So, the game has moved some of the vehicles and weapons I've extracted to my FOB. A lot of them, actually. How do I get it back? I extracted that **** to sell it, not to keep on some base that never gets invaded anyway.
You'll sell them automatically through the iDroid. But I would keep them - they're very useful in defending FOBs.I know how to sell things. How do i sell things that aren't on my home base?
A friend of mine played it and said it was just "OK" but not great. He said I'd wont care for it, like I didn't care at all for MGO3.I've been playing a decent bit of Metal Gear Online. It's decent. Hahah.
The ones that aren't on my home base are greyed out and can't be sold. I don't see how a dozen trucks and 4wds are going to help me defend my FOBs.You'll sell them automatically through the iDroid. But I would keep them - they're very useful in defending FOBs.

I'm pretty sure it's just a record of things that you have had in the past. The ones that aren't on my home base are greyed out and can't be sold. I don't see how a dozen trucks and 4wds are going to help me defend my FOBs.
I'm pretty sure it isn't. The grey numbers are for items and resources that are stored "online". resources mined by the FOBs fall under this category online+offline resources are added together when you build things like new platforms. You can however not sell the online resources, and seeing as FOBs can't create vehicles, these must have come from my main base.I'm pretty sure it's just a record of things that you have had in the past.
They split resources between offline and online too. So can't develop a nuke using offline farming anymore, you need to go out and raid FOBs to get resources. Also, FOB missions will no longer steal your offline resources. So MGS V got an update that added grade 7 weapons (nothing new as far as I've seen on the Konami site, just upgrades), FOB insurance, some other bits and an increased resource cap. Shame I still don't have a desk otherwise I'd head home to get my PC tonight...
They all sound like very sensible changes. So MGS V got an update that added grade 7 weapons (nothing new as far as I've seen on the Konami site, just upgrades), FOB insurance, some other bits and an increased resource cap. No, you don't have to.I'm still at 9% of the game because IRL stuff. My question is, do I really have to go to Mother Base every Mission/Sideops (though its automatic after doing main story missions) and greet soldiers or explore the base? I found that a bit tedious. But still I'm doing that because I might miss some secret events in the base. No spoilers please. Thank you.
You will have to go back a couple of times for story events and the like, and it always pays to explore - there are collectibles to be found, time trials that are always good for a GMP boost, and it helps to acquaint yourself with the layout for FOB raids - but you can stay out in the field for as long as you like. To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing missable at Mother Base.@prisonermonkeys Thank you. The idea of exploring the base often kinda turned me off to play the game. Now I will just enjoy it.

I didn't know that. I thought the mission will fail if you get out of the mission area so I always finish the mission by the chopper. Thanks for the advice. It's not always automatic, you can leave mission areas (which are marked on the map) on foot, horseback or in a vehicle and the game will just show you the scorecard and you'll resume in the field. Then you can start missions from the iDroid which places start points in the world for you to visit then accept the mission.
That said, there are quite a few ops that force you to go back to MB. That's what I want to try out in my next playthrough, only returning when I'm forced to.
And going to the helicopter won't take you back to Mother Base by default unless it's scripted. As you're only at 9% completion, you're probably still going through the tutorial phase. You'll usually go back to the Aerial Command Centre and can re-deploy from there. Calling the helicopter can be expensive, and sometimes exfiltrating via land is an additional objective (check the iDroid after the mission is complete to check them all - sometimes they make missions play very differently).I didn't know that. I thought the mission will fail if you get out of the mission area so I always finish the mission by the chopper. Thanks for the advice.
Nope, unless you don't complete your mission, then yes.I didn't know that. I thought the mission will fail if you get out of the mission area so I always finish the mission by the chopper. Thanks for the advice.
Another speedy getaway after-mission is to climb on top of a container and fulton it with you on top.Nope, unless you don't complete your mission, then yes.
When done, ride out of the "hot zone" which is that red line on your map. Once done with the mission, you're now in free-roam mode, which you can always go into at any time from the droid.
If you don't want to free-roam around, just push select and "return to ACC" to avoid costly helicopter pick ups. Also, when leaving the hot zone with a prisoner or vehicle, it/they too will extracted out of there at no cost to you.
Yep, do that all the time.Another speedy getaway after-mission is to climb on top of a container and fulton it with you on top.
I wish there was a way to build it offline and use my resources I have offline. I understand, I cannot use my resources offline to build it, which pretty much means I'm not going to bother at this time, or at all.@Solid Lifters - There is no rank awarded for missions that take place on Mother Base.
As for FOBs, you build them the same way that you do Mother Base. It has the added feature of fine-tuning security settings, so make sure you set them to maximum and retrieve all of the blueprints for security devices and develop them as soon as possible. You should also expand each platform to two decks as soon as possible because that will make it harder for people to infiltrate. Given the heavy bias in favour of defenders, people scour the lists of available FOBs, looking for under-developed and under-defended bases for easy raids.
No, there is not. Keep in mind though that a future update might introduce some use for it. (Though probably not an issue if you have everything maxxed out). So, is there any point to have a high ranking Base Development Platform when you have everything at 4/4 and don't need the resources? I might as well dismantle it and send the high ranking soldiers elsewhere.
Did they have the Boaster skill? Boasters tend to exaggerate their dkills when scanned. So S-rank soldiers have finally started to appear in my game. I've fultoned two now, and on both occasions, the game decided that none of them were S-ranks when they arrived at Mother Base. 🤬 this 🤬. I can't tell if this is poor game design, or if it's the game intentionally trying to piss me off. Wouldn't be the first time I suppose...
