that you can modify each weapon extensively.

As you get hold of new gear, you can add scopes, flashlights, shotguns, grenade launchers and more. This gear can be added to your weapons on pre-determined mounts to create something that will help you get through your diverse enemy encounters.

I have to say im VERY excited about this game... before i saw some of the things posted here... Looks fantastic, i dont have much time right now but that animation of the guy being dropped looks so good.

You're right, it is better then nothing :P I've played all other MGS games, this one is looking like it could be the best. Is the D-mic etc. counted in the 70 weapons? because 70 weapons may not mean 70 guns.

The D-Mic was always considered an item or "equipment" and never a weapon. I'm sure it's going to be back.
 
Proof, or false hope of a playable MGS4 demo coming soon on the PSN?

In the past, the British official PS magazine has revealed new info on the MGS series before anybody else.

Oh I really hope so! A demo would be great and would quite possibly be the most downloaded demo on the PSN if it were.
 
great news, really looking foreward to this.. it was playable at Las Vegas so I don't see how had it would be to do..

No PSN demo. But, if you put money down on a pre-order, you'll get a MGO 'code' and will be able to play online sometime at the end of April, when MGO goes 'online.' This offer will run in mid-early April.
