Agreed. Kojima probably notice how people sit (like me) and watch how the guards move for 10, 20 minutes, and then make their move. That's not realistic in the real world.

in reality, unless its a rapid time frame, observations would be made over days or weeks to plan a sortie.

harder than the MGS HD Collection

Although I never personally did it (got as far as the SPOILERS bit), I'd consider a BBE run way easier than the MGS1 Snake VR missions, which I also didn't do (years and years ago, haven't tried the HD collection yet). Just make sure you have EVERY item, stock up on chaff grenades before you start and save in new files often. The emblem before that, The Boss was it? That was pretty easy really, the only hard part was the SPOILERS

You forgot that one iPod track requires you to get all 40 emblems so yeah it's going to be way too hard.

Not hard, just time consuming. The BBE is the only really difficult one and it's nowhere near as difficult as getting the top score in ALL of the VR missions.

Although I have no real interest in trophies all this hype the game has been getting recently has gave me the urge to play through it once again, so as soon as i finish Shadow of the Colossus i shall start my 3rd playthough of this.

Don't think i'm going to sit through every cutscene tho if i remember correctly some cut-scenes are over an hour long!

500MB Patch Size, 9GB Optional Game Install Size

Gaming Everything
As promised, Konami and Kojima Productions have released the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots patch in Japan today. It’s a pretty big download – 498 megabytes to be exact.

Along with Trophy support, users can opt to fully install the game on a hard drive. This eliminates the need to install data between acts. In order to make it through the install process, the hard drive will need about 9 gigabytes of free space.

Some reports say that the full install takes roughly 16 minutes to finish. Also worth mentioning is that Metal Gear Solid 4 appears to differentiate between pre-patch and post-patch save data.

The patch is pretty big, any hidden feature or updates ? I wish with the patch there will be less frame rate drops when in a heated combat and DTS audio become available.

I am also wondering if the full install will erase all downloaded Ipod songs + podcast and camo suits ? Anyone who have got the patch could give some infos ?

Some gamers on gaming sites and forums with the JP version are reporting improvements to framerate compared to the original release and removal of the Metal Gear Online option from the menu, plus the added install option.

Only a few more hours left to see any changes, if any, for myself.

Well it's time to delete all unnecessary movies, music, wallpapers and themes from your ps3. Finally :sly:

I've just downloaded the patch, version 2.00. There are 34 trophies, 14 of them are hidden trophies as speculated. The "Metal Gear Online" option has been deleted from the menu, confirming it isn't coming back. The smart thing, is that instead of having redundant MGO data on your HDD the game deletes it after downloading the patch, freeing up 1-2 GB of HDD. I will also say, the game seems to be smoother than it was originally and I may be crazy, but some textures seem to look a lot better too.

@Darren200cook : Quick question, Have you tried to run the game with DTS audio ? This can be done by unchecking all audio format, and choosing only DTS under XMB audio option.

Can anyone in NA confirm that the patch is live in NA? I am about to get the game again, and I don't want to get it if there isn't the patch.

Full install didn't take long at all. Just got the "Hands Up!" trophy. Pretty fast loading so far compared to non-patch. Framerate is improved/more stable from what little I've played. I'm at the Middle East Redzone area with the statues.

Edit: Just got the hidden "Handle With Caution" trophy with the statues. I forgot about the hilarity within the game haha!
